I am extremely disappointed with the customer service provided by Block. My case, number [redacted], has been open for almost a year without a single response. Despite numerous attempts to contact them by phone, each call ended in disconnection after a lengthy hold, preventing me from reaching the appropriate support level. This happened again today, wasting an hour of my time. In an email dated March 4, [redacted], I was informed that my case was being escalated for immediate attention, yet I never received any further communication from Block. At this point, I would appreciate a complimentary download of the [redacted] Deluxe + State software for MAC, rather than a refund. The lack of follow-up and support from Block is unacceptable.

I utilized the online tax filing tool and opted to have my taxes verified by a tax advisor. The advisor reviewed the completed taxes swiftly, but upon receiving them, the amounts seemed incorrect. Despite my inquiry about the accuracy, the advisor assured me they were correct, so I approved them. Upon reviewing my [redacted] taxes and messages from a previous H&R Block advisor, it became clear that my current advisor overlooked significant details. I shared the previous advisor's calculations with my current advisor, who acknowledged the mistake and asked for my home of record. Being in the military with my home of record in Missouri but residing in Maryland with a working wife and 2 children, these crucial details were missed. Unfortunately, the submitted taxes cannot be retrieved for correction. I would prefer a different advisor to rectify the errors, but if that's not feasible, I would request a full refund.

I am extremely frustrated with H&R Block's services. Last July, I provided all my tax information to the preparer with clear instructions to file my taxes, only to discover last fall that they were never filed. After following up and finally being prompted to approve the return, pay the fees, and settle my taxes, I find out that H&R Block has no record of my payment or filing. When I reached out for clarification and sent electronic receipts, the preparer, Thuy Vu, claims she couldn't access my emails despite me sending them to both email addresses provided. To top it off, when I insisted on resolving the matter promptly and voiced my refusal to pay twice, Thuy Vu hung up on me, suggesting I seek a refund. I have lost confidence in H&R Block's ability to handle my taxes efficiently or provide the necessary customer support. Being hung up on was disrespectful and unprofessional.

I e-filed my H&R Block Deluxe tax return on 2-05-[redacted], and the status is currently "pending." I have also received both stimulus checks of $[redacted] each. However, the program deducted $[redacted] from my expected refund, which included the stimulus checks. I have more medical expenses this year and was expecting a decent refund. I am concerned about why the stimulus money was taken out of my refund. I am unsure if this is a software issue causing a delay in the IRS accepting my return. I verified all information with your software check before submitting my return yesterday. Normally, using H&R Block software does not take this long for the IRS to accept. I tried contacting customer service at 1-[redacted] but was disconnected after waiting for 40 minutes. Please assist me promptly as I rely on your support. I cannot rectify this on my own since your program deducted the stimulus amounts automatically. I will continue to monitor the status updates on the H&R Block page. I was advised that my refund should not have the stimulus money deducted from it. Your prompt attention to this matter is greatly appreciated.

I used your software to complete my taxes, and everything is ready to efile. However, when I tried to submit them, I received an error message stating, "we are having trouble making a connection from your software to our server." I ensured that my computer was directly connected to the router with a strong and fast connection. Despite multiple attempts on the same and a different computer, the issue persisted. I then installed the software on another computer, imported my returns, paid the state efile fee, and attempted to submit again, only to encounter the same error message. This has been a frustrating experience as I have been using your software for the past 15 years without any issues. I purchased it through Amazon and downloaded it. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I am having trouble reinstalling my HR Block Tax software from [redacted] or [redacted]. Although I have the Activation Code, Unlock Code, and CD, the installation process hangs up on the Activation step and the software does not allow manual code entry. In previous years, I found it beneficial to compare my current tax entries with the previous year's data, as I own multiple foreign IBC's and a US Business. This is the main reason I use HR Block Tax software. If I cannot reinstall last year's software, I won't be able to compare my entries, which would make the tax-filing process more difficult. I also urge the company to reconsider not mailing out CDs, especially for users in areas with limited internet connectivity. Additionally, a 24 x 7 customer support would be appreciated, as I offer the same to my customers. Please email me the solution for installing last year's software promptly. Thank you. - J.Z.

When checking the IRS website's "Get My Payment" tool, it indicates either insufficient information or ineligibility. Despite meeting all the requirements, we believe we are eligible for the funds. I recently bought H&R Block Pro and State using the email address [redacted] Initially, I was able to reach the enter information page, but the next day when I attempted to start my tax return, the application kept closing. Despite trying to contact H&R Block support for two days, their phone system was malfunctioning. When I finally got through to a technician, they were unable to resolve the issue and referred me back to the queue. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get the necessary support, and as the program is non-functional, I would like to request a refund for my purchase.

I have used H&R Block's online program for years and am familiar with it. However, this year in [redacted], I am unable to change my tax exempt income on my NJ state return. I have had Fidelity NJ tax exempt interest income for years and understand how it should work. Last year in [redacted], the H&R Block Plus program allowed me to manually enter my [redacted]-DIV numbers on my federal return and adjust my NJ return accordingly. This year, using the Deluxe program, I am unable to modify my taxable income. Despite contacting customer support multiple times, the issue remains unresolved. Unless this is fixed, I may need to seek an alternative company for my tax preparation. - Stewart B.

I dedicated 4 hours to resolving an error message on the [redacted]-INT income form about non-allowable characters. Despite reworking the report multiple times, I couldn't correct it. Initially, the first Help line agent was clueless, keeping me on hold for an hour before mysteriously disconnecting me. Upon recalling, the subsequent representative couldn't assist and transferred me to Technical Support, leading to dead silence after a single ring. H&R Block's Help line proved unhelpful. Though a long-time user with no prior problems, this frustrating interaction has led me to consider ending my relationship with their products.

I have been a H&R Block customer for several years. Last year in [redacted], I used the H&R Block Plus program for $29.99, and it worked well for both my Federal and New Jersey taxes. This year, in [redacted], I noticed that the Schedule B is no longer included in the Plus program, and I am being asked to pay $59.98 for the Deluxe program. My financial situation has not changed since [redacted] as I am retired and have the same sources of income like Social Security, Retirement, Interest, and Dividends. There have been no sales or property dispositions, and my income has actually decreased in [redacted]. If I cannot receive the same deal I had last year for $29.99, I may have to explore other options for my tax return this year.

I recently purchased the deluxe state and federal edition twice today. Despite being informed that I would receive an email to download the software, I have not received any emails after both purchases. I reached out to the toll-free helpline for assistance but have been on hold for nearly an hour and 45 minutes. My patience is running thin. I have been a loyal customer for many years and would prefer a return to using CDs for your software. If necessary, my social security number is [redacted]-36-[redacted] for identification purposes. The customer service representative who initially spoke with me requested this information but was unable to assist and put me back on hold. I recently bought your Deluxe Software online and downloaded it to my computer. I encountered a problem when trying to purchase the Tax package through the software as I kept getting a Forbidden error code on the payment screen. To work around this, I went online and purchased the state package separately, which installed without any issues. However, I am now unable to efile the return due to the same error code appearing during payment verification. I suspect the issue lies between your server using IE and my system running Microsoft Edge. I urgently need a workaround to file my return. Despite spending numerous hours on hold with tech support and speaking to two agents who disconnected our calls, I am extremely frustrated. I'm seeking assistance to resolve this issue promptly as I am close to resorting to legal action. Thank you for your help.

I visited your website to use the free file option but encountered a lot of confusion with the software. After going through the process, I ended up being charged $[redacted].98 for the Deluxe Federal, Deluxe State, and refund transfer fees. I am disappointed because this was supposed to be a free filing. H&R Block is being investigated for making their free file option hard to find on Google, which is misleading. I tried calling twice and got put on hold both times before being disconnected after a two-minute wait. I am hoping for a call back regarding this issue with your software at [redacted]. I believe I should not owe this amount, and I expect a refund of $[redacted].98 as I was supposed to have a free filing.

I recently created an H&R account to file my taxes. When I accessed the Military OneSource account and selected the Miltax software for the military, I was directed back to my H&R account, which is showing a charge of $[redacted] for tax preparation fees. I am aware that the military site offers free federal and up to three state tax returns. After experiencing long wait times, being hung up on, and spending over two and a half hours on hold with customer service, I am frustrated. I simply want clarification on why I am being charged when the military site states it should be free. I'm unsure if I made an error or if there is an issue with the system. The prolonged hold times and being disconnected twice have added to my frustration.

I am experiencing technical difficulties with the [redacted] Business software. Upon trying to transfer last year's tax return, I encountered an error message regarding rollover access. When attempting to open the [redacted] and [redacted] returns, they are not showing up despite being e-filed. Despite spending over 2 hours on hold, I was disconnected when trying to get assistance from an agent who did not follow up. When attempting to contact them again, I faced another long wait time and was prompted to pay for a solution via chat. If this issue is not promptly resolved, I request a refund and will seek an alternative software for my tax filing needs.

On February 12, [redacted], I received an email notification from the IRS informing me that my filing was rejected due to incorrect AGI. After logging into the H&R Block website and discovering the issue, I corrected it and resubmitted. Shortly after, I received another email stating that someone else had used my SSN for another tax return, causing concern. On the same day, I contacted H&R Block's phone number at 7:05pm and after an hour and 38 minutes of waiting, finally spoke to a representative. Unfortunately, after several minutes of explaining the situation, I was informed that they couldn't assist and was transferred, but no one picked up after hours on hold. The next day, February 13, [redacted], I called again, waiting for over an hour before someone answered but didn't speak. Background noise and a possible child's voice were heard for about 5 minutes until I hung up. After another approximately 50 minutes, I spoke to someone who said they would look into it but then transferred me and the call was disconnected due to high call volume. Seeking urgent assistance.

I have been on hold trying to talk to someone for over 45 minutes once and 20 minutes another time. I missed a phone call from my sister because of this. The 45-minute call just hung up on me at 46.13 minutes. I've also tried to access your online chat. I am attempting to remove the Tax Pro Review Add-On for $19.99 from my online tax preparation charges. I have also been trying to do a workshop during this time as I am a teacher. I would really like the Tax Pro Review Add-On removed as I do not wish to keep it. I wanted to finish filing my taxes this morning, but after wasting over an hour of time, planned to be in a workshop during, waiting for over 35 minutes for you to answer a call - only to be hung up on, calling twice, and attempting to connect with the online chat numerous times, I see that your product has many issues. Please do not tell me you are busy. This experience is a failure in many ways.
