Tax Ref YP******B*Received letter from you on ********** telling me I had not submitted my tax return on time. This letter was dated **********. It told me that I was subject to a penalty of £*** and that further delay after ***** (ie the day after the penalty notice arrived)), I would be subject to a further penalty of £** per day. I submitted an appeal against the penalty and also applied for an A*c code. I was told that the A*C code may take two weeks to arrive and that my appeal may not be considered until I have submitted my tax return.*I acknowledge that my tax return was not submitted on time and that the initial penalty of £*** was justified but that the current problems caused by Coronavirus means that mail correspondence is substantially delayed. *I cannot submit my tax form online until I receive my A*C code, which could take months (I received a birthday card from the UK on ***** which was posted on *****).*Can you please provide me with help that could reduce the time to submit my form and*or reassure me that I will not suffer further because of the current postal delays?*Thank you
