I recently purchased the Deluxe + State software today (03/06/22). Unfortunately, I mistakenly used the activation code for the Premium software instead. I then tried using the correct code on the Deluxe + State software but received an error. I called the number 1-[redacted] provided, and a person named Yash assisted me, mentioning he was in California despite the New Jersey area code. To ensure it wasn't a scam, I verified the legitimacy of the support number. In the end, I managed to obtain a new activation code by contacting 1-[redacted].

My son recently turned 18 on 5/20/[redacted], and I have claimed him on my taxes since his birth. Initially, I believed I couldn't claim him for [redacted] due to his age affecting my ability to receive stimulus payments. However, after he filed his own taxes and received his federal refund, I discovered I could still claim him. He promptly submitted a 1040X amended form online on 3/3/[redacted] to rectify this. Unfortunately, when I attempted to file my taxes online with H&R Block, I encountered a federal rejection because my son's social security number had already been used in his prior tax filing before I knew I could claim him. Despite my efforts to contact the IRS for assistance, I was unable to reach a live person. I am unsure of what steps to take next and would greatly appreciate any guidance.

I am currently filing my taxes online. I needed to add an item to my cart to file for NYS taxes, which costs $29.99. However, it seems an additional $10 item was unintentionally added to my cart. I would like to have this item removed promptly since it was not something I selected. I have been trying to contact customer service via phone multiple times but have had no success in reaching a representative. The wait times are incredibly long, eventually leading to disconnection before speaking to anyone. I am hopeful for a response soon.

I was billed $[redacted] for tax fixes for last year and this year. Previously told my return was accepted, but it was not. Due to errors by the preparer, my dependents' names and social security numbers were incorrect, leading to IRS rejection. I still possess last year's taxes to mail. Why the high fees from H&R Block when the preparer's mistakes led to this? Shouldn't my taxes be reduced or free due to their errors?

I've been a client of HR Block for 6 years, working with the same representative, Charles D., for the past 3 years. This year, I encountered issues when Charles submitted a bill of $[redacted] despite my request for a tax pro review which I had paid for. As a result, my account was locked and despite numerous attempts, I couldn't get a new representative assigned through customer service. I made a payment on 2/4/[redacted] for the service, but Charles setup a Retail Return instead of the tax pro review I paid for. Now, I can't access my account or see the work I did. Despite spending over 12 hours trying to resolve this through customer service, with multiple case numbers like [redacted]6 and [redacted]8, I have not been successful. After hours of calls and being redirected to different departments, I am looking to just have my DIY costs refunded and hoping for assistance.

I use a Mac with Big Sur V. 11.6.4 and recently bought your Deluxe Federal + State software for download for $50.94. After downloading the 34.7 MB file, I double-clicked the installer. A window prompted me to drag the icon into the App folder, which I completed. However, when I attempt to open the H&R Block [redacted] icon in the app folder, I receive an error message stating it cannot run from the disc image. The message advises me to drag it into the app folder, which I already did. The [redacted] H&R Block is installed in the app folder and functions properly, unlike the [redacted] version. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I e-filed my [redacted] taxes with H&R Block in November [redacted], expecting a refund. Despite being told it would take about 21 days, after four months, I'm in limbo. Initially, H&R reps said it was with the IRS, but now they claim it's pending on their end. They can't explain why or fix it. I visited the local office multiple times, and after missed promises, I have no confirmation if they refiled on Jan 25th. This delay has caused financial strain, leading me to take out a loan, cancel surgery, and return to work injured. I urgently need this resolved. The runaround from both local and customer service is frustrating. I truly hope there's a superhero tax pro within H&R Block who can finally unravel this mess.

I have been on hold since 12th March [redacted] at 20:22 for one hour and twenty-five minutes due to errors in H&R Block's online services hindering me from filing my ten-forty forms. After a disconnection, I am now waiting on hold via my home phone. Despite almost one and a half hours on hold, H&R Block is refusing to assist me. Their practice of keeping customers on hold and withholding paid services is concerning. I've faced multiple call disconnections when trying to reach out for support, both from my home phone and two Georgia cell phone numbers. This is my fourth call, starting at 18:48; however, I am still waiting for assistance in obtaining the necessary ten-ninety-nine form for tax filing. Despite promises of a supervisor's help, I have been looped back to customer service multiple times. After waiting for three hours and being denied required services, supervisor assistance, and access to the ten-ninety-nine form to continue filing taxes, the service experience is disappointing.

I have been on the phone for over 2 hours trying to resolve an issue. I have been transferred from one unhelpful person to another, getting disconnected, being put on hold, and feeling frustrated by the lack of assistance. I uploaded my tax information on your website, which someone from Utah used to prepare my taxes incorrectly. There was a significant error in one W2 form where $20,[redacted] was input instead of $2,[redacted], affecting what we owed the government. I am requesting a refund of $[redacted] for the tax preparation service. I believe I should have done my taxes myself instead of paying $[redacted] for an incorrect filing. There is a critical issue in the [redacted] H&R Block Deluxe for Mac that impacts eFiling joint tax returns. In order to successfully eFile, the program requests your prior year's AGI on a specific screen. However, when attempting to file, many users are facing rejections with code FD-32-IND-[redacted]-04 due to discrepancies in the spouse's AGI. The software fails to provide a field for entering your spouse's AGI, preventing joint returns from being eFiled. The chat support feature was unresponsive, and attempts to resolve the issue with customer support were fruitless. The problem has been escalated, with an expected call within 5 business days. It remains uncertain if an upcoming update on 18 March will address this bug. Many users, particularly joint filers using Mac, are unable to utilize the promised electronic filing benefits. To rectify this, H&R Block must correct the software to interact accurately with the IRS, issuing an update by 01 Apr [redacted] to resolve this critical flaw. They should commit to thorough IRS testing before future releases to avoid similar issues.

I received my IRS refund on 02/24/[redacted], and it was deposited into my bank account after tax preparation fees were deducted. The refund amount exceeded $15,[redacted], leading to it being rejected. H&R Block then sent a check to the wrong address due to an error by the tax preparer, causing a delay. After contacting the tax place where I filed my taxes, the address was corrected, and a refund for the preparation fees was requested. Despite the promised 7-10 day delivery time for the check, it is now March 16, and it has not arrived. I was also given an Emerald Card, which could have expedited the process. This situation has caused significant financial hardship as I am now behind on rent, received a five-day notice with late fees, and fell behind on car payments and utilities. I initially chose H&R Block for their professionalism, but this experience has been extremely disappointing. If the issue is not resolved promptly, I may have to seek legal assistance and pursue legal action to recover from the financial distress caused by this delay.

I have not received any confirmation email in my inbox or spam folder to download and activate the Deluxe + State software I bought. This may be due to an incident where my cats knocked down my network router, causing it to unplug right after I made the purchase. I have been waiting for almost a week for the email so I can start preparing my tax return for this year. It feels like a long wait considering the purchase is already reflected on my credit card statement. On March 15, [redacted], I visited the H&R Block Tax Office located at [redacted] N Wellwood Ave, Lindenhurst, NY [redacted] seeking assistance from a Tax Pro. I explained my situation about inheriting a portfolio account from TD Ameritrade after my mother's passing and my unfamiliarity with reporting stock dividends on my tax returns, as I usually file paper returns with the IRS. Unfortunately, the receptionist and the so-called "Experienced Tax Pros" were disrespectful, making jokes at my expense and refusing to provide assistance. Despite my request to speak with the owner to address the issue, I was met with unprofessional behavior and lack of cooperation. I experienced a significant issue at the Wareham MA office. Last year, my taxes were completed incorrectly, but after receiving my refund, the issue was resolved. This year, I returned, and again there was a problem. I dropped off my documents on 3/4 and did not receive any updates. When I called on 3/16, I spoke to the manager, Michelle, who was quite rude. She mentioned that my taxes were done and I could come in to pay without giving me any other information. When I inquired about the completion date, she said it was 7 days ago, which I found unacceptable. I requested to speak to her supervisor, but she claimed to be the manager. I later went to the office to retrieve my paperwork but was asked to pay $[redacted], which I refused as I just wanted my documents. On March 14th, I lodged a complaint against Accounting Resources in Colorado Springs, CO after they incorrectly entered a bank account number, causing us to not receive our refund. Upon realizing the error on March 11th, no funds have been received as of March 21st. Additionally, they failed to submit our State return promptly, almost missing the deadline until we contacted them. Despite our request for compensation, the agent declined. Currently residing in Russia, we face an urgent situation as Western Union is ceasing operations by March 23. We urge the agent to transfer $[redacted] from the Federal refund and $[redacted] from the State refund to our bank account for timely retrieval before WU closure. We commit to repayment upon receiving our refunds. Due to the time difference, we can only call between 8 am - 11 am your time, as we are 10 hours ahead. I bought the H&R Deluxe + State software online and the charge went through on my credit card. However, I haven't received any emails with confirmation or download details. I checked my spam and trash folders too. The purchase was made on March 7 and I tried calling H&R Block's customer service line but was on hold for over an hour without any response. It seems my HR Block account wasn't fully verified when I made the purchase. I completed the identity verification after buying the software, but still haven't received any email regarding the product.

I am extremely dissatisfied with H&R Block software and its customer service. After purchasing the program, I discovered it provides inaccurate refund amounts that keep changing unexpectedly. Additionally, when buying the state program, it loaded the wrong one, necessitating an additional purchase of the correct version. Trying to contact customer service has been frustrating as I have been stuck in a loop for three days. Each time I call, I am put on hold for over three hours with no resolution. The automated system disconnects if you attempt to navigate the options. I have spent over $[redacted] attempting to prepare and file my taxes, only to find the refund figures are still incorrect. If this issue gets resolved, there will be an extra $19.95 filing fee.

Since last Thursday, I've been attempting to file my taxes using the MyBlock app. Despite uploading all required documents, my tax professional informed me on Friday that the return couldn't be processed due to an issue with verifying my identity for the refund transfer. After creating a new account, my tax professional had me try again on Tuesday, but once more, the app failed to verify my identity for the transfer and prompted me to contact support. Unfortunately, my tax professional was unable to resolve this problem, causing delays in filing my taxes. Despite my persistent efforts to communicate the issue, the lack of assistance and manners from my tax professional is disheartening. The app's malfunctioning and the employees' lack of expertise have created unnecessary obstacles in completing the filing process. I hope for a resolution soon to this ongoing frustration and inconvenience.
