I ordered a washer and dryer on ***** and set up delivery for ****. I requested the time off work so that I could be home all day to receive them. *The day before, I missed the call from the third party delivery company who did not leave a message but I called back ** minutes later only to get an answering machine stating that they were closed. After doing trying to call and reach a person at Home Depot, I finally found a way to chat with a live person on their website who told me my delivery time would be between **-*. *The following morning, I called the delivery company again to confirm that I was still on their list for delivery since I did not speak directly to them. They ensured that I was still scheduled between **&* and would receive a call ** minutes before they arrived. I waited until * and had not heard from anyone so I called again. The girl I spoke with said that the driver said he was at the delivery just before mine and would be calling me soon. *I finally got a call back from him at *:** asking if anyone from the office called to let me know that he was having truck problems. I told him no and he told he that he still intended to get all his deliveries done that day and he would call me back shortly with an eta. I still had not heard back from him at * and tried to call him back only to get his voice mailbox that was full. I tried again ** minutes later and got the same result. *At this point, I tried to find the chat option in Home Depot again (could not find it), tried calling a few different numbers I found for Home Depot (it just kept giving me prompts that led me to the same result each time, that I was still scheduled for a delivery time that had passed by several hours), and finally got a hold of someone with GE home delivery (apparently not part of Home Depot?). She also tried reaching the driver and was unable and could only offer to reschedule for another two weeks out (***** which would have me paying for appliances not in my possession for nearly a month). I said I’d try to reach Home Depot again in the morning to sort something else out. After hanging up with her, the driver finally called at *:** pm. I had to be to work early and have kids to get up in the morning so I had to decline at that time. **This morning, I was told that the delivery company could only deliver on fridays this month (which are difficult for me to get off) so I set it up for **** with the hopes that they can deliver first thing in the morning (however, I’m not feeling hopeful after the way I was jerked around yesterday) so that I don’t have to miss another day of work or have someone else receive the delivery who may not be as responsible. *Between the time I’ve taken off of work and the time wasted trying to reach someone who can actually make amends (still waiting on this) I’m very disappointed in the service we’ve received. I don’t normally complain to companies or about companies because I’ve worked in retail and know that things can happen. However the lack of customer service I’ve received and the difficulty I’ve had trying to resolve this situation warranted me reaching out to someone. *I would appreciate if someone made an effort to contact me and attempt to keep a customer. There isn’t a Home Depot in the town I live in (there is a Lowe’s) but we have always received great service in store so often go out of our way to go to Home Depot.
