If you are looking to apply for a payment arrangement be sure to pay attention to the payment extension dates and deadlines. If you are willing to wait on hold then you should call into the IRS and they will work with you one on one to set up a payment arrangement that fits your needs. You can call customer support at the IRS using 800-829-1040. Once you call press 1 for English then wait for the recording to end. Press 2 then 1 then 3 then 2. The recording will then ask for your social security number you can just press 0# it will ask again then press 0# and finally press 2 once it asks you a question. You will be told your wait time and a representative will pick up to help you.

I need to add last years tax liability to my current payment plan. I am expecting a large refund for the year **** which will help pay a lot of it down. I’m not sure if it will completely cover it all but will continue making payments if not. Our total income dropped in **** to approximately **,*** for a family of *. I lost my job January *th **** and then suffered a heart attack in April and had quadruple bypass after the surgery I suffered acute respiratory failure and spent * weeks in drug induced coma and then suffered deep sternal wound infection and had to be reopened * more times and wound up being hospitalized for ** days and then received home nursing and therapy for another * weeks. I have only been back to work for * weeks at new job that does not pay even close to old income. And at new job have claimed * exemptions to not owe in future. If this can be arranged it would be much appreciated and weight and burden off of myself and my family
