The surprise or “special” car was a compact, which was fine, but we were denied free coverage for a second driver while someone standing right next to me, renting a compact, was offered free coverage. When I requested the same free coverage, the attendant rudely stated that because I booked it through Hotwire I would have to pay nearly $** a day extra. Then I was rudely given the key to the car and told to find it in the car lot by sounding the panic button without any indication where it might be. My wife and the couple we travelled with were all not impressed. After a long travel time from Canada we didn’t argue or protest, but needless to say we were disappointed with the service. I recognize that this is a good price, but it is misleading as we felt we were treated like secondhand citizens and really didn’t get the deal that Hotwire proclaimed. As it stands now I am the only driver* do the math and by adding another over two weeks, there goes the saving. Hotwire should be aware of the poor service Advantage has towards your customers. We have used Hotwire many times in the past and have been very satisfied. Please rectify this by contacting Advantage and allow us to continue our holiday with a second driver. I would appreciate a quick response. Dennis E. Maruska
