Last year, my tax preparer at HR Block made a $[redacted] mistake, resulting in fines. Despite not having their guarantee plan, they only agreed to cover the $21 fine. I requested a refund or a complimentary visit for this year's taxes due to their rookie error in my straightforward tax filing. When trying to reach out for help upon receiving the mistake from the IRS, no one returned my calls except to inquire about this year's taxes. This is the second time they have erred in preparing my taxes, and as a single mother relying on their service for accuracy, I expect better without additional charges. I am considering escalating this matter to the highest level within HR Block. Unless this issue is addressed, I will discourage others from using their services. I doubt I will even receive a follow-up.

I work as the Debit Card Specialist at Centricity Credit Union. A member, Madilyn B., used H&R Block Tax Software for taxes and faced an issue. Despite a $21.62 payment, she was charged 5 times instead of once. It seems H&R Block pre-authorized her debit card 4 times, then proceeded with those pre-authorizations and forced a completion, resulting in 5 transactions on 2/20/21. The 4 pre-authorizations occurred within seconds of each other, indicating a system error in charging multiple times for a single transaction. Madilyn's debit card digits are [redacted] and [redacted]. Her contact is [redacted] I can provide transaction copies if needed for investigation. Kindly refund Madilyn promptly. Thank you, Dawn L.

I am seeking assistance with resolving an issue on the HRB online tax filing system. The IRS accepted my return, but there seems to be an error with the programming as it did not import last year's Schedule D loss-carryover to this year's Schedule D. It appears that the [redacted] Schedule D worksheet was used instead of the [redacted] version, filed on 1/31/[redacted]. I require the "File Amended Return" feature to be activated, as no dollar impact was created, but an incorrect loss carryover figure is being displayed for [redacted]. I have been a loyal HRB online customer for years, and while the software typically carries over information accurately, this year the worksheet was not completed correctly due to an HRB error. I am in need of technical assistance to address this issue promptly.

We paid to e-file our Federal and State returns and completed the process, only to discover a deduction on our Michigan State return that we do not qualify for. This error prevented us from e-filing the State return we paid for. Despite reviewing our interview responses, we did not indicate that we were eligible for the over 67 Michigan deduction as we are only 66 years old. We are now left with the task of filing our State return on paper due to this computer program error and would like to request a refund for the State e-file amount.

I preordered the Deluxe + State Tax software on 11/03/[redacted] and downloaded it on 11/10/[redacted]. I mistakenly installed it on an external drive, hindering updates. I filed my federal taxes successfully but couldn't file State of NY due to the need for software updates, impossible on an external drive. I uninstalled and reinstalled on the "C" Drive, charged $39.95 again plus tax. Activation codes: initial download Z3A2U-YVJ77, CD VNCEM-43AUJ. Could I have a refund for the extra charge, as I was essentially billed twice for the State software? Thank you, W. Bertini.

I have encountered unauthorized charges on my emerald card issued by H&R Block. There was a $39.90 charge that I did not recognize, along with multiple Amazon Prime bills. Although I ordered movies, I have been repeatedly billed for memberships not associated with my contact information. Additionally, a company named Violetbike took $42 from me and failed to deliver a clipper I ordered over a month ago, which appears suspicious. These charges are not mine, and I am requesting a refund. I tried to order a replacement card on January 4th, but it has not arrived yet. I find it unsettling that someone has accessed my account, considering I do not have my physical card. However, upon receiving a notification about my stimulus deposit, I had to search for the card details to pay my bills.

I am assisting a senior citizen who had their taxes done at H&R Block last year from [redacted] to [redacted]. They paid over $[redacted] for the service but didn't receive detailed information about the outcomes. Despite missing out on stimulus payments and not receiving clear IRS notifications, the H&R Block representative suggested revisiting this year for answers and potentially getting an Emerald card, which was not issued previously. The individual, currently financially strained, seeks help to understand the refund status, the possibility of an Emerald card, and how to address these concerns without the burden of high costs for tax services. I would appreciate guidance on how this person can obtain the necessary information, especially regarding financial matters and the potential assistance of an Emerald card. Any assistance or resources to clarify the tax situation and resolve these ongoing issues would be greatly valued, as we have been struggling to navigate through various channels without success.

I was on hold for two hours yesterday trying to schedule a call for today regarding my TaxPro review of my taxes, which I submitted last Monday. Unfortunately, they have not been reviewed yet, and I cannot reach my tax pro. A colleague at her office informed me she would be available at 2 pm and asked me to call back then. When I did, I was told she was still unavailable and would call me back whenever she could. I am unable to access my taxes, contact my tax pro, or take any action. I am extremely frustrated and nearly in tears. I had expected this to be a three-day process, but it has turned into a stressful situation. Moreover, I am having trouble with the messaging system on the website as well.

I am deeply disappointed with the $80 fee H&R Block is charging me for a brief tax assistance session. Given my disability and the current health risks during the pandemic, meeting in person is exceptionally unsafe. I have encountered challenges finding tax help ever since the forms changed from 1040EZ. Last year, my taxes were filed incorrectly, causing me to miss out on the $[redacted] stimulus payment and my Earned Income Credit of $[redacted]. Despite visiting my local H&R Block on State Road [redacted] in Altamonte Springs, Florida, I have not received the promised follow-up on pricing, which feels like price gouging to me. I intend to report this issue to AARP, organizations for disabled individuals, and the Better Business Bureau. I can be reached at [redacted]. Thank you for your attention to this matter. - Paul Troha

I bought and successfully downloaded the H&R Block [redacted] Deluxe Federal/State online tax package on 2/6/21. Unfortunately, I lost access to my HP Elite desktop hard drive a week later due to a scam. After a technician reformatted the hard drive, I could not reload HRBlock as it showed I had used all six downloads. The help line advised me to check my previous downloads for the program. Now that I have restored the tax software, I am worried about the download limit affecting my ability to use the program for my tax return and other family members'. My activation code is 2FJFM-SCU4Y.

I used HR Block online software to electronically submit my taxes on Feb 3rd, [redacted]. Despite the software showing my taxes as "Pending" and e-file submitted for weeks, I haven't received an IRS confirmation email as I have in past years. The status remains unchanged, and I'm unable to resubmit or make any changes. Checking both Federal and State refund status shows no information on my [redacted] tax return. When reaching out to HR Block via chat, telephone, or local office, I received unhelpful responses. The chat person disconnected, and waiting on the phone only led to being put back in the queue. I suspect my tax return hasn't been submitted to the IRS by HR Block, as I lack confirmation from the IRS.

I still have not received my tax return. I acknowledge the delays this year, but I submitted mine on February 3rd and have not even received an email from H&R Block confirming IRS acceptance. People I know who filed later have all received their returns. When I track my return on H&R Block's website, it shows no information. The IRS website also has no details when I try to track it there. I am concerned about the status of my return and why there has been no communication or confirmation from the IRS at this point.

On Saturday, February 17, [redacted], I purchased H&R Block Deluxe State & Local program along with identity shield protection. I realized after payment that I forgot to apply a coupon code, leading to a charge of $64.94. Quickly rectifying this, I re-purchased with the coupon, resulting in a $54.94 charge. I am seeking a refund for the initial $64.94 payment. The activation code for the charge is VAVX9-D3375, and the unlock code is 89C291DF3F1C. I did not use this program to file my taxes. My name is Frank Z. from Ocean View, DE. For contact, please reach me at [redacted]. Feel free to call or text that number. The last four digits of the card used are [redacted]. Thank you for your understanding.

I recently installed HR Deluxe + State a few days ago and successfully activated it with the code A34T7-9VYV7. Unfortunately, after dealing with other software issues and creating a new profile, I am now unable to launch HR properly. Despite receiving the activation confirmation, when I open launch.exe, I only see an empty screen preventing me from progressing with HR. I purchased the software from Office Depot, opting for the boxed version to avoid such troubles, but all I found inside was a small booklet with the code. Additionally, I'm having trouble transferring my previous year's information like name and address to the new version of HR despite following the instructions on saving. I'm at a loss on how to resolve these issues.

I am encountering difficulties while using HRBlock software to file my taxes. In the past, the program has automatically populated my current return with information from the previous year. However, for the [redacted] tax year, this feature seems to be missing. Additionally, when selecting payees for the [redacted]-R form, the option for OPM is not available, even though this is where my spouse and I have received our main income for the last 15 years. Contacting HRBlock for assistance has proven to be a frustrating experience, as the phone lines are unresponsive, and the Chat help feature is not working properly. Fortunately, I have not paid for the program yet, which is a relief considering the current issues with the software. If I do not receive assistance soon, I may consider switching to TurboTax for filing my taxes this year.

I purchased the H&R Block Premium federal and state program on February 16, [redacted], which included a $5.99 download service fee, totaling $70.94 on my Discover card ending in [redacted]. I have been trying to download the program onto my computer, but after speaking with three different support representatives who all redirected me to higher levels of support, my issue remains unresolved. On February 18th, the third representative escalated my case with reference number [redacted]8, and I was told that an agent would contact me within 48 hours. However, it has been 10 days, and I have not received any follow-up. Thus, I am requesting a refund of the $70.94 purchase price. I have used H&R Block's program for my taxes in previous years without issues, but this year has been exceptionally frustrating and time-consuming due to the download troubles and lack of support assistance. Despite my efforts to resolve the problem, I ended up doing my tax return manually. Given the circumstances, I kindly ask for a full refund of $70.94.

I have been using H&R Block tax software for more than 25 years. I recently downloaded their [redacted] software, but encountered issues with installation. Despite following all the online support instructions, the software still wouldn't install. I attempted to reach the H&R Block customer service helpline, but after being put on hold for an unreasonable amount of time, I had to disconnect the call. I will be disputing the credit card charge with my credit card company as I could not install the software to complete my purchase. Instead, I have ordered tax software from Intuit, H&R Block's competitor. Moving forward, I have decided not to purchase H&R Tax Software again, as they have lost a loyal customer. I hope this reaches the appropriate team at H&R Block. Thank you.

I spent over 5 hours on hold waiting for assistance. I received my tax software in the mail, but there was no CD included as stated on the cover. I ended up purchasing the program again, despite having paid for it in October. I tried to download it twice, but my PC's speed was too slow, resulting in a notification that I exceeded my download limit. After finally speaking to a representative named Denise, who determined I had already bought the product and refunded my money, it was discovered that I needed a CD to complete the download. Although CDs were not sold separately, I was advised to purchase the program with the CD included and reference case #[redacted]6 for a refund on the duplicate purchase. Despite encountering issues with non-working phone numbers and being disconnected, I hope this situation can be resolved quickly. I request a full refund for my latest purchase, a refreshed download of my original purchase, and I plan to complete the process at my daughter's house with faster WiFi to avoid further delays. Waiting on the phone for over an hour, receiving unhelpful support, and being put back in the queue reflects poorly on your company's ethics. - Paul D.

I recently purchased the H&R Block [redacted] Tax Year Software/Deluxe+State from Walmart. Over the years, I have always used H&R Block's CD version without any issues. After following the online download instructions and entering the Activation Code 7TCKVFPDMX, the software was accepted, but the Launcher.exe file does not open on my HP desktop or Dell laptop, both running Windows 10. This is a new problem for me as I've never encountered issues with the CD versions before. I have attempted to reach customer service without success. If this problem persists, I may need a refund and consider switching to TurboTax. Thank you for your prompt assistance in resolving this matter.

1. I purchased software online and downloaded it to my computer, but it was defective, halting my progress after just a few screens. After uninstalling it, I couldn't find a way to reinstall using the same activation code. I would like to download a working version of Deluxe software. 2. When attempting to create an account, I realized I had done so in [redacted] but forgot my password. After requesting a new password and trying to log in, I received a "account locked for security" message. I need help accessing my account. 3. My computer crashed last year, and my technician recovered my data, including tax information, which I can't access without the software. Despite trying to reinstall it from CDs, I was unsuccessful. I need to retrieve my old tax information. 4. I've spent two days trying to reach customer service, waiting on hold for over an hour twice, only to have my calls dropped without speaking to anyone. The helpline needs improvement to provide genuine assistance. I'm starting to question if real workers handle calls or if it's entirely automated. After being a customer for over a decade, I might consider trying TurboTax.
