Subject: Update Needed on Invoice [Ref no [redacted] PE [redacted]6] Patricia O’Brien 51A Talbot Rd Lady Barn Manchester M14 6TA Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to address Invoice [Ref no [redacted] PE [redacted]6] in the amount of £[redacted].40. Several months ago, I previously informed you that I do not owe this payment as my company has been closed for the past two years due to the impact of covid-19. The intention behind setting up PAYE was to pursue a contract which unfortunately did not materialize, leading to the official closure of my company. Given my current circumstances and absence from the UK, I kindly request that you update your records accordingly. Additionally, I urge you to inform the debt collection agency pursuing this matter that the debt is invalid. Due to my prolonged stay in France, any prior communications may have been missed. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Regards, Patricia O’Brien

I have requested a tax repayment multiple times as I overpaid, but have not received any funds yet. This is my first time experiencing this issue. My original request was submitted on 13-10-[redacted]. I am aware that HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) can take up to 4 weeks to process repayments due to security measures. I submitted my repayment request only once as advised. The repayment amount is £[redacted].20 and is set to be deposited into my personal account under the name of Mr. William Mellon with the account number [redacted] and sort code [redacted]. Despite trying to follow up on this three additional times, I am still awaiting my overpayment refund.

I have been dealing with an ongoing problem regarding a tax return that has not been paid out since last year. I have provided all the necessary identification for the payout. Recently, an adviser assured me that the money had been transferred to my bank account, but I have checked my HMRC account and still see the payment pending. This payment is for £30,[redacted]. Due to financial difficulties and being in debt, I am really counting on this money to help me out. It is essential that I receive the money owed to me promptly.

In [redacted], when I was employed full-time, I successfully applied for the marriage tax allowance and received a refund. However, in March [redacted], after being made redundant, I became self-employed in May of the same year. Recently, I realized that my passport has expired, and I am having trouble confirming my identity online to claim the allowance again. I assumed the process was automatic, but sadly, it is not. As a result, I haven't applied for the marriage tax allowance in the past few years. Given our current self-employed status, both my spouse and I could greatly benefit from receiving this refund. How should I proceed with the application if I am unable to confirm my identity online?

On November 21, [redacted], we reached out to request a tax certificate from HMRC for double taxation relief, along with having two tax exemption claims stamped and signed. Despite the urgency of the matter, we are still awaiting a response after over 4 months have passed. The timely receipt of these documents is crucial, and we hope to receive them promptly. Below is a copy of the initial letter sent on November 15, [redacted], for your reference: Date: 15 November [redacted] Your Ref: UTR [redacted] Our Ref: AG/[redacted] Diana Wassif HMRC PAYE and Self Assessment BX9 1AS U.K. Dear Sirs, Diana Wassif NINO NE028265C I represent Diana Wassif (SA Agent ID:82905L) and am seeking a tax certificate for double taxation relief on income earned in Portugal. I tried to submit my [redacted]/21 Self Assessment Tax Return online in October [redacted]. I received a 'Notification Received' on 05/10/21 informing me that I didn't need to submit it, so I didn't. However, on 08/03/22, I got a Tax Penalty Notice for non-submission, asking for £[redacted] by 14/04/22. Calling HMRC at 0[redacted] was unhelpful. I can't find another way to reach them. Can you help me understand why I was told not to submit the tax return in [redacted] but am now penalized for not doing so? Thank you.

The issue with receiving a code on my mobile phone has been fixed. To proceed with the self-assessment, I need to verify my identity. I have a passport but require another form of identification like a credit card or a mobile phone bill. I only have debit cards and use pay-as-you-go for my phone, so I don't have a bill. I contacted HMRC and was informed they would call me within three days. Despite selecting a suitable time and leaving my landline number, no one called. After another unsuccessful attempt and a promise for a same-day call, I still did not receive any communication. Unable to access my self-assessment, I sent a letter with all my contact details but am not optimistic about a response. This challenge is likely due to my long absence from filing self-assessments as I lived abroad for many years. I am currently in the UK but may be leaving again soon.

I am seeking assistance. I am a citizen of Slovenia currently working in Sweden. Over the past few months, I invested 30,[redacted] euros in bitcoin contracts and trading and made a profit of around 90,[redacted] US dollars. Today, when I requested a withdrawal of 94,[redacted] US dollars from my broker, she agreed and released the funds. Surprisingly, just an hour and 20 minutes later, I received a call from the tax agency of England stating that I owe 17,[redacted] US dollars in taxes. I am baffled by how swiftly the tax agency acted and unsure of how to handle this sudden demand since I do not have the required funds available. The tax official warned me of potential involvement of Interpol if I fail to pay. This unexpected situation has left me in shock, and I am uncertain about the legitimacy of these demands. There are no official documents or forms provided, just a request to send the money to the broker for tax payment. I desperately seek guidance as I have exhausted my savings, and now I am facing threats of criminal charges for an unfamiliar tax obligation. Your help in clarifying the proper procedure would be greatly appreciated. Lucijan Perlic.

On January 24th, HMRC agreed to a payment plan for my outstanding self-assessment taxes due to my recent health struggles. Despite my agreed-upon payments of £[redacted] on the 24th and £[redacted].94 on the 26th of each month, I was unexpectedly fined £67 on April 12th. I am diligently fulfilling the payment schedule but am confused by this additional charge. I am unable to spend prolonged periods on hold with HMRC due to work commitments. I contacted them even the day before my surgery to meet their deadlines and agreed to the payment plan they now seem to have overlooked. It would be greatly appreciated if this could be rectified promptly.

Dear Sirs, I recently received a letter regarding filing my tax return for the last financial year, even though I have already filed and paid my taxes in January. Approximately £[redacted] was deducted from my account in February. However, it appears that my tax code was adjusted incorrectly, resulting in an additional deduction from my employee's salary for the same amount. I would like a refund of the overcharged amount. My tax code has now been corrected. Instead of referring me to set up a personal tax account or calling a certain number, which hasn't been helpful, I kindly request to speak with a representative directly or receive a refund either through my salary or the amount I paid in February. The current communication has been frustrating and time-consuming, especially when I have fulfilled all obligations promptly. I urge for a resolution and a more efficient customer service experience. I believe there should be better assistance available for taxpayers like me. My reference No is 20[redacted]6. Yours sincerely, A.

I am seeking clarification on my tax payments. In October [redacted], I established a payment plan for my 19/20 return. Upon completion, I received a letter informing me of an £11 credit. Subsequently, in November [redacted], I initiated a payment plan for my 20/21 return. Regrettably, in January, my Direct Debit (DD) failed. I promptly covered the payment with my debit card a few days later, unaware of the pending DD retry, which also bounced. Upon contacting the debt management department, I was informed that my prior payment plan was £[redacted] short, merging it with my current balance. Consequently, my monthly installment surged to £[redacted] until February [redacted]. Reviewing my HMRC account, the statement section indicates a £[redacted] shortfall for 19/20, but the payment history reflects full settlement. The discrepancy persists as my records and the payment plan conclusion indicated £11 credit. I am confused by the £[redacted] discrepancy and would appreciate a review or guidance on exploring my payment history. My UTPN is [redacted]. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Dear Sir or Madam, I kindly request that this message be forwarded to the appropriate department for urgent attention. It has come to my attention that our company, Brandon Tool Hire, is not complying with HMRC regulations regarding pool vehicles and fuel expenses. Since September [redacted], company vans are being kept overnight and on weekends at employees' homes, including public holidays, contrary to the stipulation that they should not be kept at or near employees’ homes. This practice not only violates HMRC rules but also disrupts the personal lives of employees. I have brought this matter to the attention of all directors at Vp Plc, the company that owns Brandon Tool Hire, located at Central House, Beckwith Knowle, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, HG3 1UD. The contact number for Vp Plc is [redacted] [redacted] [redacted]. I urge for swift action to be taken in enforcing the regulations and ensuring compliance with the guidelines regarding company vehicles. Your immediate attention to this matter is greatly appreciated. Best regards, Alan H. Email: [redacted]

Dear Sir or Madam, I am requesting that this matter be forwarded to the appropriate department for urgent attention. It has come to my attention that our company is not compliant with HMRC regulations regarding expenses and benefits related to company vans and fuel. The guidelines clearly state that pool vehicles should not be kept at or near employees' homes, which our company has been doing since September [redacted]. This disregard for the rules not only violates HMRC regulations but also disrupts the peace of employees' private residences. The vehicles are consistently parked at employees' homes overnight on weekdays, weekends, and even on public holidays, except during employee vacations when they are returned. Our employees' address is 15 Kenwood Road South, Heacham, King's Lynn, PE31 7SL. The pool vehicles are provided by Brandon Tool Hire at Unit 6 Friesian Way, Hardwick Narrows, King's Lynn, PE30 4JQ, a subsidiary of Vp Plc located at Central House, Beckwith Knowle, Otley Road, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, HG3 1UD. I have already contacted all directors of Vp Plc, urging them to discontinue this practice. I kindly request that the appropriate actions be taken promptly to ensure compliance with regulations. Best regards, Alan H. Email: [redacted]

Good afternoon, I receive a basic hourly rate at work, with additional commission on sales deals. After deductions like tax, national insurance, and student loans, I pay around 39% on each deal. Recently, a deal fell through and my employer asked me to repay the full amount, which had already been deducted from my wages. For example, I had a commission deal of £90.87, where £35.43 was deducted initially. However, my employer reclaimed the full £90.87 later on. The issue is that my wage slip combines my hourly rate with commission, making it hard to differentiate. When the clawback occurs, it doesn't show up on my wage slip to adjust the deductions accurately.

Recently, I received a tax refund for £1,[redacted].36, but the cheque was mistakenly sent to Claims For U Ltd. The tax claim was personal, not through Claims For U. I reside at The Boatyard, Church Lane, Stibbington, Peterborough, PE8 6LP. I have a letter dated June 20, [redacted], indicating that the cheque was sent to Claims For U.

I am experiencing issues registering my VAT account details using your online form. I spoke with one of your advisors who confirmed my answers were correct. After being transferred to another staff member due to a potential IT issue at HMRC, the call abruptly ended without any resolution. Subsequent calls went unanswered as all lines were busy. I received a £60 bill for not submitting my recent return, yet I am unable to register on the HMRC system. I would appreciate a call to address this matter or an email confirmation from HMRC that the bill does not need to be paid due to registration difficulties. While I am open to email correspondence, I require HMRC to confirm my registration and waive the bill. I can be reached at [redacted]5; however, after being on hold for 52 minutes, the call was disconnected from your end. I seek an explanation for this situation.

I am in the process of selling my holiday home in France and need a letter from HMRC certifying my residency in the U.K. and affiliation to the national insurance system. I was born in Singapore on 15th July [redacted] to John Harcourt Craig, a British subject from England. Dear Customer Service, I am looking for an update on my double taxation claim. In March, you mentioned that you would evaluate the amount owed to me shortly, but I have not received any further information. I have a UK bank account where the reimbursement can be deposited. Unfortunately, I did not provide this previously. Can you please inform me of the progress of my claim, the amount owed, and when I can expect to receive it? I submitted the claim in July [redacted] and I am eager for it to be resolved. Thank you for your assistance with this matter. Sincerely, Helen S. Stokke

A package intended for my daughter is currently held at the Stansted office. Originally marked as a domestic parcel, FedEx mistakenly categorized it as commercial. This package contains my daughter's cell phone, which she urgently needs in London following a recent robbery. Despite paying the necessary taxes and duties, it has been over a week, and the phone has not been delivered. How can we speed up the process to ensure my daughter receives her phone promptly and can communicate with us to confirm her safety? Her ability to perform tasks like laundry is hindered without access to the phone, which is essential for services like Apple Pay. Your assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Reid D.

On December 1st, [redacted], I called to inquire about why my self-assessment accountant couldn't access my account. The representative mentioned a hold on my account in July that was resolved but not removed. They said my UTR needed to be reset and promised to organize a referral. I haven't received any update, and with the self-assessment deadline approaching, I urgently need this matter addressed. Regards, Lisa.
