My experience at H&R Block has been frustrating. Initially, I appreciated having the peace of mind protection, but this year's visit left me shocked. Despite only having one W2 and a student loan form showing $10 in interest, the total bill exceeded $[redacted] due to the student loan entry. The preparer couldn't explain the high cost and pressured me for payment. Attempts to seek clarification from the regional manager were met with delays, miscommunications, and an incorrect refund promise. Even after requesting not to be contacted by the store, they persisted until I answered, showing little understanding of my concerns. All I want is a refund and to avoid further services from the same branch.

I am wondering if H&R Block offers a service for filing federal tax returns for deceased individuals. If this service is available, I have a suggestion to further enhance it by including the execution of the decedent's final instructions. This could involve notifying various entities like Social Security, pension plans, financial institutions, charities, and credit card companies. A fixed rate based on the number of contacts made could be charged, and a detailed report of all actions could be provided to the estate executor. I have found it challenging to ask for help from family, friends, lawyers, accountants, or financial advisors to handle these notifications, hence my suggestion. I am open to discussing this concept further. Thank you for considering my feedback.

I attempted to sign up for a service to have my [redacted] tax return prepared for free. However, during the process, I paid for the [redacted] tax return service. When the tax expert informed me that I didn't get what I paid for, I requested a refund. The tax expert stated that issuing a refund was not his responsibility. Can someone please assist me with this issue? Order Details: Date: June 1 Time: 6:32am Order Number: HRB-[redacted]36 Service: Online Tax Preparation [redacted] – Standard Subtotal: $99.99 Tax: $12.00 Total: $[redacted].99 Thank you for your help.

When accessing the 'Your Filing Options' page, I encounter an issue after clicking the 'e-file' button. A message appears stating: "Unable To Connect." The notification suggests checking the internet connection and reviewing security or proxy settings. It mentions that server maintenance may be ongoing post-tax season. Clicking on the troubleshooting link leads to a 'Help Central' window, which is empty. My internet connection works fine for browsing and email, and updating the H&R Block software has not presented any connectivity problems. Despite multiple attempts, the error persists when proceeding to the next step.

On July 11, [redacted], I tried to download the PA state software and paid using my VISA credit card. Unfortunately, the download was unsuccessful despite the payment. I was charged $42.60 for the unsuccessful download. I tried a second time and this attempt was successful. However, I noticed that two charges of $42.60 appeared on my VISA card for only one successful download. I have been attempting to reach H&R Block's customer service since July 13, [redacted], but it's been challenging to speak with a representative. As a long-time loyal customer, this experience has been frustrating and makes me uncertain about using your software in the future. I would appreciate a resolution to this issue and a refund of $42.60. The software reference keys provided are AQKX-YJLN and HNLE-4WML. My name is Edward Doherty.

I was employed at the beginning of the year in Rhode Island, then I became unemployed. In June [redacted], I started working in Connecticut while still being a resident of Rhode Island. I have one W-2 from Rhode Island and two from Connecticut. Every time I enter them, my salary doubles and so do my taxes owed. I am unsure how to obtain a refund from one state while having to pay in another. Since I worked mostly in Connecticut throughout the year, the majority of my income was earned there. I attempted to file in July and submitted this question through your website, but unfortunately did not receive a response. I would greatly appreciate your guidance on how to correctly address this situation using your website. Thank you in advance for your help.

I used your tax filing service for our [redacted] taxes. Colorado sent a notice about an adjustment of approximately $[redacted] because the non-residency form 104PN was missing. I recall answering the non-residency questions on your platform. It seems the form was not filed. Additionally, I noticed the basis for our sold rental home was incorrect, showing the purchase price instead of the total remodeling amount. My user ID is gaildontax, linked to my email at [redacted] For inquiries, you can reach me at [redacted] or via email. Thanks, Don Weber.

I filed a fraud claim in August due to unauthorized charges from California and Las Vegas. After having $[redacted] left on my card, I was unable to use it until the new card arrived, which never did. Upon checking online, it showed the funds were refunded, but the missing card was used for fraudulent purchases after being stolen from the mailbox. I promptly reported this once I discovered it. I have received the new chip card but with only $1.23 remaining. To my dismay, my claim was denied, resulting in a loss of about $[redacted] of my earnings. I feel frustrated as my hard-earned money is gone while someone else benefits from it. Can someone assist me with this issue? My name is S. Martinez.

We utilized H&R Block software to e-file our [redacted] state and federal taxes on July 15, [redacted]. As required, we made payments via credit card for both. After confirming the tax details, I entered my credit card information and submitted the returns. Despite waiting weeks for the payment to process, it never appeared in my account. Upon contacting the state revenue department and IRS, both revealed no record of receiving my payment. As a result, I had to cover additional fees and penalties. I am puzzled why the payment was not transmitted correctly and now seek a refund for these unexpected expenses.

Cease Advertising on "The View" I am greatly disturbed by companies supporting "The View" with their advertising dollars. The hosts consistently promote a leftist agenda and have a history of making offensive remarks towards Christians. The show's hosts, including Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Meghan McCain, have been known to attack conservatives and make derogatory comments about Christians. Their disrespectful behavior and biased views make it unsuitable for advertising. Joy Behar and Sonny Hostin have made particularly offensive remarks about Christianity, with Behar even equating Christians to the Taliban. The show has also falsely accused President Trump of dangerous behaviors and stirred up unnecessary fears with their reporting. I have chosen to boycott companies that support this type of harmful programming through their advertising. It is important to uphold family values and not contribute to platforms that promote division and disrespect. Sincerely, Mark

Hosted by Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Meghan McCain, "The View" airs weekdays at 11:00 AM Eastern on ABC. The hosts of "The View" have been criticized for promoting a leftist agenda and making disparaging remarks about conservatives. In particular, Joy Behar and Sonny Hostin made offensive comments about Christianity in February [redacted], calling it "dangerous" and a "mental illness." Joy Behar has also compared Christians to the Taliban in the past. The show has drawn criticism for its biased statements and support for controversial figures like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Michael Avenatti. Some viewers are upset that companies advertise on a program they feel promotes hateful opinions, and are considering taking action against advertisers.

Hello, my name is Deborah Kelley. I visited H & R Block on 82nd in Portland, Oregon, and spoke with Michael regarding my tax filing. However, I left feeling dissatisfied and offended. I asked several questions and felt dismissed by his response that he was a professional. I felt discriminated against as a woman and with a master's degree, I desired more detailed explanations. I also encountered issues with the website he recommended, unable to verify my information. I tried to contact the office on Friday without success; they are closed until Tuesday. I lack documentation of the services provided and multiple emails requesting personal information have caused me concern. I now wish to cancel all services as I do not feel valued as a customer. A remark made by your agent was also highly inappropriate. This has been an extremely negative experience for me.

I bought H&R Block Premium & Business Tax Software from Office Depot for the years [redacted] and [redacted]. I never used the "Business" program until yesterday, 10/12/20, to work on my Corporate Return for those years. Unfortunately, the Business Programs won't open despite several attempts to uninstall and reinstall using the CD. The "Individual" program works fine. Online access requires an additional purchase of about $90 per year. My activation codes are [redacted] for [redacted] and [redacted] for [redacted]. I need assistance with activating the Business Programs or replacements CDs for both years. Alternatively, a refund for both products would be appreciated. Thank you for your prompt help. C. B. I pre-ordered the [redacted] software from H&R Block after receiving an email offer. Payment was made using a prepaid debit card, with the understanding that the card would be charged when the software is available in November. The issue is, the card expires on 10/31, rendering it invalid in November. As the payment is pending, I am unable to use the card for other purchases before it expires. I need to either update the payment method or cancel and re-order with a valid form of payment. Despite attempting to resolve this via chat, I was promised a callback within 48 hours from a higher-level representative, which has not occurred. A prompt resolution would be greatly appreciated.

I accidentally ordered H&R Block online software today and I need to cancel the order and receive a refund. I've been a loyal user of H&R Block software on disc for many years and prefer not to download it online. I would like to request a prompt refund and cancellation of my morning order on 10/30/[redacted]. I need the software on disc, not as an online download. I have faced challenges with customer service over the phone today as I was shuffled between four different agents for over half an hour only to be told I would be transferred to a fifth person in another 15 minutes. I am dissatisfied with the service I have received from H&R Block thus far. Could someone please assist me and send an email confirming the cancellation? Thank you, D.R. I'm William D. Thomas Jr. and I submitted an online application for the tax programs at H&R Block. After filling out the order form, I didn't receive the expected receipt. The purchase was made a day before the $20 discount offer expired. The payment was completed with a Discover card for the Deluxe Federal & State program. I'm unsure if my order was received correctly. You can reach me at [redacted]. My address is P.O. Box 95, Ferriday, LA [redacted].

As a long-time truck driver who has utilized your services at the Brainerd MN location, I recently encountered some issues with my tax filing. After my regular tax preparer left, I followed a recommendation to a new preparer in [redacted]. Despite providing necessary information and a spreadsheet related to the Trust, the preparer mentioned I might not need to file. However, my lawyer disagrees and believes I must file. Attempts to clarify this matter with the Brainerd office via email and phone calls have been unsuccessful. Currently, I am working with a partner at the law firm since my lawyer is no longer available. It is crucial for me to resolve this situation promptly, dissolve the Trust, and proceed with handling the real estate matters. I appreciate any assistance you can offer. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Dear Customer Service, I am reaching out regarding my recent experience with pre-ordering the [redacted] Deluxe Federal software on your website. On 10/30/[redacted], I was attracted by the special price of $14.95, but during the order process, I encountered some issues. Despite attempting to order the software at the special price, I ended up being charged $34.95 after multiple tries. Only later was I able to successfully place an order at the advertised $14.95 price. Upon receiving two different download codes via email now, I am concerned about the refund process. During my initial contact with your agent, I was assured that a refund of $34.95 could be arranged directly with H&R Block instead of going through a credit card dispute. However, I was surprised to see the "All sales final. No refunds or exchanges on purchases" message only on my receipt, not in any of the emails I received from your company. I kindly request your assistance in resolving this matter promptly. Warm regards, Cynthia L. C.

In [redacted], my husband and I filed taxes jointly. However, in [redacted], following our separation in [redacted] while not yet divorced due to my pregnancy, we filed separately. I claimed head of household, including our son, while my husband filed as single. In [redacted], we decided to reconcile for the sake of our children and filed jointly again. Now, my financial aid is on hold until I can provide documentation that we filed correctly during our period of separation. Despite contacting the local H&R Block in El Paso, Tx, I've faced difficulties as they repeatedly hang up on me or leave me waiting on hold for extended periods. All I require is a form confirming our proper filing status, acknowledging our separation and subsequent reconciliation leading to joint filing as we now live together as a family.

I encountered difficulties receiving assistance on the website, leading me to contact H&R Block. Unfortunately, I only reached an automated system. After explaining my issue to multiple representatives over a frustrating 2 1/2-hour phone call, my H&R Block Emerald card was finally activated. The customer service experience was disappointing, with representatives repeatedly transferring me without resolving the situation promptly. Despite the initial challenges, the H&R Block main office eventually rectified the issue.
