Trying to get reimbursement of service on new unit ... Our Heil unit is less than two and a half year old. The coil leaked out the refrigerant. Contractor W. C. Butler diagnosed the leaking coil. They replaced the coil & refrigerant on October, **, **** for a total of $***.** which includes the diagnose, labor and refrigerant. The unit is only two and a half year old and we are very disappointed with the performance of this new unit. We feel like the unit should have not failed in this two and a half year time frame. We do not think we should be responsible for the diagnoses, refrigerant and labor cost in the amount of $***.**. We would like Heil Heating & Cooling Products to fully reimburse us the amount of the repairs of $***.** to Stephen & Ann Rogers, *** Ridgley Lane, Fincastle VA *****. **PS Outside unit has a ratchet sound when it turns off. Two different technicians have said this is alright.
Our unit is only two and a half years old and the coil should have not gone bad. We had to replace the coil and refrigerant.
We want to be reimbursed the amount of the service call.
We have only been in this new house two and a half years.
