Attempted to update my HP ***-****qd Envy Tower from Windows** build **** to ****. It "bricked" the computer. New Windows is running (I can access shared files over my LAN from another computer) but the screen has only a few icons in the task bar and nothing on the desktop. Mouse works but keyboard is dead. Can't do anything on the machine. I've spent the last two days transferring key files to a drive on another computer, and now ready to attempt a restore*recovery, but seem to have no options but a clean install which I would like to avoid if possible.
GetHuman-kenburkh did not yet indicate what HP should do to make this right.
