I need assistance with the Taxcode for my new role. I paid emergency tax when I returned to work in March [redacted] and my first month's salary was affected. I require a review for the tax year 19/20. I received an email from my global corporate accountant regarding the Tax code applied to my account for the second month of my current role in tax year 20/21, indicating it's at 20% which is not accurate since my salary puts me in the 40% tax bracket. I need the correct tax code adjustment. I've attempted to call multiple times, unsuccessfully. There are broken links on the website, preventing me from accessing my personal tax account to address these issues. I'm reaching out for help as this is my last resort.

On February 12, [redacted], I received a late self-assessment form fine of £[redacted], which I promptly paid on March 12th, [redacted]. Reference number: [redacted]2. I was informed that I needed to wait for an activation code to submit my tax form. I explained that I would be out of the country from March 16 for a week, and wouldn't have time to receive the code by post. They assured me they would activate it over the phone once approved by their manager. When I followed up later that day, they said the approval had been given, but it would take a few more days to activate. Before leaving the country, I checked again and found it was still not activated. Due to COVID-19, my flight was canceled, and I am currently unable to return to the country until June, as the airline is not operating. Yesterday, a family member opened an HMRC letter and discovered I have received another fine in March due by March 20. I am confused as to why I received this second fine when I had already paid the first one on March 12, and my account is still not activated for me to complete my self-assessment form. I am seeking clarification on this matter as it seems unfair to be fined again so quickly after paying the initial fine.

I need advice to ensure I make the right decisions. I launched a business 15 months ago and have been reinvesting all the profits back into the company, so I haven't taken any wages or dividends. Since my business is seasonal, I was planning to use the profits to pay wages and expenses this March for the holiday season, but now that's not possible due to the current situation. The company has assets worth 40k in profits, but no cash to cover taxes and wages. Can I backdate PAYE for furlough? How do I pay corporate tax without cash flow from assets? I have a promising new product post-Covid, but struggling with financial support. I want to seize this opportunity while ensuring my business survives. Any advice on handling paye backdating instead of declaring profits as dividends would be appreciated. I want to do things right without jeopardizing what I've built up despite concerns about the business's future.

I am currently partially retired and employed in the prison service. In May [redacted], I started receiving my prison service pension along with a lump sum. I have been working overtime, not in the prison, but at bed watches for the prison service, funded by the NHS. Due to additional tax deductions, my pension has been reduced by £[redacted] per month. My P60 indicates that 25.61% of my standard lifetime allowance has been utilized. I plan to continue working, focusing only on NHS-funded overtime. I am worried that my accounts might not be linked properly. I had previously entrusted SK Tax to handle my taxes while I was working on superyachts abroad and not liable to pay taxes in the UK. Now that I have stopped using their services and am managing my own taxes, I recently returned to the UK from Australia due to Covid. I noticed that the details of my previous employment on the yachts are missing from my account. I want to ensure that my government gateway is connected to the correct UTR number. On April 18th, I contacted HMRC regarding our final submission for month 12, which was initially stated at £[redacted].00. I explained that due to an employee leaving and locking us out of our Xero Account, we started a new account in March without full prior records. I suspected that we owed more based on wage slips. HMRC advised me to wait until the 20th for the system to update. As of now, it shows £3,[redacted] to be paid by tomorrow without a breakdown explanation. My name is Chris Perrett from Co Finchley Saab Ltd with PAYE Reference [redacted]/Ee01108. I urgently need to resolve this issue for the correct end-of-year update and submission as we are unable to pay. Last week, we had three days with no income, and our weekly earnings have significantly decreased over the past three weeks, totaling only £4,[redacted] instead of our usual £10,[redacted] per week.

I am reaching out for assistance regarding an issue with my end of year report on Basic Paye Tools RTI. Recently, I tried to reach out for help to correct a mistake I made. I had an employee who was paid £[redacted] weekly until November 22nd when she stopped working for us. I unintentionally left her in the system believing she may return for additional work. While finalizing my end-of-year report, I discovered this error and attempted to indicate her leaving on November 22nd. Hello, I have been informed by my employer that participating in the salary sacrifice schemes may affect my future eligibility for state benefits due to my current earnings level. I am working part-time, contributing to a company pension, and enrolled in the salary sacrifice scheme, which leads me to pay between £2 to £4 monthly for National Insurance. I am unclear if these contributions will secure my entitlement to a state pension. I have made full contributions for 5 years. Hello, I recently experienced an issue with my HMRC payroll account after a system update caused my laptop to crash. Following the incident, I noticed discrepancies in the billing where amounts totaling over £[redacted] and another over £[redacted] from [redacted] appeared overdue. These errors are concerning as I diligently keep my accounts up to date. Strangely, I now see two separate accounts linked to the same numbers post-update. I began working on March 5th, and the government introduced the Furlough scheme on March 21st. Unfortunately, as I only received payment for 2 weeks and started after the cut-off date, I did not qualify for Furlough support. However, the government has since updated the eligibility criteria to include those employed by March 19th. My employer, on the other hand, claims that I still do not qualify due to the submission process to HMRC. They argue that since they report employee details at the end of each month, my information was not sent until March 31st. They have cited government guidance regarding RTI submissions as their basis for denying my claim. Despite the government altering the scheme multiple times, my employer insists that their current understanding means I am not covered. I am seeking clarification on whether this is accurate.

Our two companies, Kin Capital Limited ([redacted]/JB31788)/[redacted]2, and Enterprise Investment Partners LLP ([redacted]/FB05041)/ OC357090, merged in Nov [redacted] and decided to handle payroll through Kin Employment Services Ltd due to the pandemic. We aimed to start the Tax Year [redacted]/21 under KES PAYE scheme and benefit from the CJRS. Even though we had ceased both companies on 01/04/[redacted], the government's requirement to be on payroll before 19 March posed a challenge as we were under EIP and KCL PAYE schemes at the time. I have since revoked the cessation of the companies, resubmitted the RTI and FPS, and tried to contact the HMRC Employer department with no success. I am currently registered as disabled at a high rate of disability and have recently given birth to a premature baby. Back in March, I contacted HMRC to request an extension until the end of March to provide self-assessment documentation due to my health conditions. Unfortunately, my deteriorating health and current medication regimen prevent me from physically going to the post office to submit the necessary forms on time. As a result, I fear missing the April 23rd deadline for self-assessment returns related to my now closed business. I am unfamiliar with completing this process online as my accountant handled it previously, but I am now in urgent need of assistance to potentially qualify for the self-employed grant. Hello, last month I noticed an extra tax charge on my pay slip due to being placed on emergency tax. After contacting you, I was informed that my P45 had not been submitted and there was confusion between Stoke on Trent College and my current employer regarding my employment status. I have followed up with my new employer, and they have assured me that my P45 was submitted correctly in December. I have checked my tax code on the gateway and it appears to be back to normal, but it does not indicate whether I will receive a tax rebate for the £[redacted] overpaid tax last month. My employer advised me to reach out to you again regarding the status of my tax refund as they have put me on a month one code.

I believe there has been an issue with payments impacting my child tax credits and my partner's working tax credits. From August 22, [redacted], to November 7, [redacted], there were 73 payments of £20 each, followed by payments of £15 from December 5, [redacted], to November 27, [redacted], and a final payment of £20.10. I have evidence from my online banking direct debits to support this. Unfortunately, ordering bank statements is costly at £5 per statement, so I have not been able to obtain all the relevant information. I noticed the discrepancy when my balance was lower than expected, affecting both my finances and my partner's while he is on furlough due to Covid-19. I am currently not working as my employment ended in March [redacted]. I hope for a prompt resolution to rectify this situation and avoid repaying money unnecessarily.

I am having trouble logging into PAYE online. I don't remember my password and attempted to reset it. However, when resetting the password, I enter the necessary information but encounter an error message after receiving the reset link via email. The system prompts me for a government gateway ID and a new password, but I receive an error stating the user ID I entered does not match the password reset request. I suspect there may be confusion with the email address being linked to multiple company government gateway IDs. Can someone please help reset my password so I can access the portal to register for Furlough?

I recently received a letter informing me of an outstanding tax bill of £[redacted].20 for the 2[redacted] tax year. I have diligently paid my taxes over the last two years and am unsure why this additional amount is owed. I am currently on contribution-based benefits and have a pension from Tesco. I handle the payroll for Keith Spicer Ltd. In February, when reviewing my P2, I noticed that my PAYE code was incorrect. After contacting HMRC, I discovered that the company had mistakenly registered for benefits through payroll. Once I discussed this with our accountant, we promptly unregistered. Subsequently, I and other colleagues received corrected P2 forms with the right tax codes. However, upon commencing the new tax year, these updated codes did not reflect in our payroll system. Despite contacting HMRC on April 9th and being informed that the correct codes would be available on our HMRC web page, upon checking yesterday, they were not present. As a result, I am unsure whether to input the codes myself in the payroll system, recognizing that most are inaccurate, or continue using last year's codes.
