I have the taxes that were filed for my deceased husband back in [redacted]. After attempting to return them to the IRS at that time, due to a strike, no one reached out to me. Recently, I discovered that there is a lien on my house as I am in the process of selling it. To facilitate the sale and have the lien lifted, I am seeking guidance on where to send the death certificate, marriage license, and the necessary documents. Please provide me with the address to mail these documents to resolve this matter promptly. Thank you, Lana A.

We are currently facing an uncollectable debt situation with the IRS and are seeking assistance to resolve it. The issue arose from a mortgage renegotiation with Wells Fargo in [redacted], where we were represented by an unlicensed law firm. Subsequently, after losing our house in [redacted], I liquidated my IRA to purchase a new home, resulting in significant tax liability. Our attorney, Mr. Boyd, who is currently facing action from the State Bar, misled us regarding the tax penalties and interest. We acknowledge our tax obligation and are willing to pay the principal amount but seek forgiveness for the penalties and interest. We are prepared to make a lump sum payment if this arrangement is acceptable. As I am turning 70 this year, I would like to resolve this issue and not leave it as a burden for my family. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Michael M. [redacted]

We have a lien on our house and are trying to sell it in order to pay off some of our obligations to the IRS. Since September [redacted], we have been consistently making monthly payments of $[redacted], demonstrating our commitment to addressing our debt. However, there is a lien on the house, and the person assigned to assist us has not been responsive despite multiple attempts to contact her over the past 30 days. We have a potential buyer for the house, but the lien needs to be lifted for the sale to proceed. The buyers are willing to extend the closing date, but the situation is time-sensitive. We are requesting the lien to be lifted so that we can use the sale proceeds to pay off our debts to the IRS and have funds left to secure another home. Thank you for your help and consideration. Sincerely, Kristie G.

A tax lien was placed on [redacted] West Foothill Drive in Peoria, Arizona a few years ago when we were in a noncollectible status. I am uncertain how this could happen. Unfortunately, I faced a battle with cancer and we struggled to pay off the debt. We were dealing with a company to settle the debt, but discovered they were fraudulent and took our money. I propose paying 65K upfront to release the tax lien and setting up monthly payments for the remaining balance, which should be a smaller amount. I am hoping some fees can be waived given our circumstances. It seems excessive that we are being charged 27K in fees for a debt of around 87K. By refinancing our home to get the 65K, I believe we can handle this debt without incurring high charges. Your cooperation in accepting the 65K payment, a lien release, and agreeing to a payment plan would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your understanding and help. Christina B.

Hello, my name is Frank Ceci. I encountered an issue with my installment agreement. While trying to add $30 to my existing plan, there was a miscommunication, leading to a possible lien. I contacted the installment agreements department two weeks ago, and they understood my mistake, adding the $30 to my payments correctly. However, I was directed to a different department to address the lien, and despite multiple attempts over the past three days (Friday, Monday, and today), I haven't been able to reach anyone. I faced long wait times and had to hang up when the working hours ended. I am worried as the deadline for the lien is approaching, and I've received many calls from companies offering help, but I'm cautious due to potential scams. If you can provide a direct number or officer's name to assist me promptly, I would appreciate it. Thank you for your attention and support.

I am writing about my late father and the approximately $[redacted],[redacted] worth of liens attached to his truck, camper, and property, which have recently come to my attention. I would like these assets seized due to various reasons. I have stored them on private property and am prepared to assist in facilitating this process correctly. Please get in touch with me to guide me on the necessary steps. I possess my father's social security number and a copy of the death certificate. Unfortunately, his passing was premature, leading to unresolved affairs. While I was his medical Power of Attorney, I am unsure about his choice for financial matters. Thank you for your assistance. Rachel

I have called the IRS five times myself and also had my attorney reach out. I am trying to resolve a manual release process for a lien. However, every person I speak to provides different information and does not address my specific questions. It is crucial that this matter is resolved before Friday because my house closing is scheduled for that day, and the title company is awaiting a response. I have spent hours on the phone since last Thursday. I was informed by the IRS to submit form [redacted], which I did, but then my attorney was denied permission to discuss the matter after I spent two hours granting authorization. The IRS said no. Tomorrow, I will have to call again to continue attempting to resolve this issue. When I bring up the lien, they avoid discussing it. How should I proceed with this situation?

In [redacted], my refund was applied to a [redacted] balance, which was resolved through bankruptcy repayment. I received a "release of lien" mentioning that Code section [redacted] applies to resolved taxes and additions. Unfortunately, my calls to the lien department were unsuccessful, and my in-person visit to an IRS office was not very helpful. I am seeking advice on how to speak to a representative from the lien department regarding this matter.

Subject: Inquiry About Potential Lien and Tax Refunds I, H.Y.S., residing at [redacted] W 3rd Ave, #4, Phoenix, AZ [redacted], am reaching out as I suspect there may be a third-party lien against me but am unaware of the details. It seems to be related to my federal tax refunds for the years [redacted] to [redacted], totaling $3,[redacted]. After being released from prison in November [redacted] following a four-year term starting in January [redacted], I would appreciate clarification on any communication, possibly about "education," that may have been sent to me. Currently without employment in this year, I depend on the support of relatives and friends. I kindly request forgiveness for any outstanding balance on the lien. Alternatively, please provide a statement of the amount owed and payments made. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I recently discovered a tax lien on my late husband's house, now under my name, which is complicating the sale of the property while I'm in escrow. The IRS indicated a possible error in how my former accountant filed taxes, causing me to amass debt while trying to manage bills from my husband's IRA and stocks. Despite seeking advice from an estate attorney and following their recommendation to put the estate into probate, I find myself overwhelmed with debt owed to the IRS and the State of California. I've reached out to the IRS Advocates for help, but have yet to receive a response. I'm eager to resolve this issue promptly and am willing to pay the necessary interest and fees. Can someone advise me on expediting form [redacted] or provide guidance on speaking with someone directly at the office? Thanks.
