To whom it may concern,**I have only worked for the months of April **** - August ****, then was out of the country travelling for * months. **I began work again during January and have been paid in February and March but have still not received my tax back - I know normally it works itself out, but when I received a payslip my tax code appeared as ****L - W*.**I'm confused as to why I've been given a Week * code, it seems as though it's the company account's mistake, as I gave them my recent HMRC letter showing my new tax code of ****L before I ever got paid.**It still hasn't been sorted and my workplace are a relatively new company and proving difficult to communicate through a middle man to their accountant.**I'm looking for confirmation really that I am due some tax back and how much?**What I don't want to happen is for it to roll over as the company appears to pay at an odd time and have already received my 'Period **' payment.**I'm worried it may roll into next year and I never receive it as a lump sum, I'm struggling at the moment and could really do with the help of that tax back.**Thank you very much for taking the time to read my enquiry.
