I have always loved shopping in Hallmark stores but I think a recent experience has definitely changed my mind. On ******* I went into a local Hallmark store to exchange a tshirt that I received duplicates of for Christmas. I wasn't able to exchange because their tshirt stock was very low. I was issued a gift card. About * months ago I went in the store and they had a tshirt ** percent off and really liked it so I carried it to check out and have them my gift card for payment. The sales associate tried the card several times and it came up invalid . She said she remembered issuing the card. She called her manager at home and her manager told her to call Hallmark. She called Hallmark and they ask for my name and address . They told the sales associate that I would receive a replacement gift card. The sales associate told me that it may take a couple of months to recieve a new card. I tried to call Hallmark several times but never got to talk to anyone. Today(****) I received a letter from Hallmark stating * balance on card and card was invalid. Letter also said that I needed to contact the store where card was issued. The letter was dated ****. I called the store and spoke to the manager to the manager and she said to come to the store tomorrow and she would give me a store credit. I probably will not be able to get the shirt that I wanted to purchase months ago at ** percent off because I recieved a call from the store while I was waiting for my REPLACEMENT gift card from Hallmark. The ladies at the store have been very nice but I am MORE than disappointed at Hallmark for the run around they have given me and I will be sure to tell EVERYONE I know. I have a SWEET card for u!
