January *, ******HP Support,**This past March ****, I purchased a HP ENVY ** from Costco. I had wanted a new laptop for photo and video editing and it was for sale for a very good price.**The serial number is:...............*CG****QCG*The product number is:............*EW**UA*ABA**A month or so (check your records) after purchasing my laptop, I called HP Support to see why it was running so slowly. The support tech reviewed every setting and ran some test to see what he could do to help. He was very professional and did what he could. I do think he may have improved things but I finally decided to just use my desktop for photo and video editing while I figured out what could be done at a later time.**I still used my laptop but for other non-compute intensive things. And I continued to read similar performance complaints from other ENVY ** users on the Internet. Other ENVY ** users solved their problems by replacing their hard drives with SSD drives.**I purchased a *TB SSD to replace my primary HD. I then planned to move the HD to the open spot within the laptop. The SSD fit perfectly where the HD had been located. The SSD easily plugged onto the cable that had been attached to the HD. Everything worked perfectly.**The new SSD has solved all of my HP EVNY ** issues. ***(This is my complaint) **There is no cable wired for the secondary drive. Nothing. I have never seen anything like this before. I have been working with various vendors desktops and laptops for almost ** years and this is a first. Please file this complaint with someone who understands the issue.
