The issue in GetHuman-ertugk's own words
We have been using Hertz for years for our rental car needs and this was the first time we had a problem with it. We made a reservation via Orbitz almost two months ago and it was prepaid. When we arrived in Kailua-Kona, HI on Dec ** however, there was no vehicle available as promised. We were told that some customers didn't return their vehicles on time and thus the shortage of vehicles. We waited for a while and had to take a cab to our resort at the end. This was a great inconvenience for us as we had only two days on the island and had a busy schedule planned. Late in the morning the next day, we were finally asked to come back to the airport to pick up the vehicle. We were also promised to be reimbursed for these rides by the unit managers (Nick and Joshua). When I told them that we were effectively having the vehicle for only two days instead of the three as originally paid for and asked to be refunded one-day charge, I was told that I had to contact Hertz customer service for that. I hereby ask that you refund us one-day charge during which we didn't have any vehicle and also reimburse us for the cab charges from*to the airport (receipts of which were emailed to Joshua Timberlake as requested).
