Hello H&R Block, I am writing to bring to your attention an issue I encountered during my recent visit to the Marinette WI, [redacted] office. The office environment was quite unprofessional, reminiscent of a chaotic situation. I observed older staff members not engaged in their work, while a younger employee appeared visibly upset and sought assistance. Unfortunately, the response from the older staff member was harsh and disrespectful towards the younger colleague. Such conduct does not align with the standards I expect when visiting a reputable company for tax services. It would be beneficial for the senior staff to exemplify leadership qualities and serve as positive role models for their junior counterparts, fostering a supportive environment for professional growth. Regrettably, due to this experience, I am hesitant to return in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I am attempting to fill out a [redacted] or 1040ez form, but despite not being self-employed, every time I try to file, it insists that I am. In [redacted], I earned some money after helping my best friend who was in a car accident while on vacation. Although I am not self-employed, the IRS demands $[redacted] if I file that way, but if I file accurately, I am owed $[redacted]. How should I proceed to report this income considering I am on SS disability, have never filed before, and am not self-employed? I am becoming increasingly frustrated as every tax software I try categorizes me as self-employed or under some unfamiliar classification like an Uber driver. All I know for certain is I am not self-employed.

I attempted to file my taxes online with H&R Block, but it got rejected. I decided to visit an H&R Block office instead. Unfortunately, it was chaotic right from the beginning. Prices were not discussed with me, I was wrongly told about a $40 filing fee, and there were communication issues. Despite being promised a call back and an appointment, there were delays and mistakes. I had to physically return to sign my taxes, which resulted in a rejection. This has been frustrating and time-consuming, jeopardizing my ability to qualify for a stimulus payment. I feel let down by the lack of professionalism and communication at H&R Block, causing unnecessary delays and potential financial loss. I simply want them to listen, do their job correctly, and assist me in getting my taxes filed promptly.

Following extensive wait times and numerous transfers, I demonstrated to H&R Block through emailed screen captures the software error related to W-2 tax returns using form [redacted] for healthcare. Initially, they requested my receipt and mailing address for the refund process via email. Subsequently, a representative called asking for my social security number. Upon my follow-up email inquiring about the refund status, they requested my date of birth. These actions appear suspicious and potentially indicate an attempt at identity theft. The continuous requests seem designed to exhaust me rather than acknowledge their mistake and promptly issue a refund. It has now been a month without the refund, and my latest email has gone unanswered.

I recently bought the [redacted] H&R Block Homeowners/Investors Deluxe + State Tax software at Walmart in Chicago. My activation code is AMLW-4GF. I am ready to file my Federal and State tax return, but I am facing issues printing the forms. Despite rebooting my computer thrice, the printer still shows as not responding. I have successfully printed other documents, but this software is causing printing problems. I have even attempted to print from the top print bar. Is there a defect in the software, and is there an update available to resolve this issue? I am a loyal H&R Block user and have not encountered such problems before. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hello, I am currently using the [redacted] H&R Block Homeowners/Investors Deluxe + State Tax Software. I am encountering an issue with printing the forms after selecting print. Despite multiple reboots of my PC, the forms are not printing out. I have been a long-time user of your software and this problem is a first for me. All other application documents are printing correctly. Is it possible to provide a replacement for the software via download?

I am frustrated with H&R Block because they only put the income tax refund on the Emerald Card to collect their fees, but they can't assist with adding the stimulus money. People waiting for their tax refund on the Emerald Card now have to wait months for a check, which is unfair. I am also having issues tracking my amended tax return because the amount I received doesn't match what I was supposed to get. When I try to track it, the information is not available. I am so angry that I am considering switching to TurboTax. My sister receives her refund faster with them and doesn't have to deal with the Emerald Card. It's disappointing that the IRS and H&R Block couldn't load the stimulus money onto the Emerald Card. My family has been struggling financially due to the virus, and not having access to our money is causing us to suffer. I feel betrayed by H&R Block's actions.

I have e-filed my federal and South Carolina tax returns using H&R Block for the past two years. Despite my experience as a retired H&R Block employee with over 25 years of experience, I have encountered issues with the South Carolina Department of Revenue requesting copies of my [redacted] forms to verify the withholding amounts. This has caused delays in receiving my state refund, despite my Federal return being processed promptly. I am frustrated by this glitch in the software, as it has happened two years in a row. I am now required to contact the SCDOR, gather the necessary documentation, and mail it to Columbia to proceed with my return. Given this recurring issue, I am questioning the benefit of using H&R Block's services over manually filing. I am disappointed and would appreciate a refund of the fees for the state return due to these repeated errors. Additionally, having access to a free chat session for assistance would be beneficial for addressing such issues in the future. Thank you. Sharon F.

I need to file a complaint about the service provided by H&R Block. The tax preparer, Stephanie T., made errors in my taxes. Despite my part-year residency in New York while living in Connecticut (after moving from Massachusetts), she incorrectly stated that I was not eligible for a tax credit, resulting in a $3,[redacted] debt to Connecticut. When I questioned her, she rudely dismissed my concerns with unprofessional remarks. Now, the local office is struggling to rectify the situation, and I have spent over five hours trying to resolve this issue. I am frustrated as I may have to pay hundreds of dollars for this subpar service.

I am experiencing difficulties e-filing due to an update issue. The HRB19 software, as of April 10, [redacted], still displays "the next update expected January 3, [redacted]." Despite running the "update now" process, where it seems to download a file, the software closes, updates, and reloads the last saved tax data file. However, the e-file tab remains inaccessible. I have been using HRB since the Taxcut days without this problem. Currently, I am operating on a Windows 10 Pro desktop with sufficient disk space and 16GB of RAM.

I filed my taxes in February, and they were accepted, but I received a 5071C letter around March 11. I've been trying to follow the instructions online, but I'm unable to provide a credit card as requested since I only have a debit card. The IRS is also asking for my student loan account number, which seems to be causing issues despite verifying it with Great Lakes. I'm anxious about not receiving my tax refund and stimulus payment given my current situation as a single mom with two kids. The tax professional who helped me initially is unresponsive, so I'm feeling a bit stranded. I'm at my mom's place now, so please contact me through her email, and you can reach me on my cellphone at [redacted].

Hello, my name is Anthony Albert. I previously contacted your customer service regarding a transaction, but unfortunately, the assistance provided was not satisfactory. The long wait times have made it challenging for me to resolve this issue from home. As a frontline healthcare worker currently on unemployment, the ongoing situation with Covid-19 has made it difficult to reach a representative for help. I was charged $56.50 by the Expocenter in Portland on my card ending in [redacted]. My birthday is on 8/6/91, and my social security number is [redacted]-94-[redacted]. I am facing financial constraints, as the hotel in Portland did not refund me for a reservation I did not use. If you require further information, please contact me at [redacted].

A few years ago, my late father (OBM) left behind a trust in which I serve as one of the two Trustees and a Co-Personal Representative. I have uncovered blatant fraud leading to tax issues with the IRS that need correction. I am considering hiring H&R Block to handle the tax filings but am unsure if I should first report the fraud to the IRS to protect myself before proceeding. The IRS is aware of the tax problem, and I can provide documentation of the fraud. I have been advised by the IRS that obtaining a "transcript" could help identify the responsible parties. Meanwhile, there is a looming tax lien on the Estate. I am located in Miami, Florida, and prefer to discuss this matter through a video conference or telephone call due to health reasons (diabetes, hypertension, and stage 2 kidney disease). Thank you for your assistance.

My tax refund was recently deposited onto my H&R Block Emerald Card, which unfortunately broke a few days ago. I have been attempting to contact their customer service number continuously to request a replacement card or information on obtaining a new card quickly. However, each time I call, an automated message informs me that they are unable to take my call at the moment due to high call volumes, leading to the call being disconnected. As a result, I am unable to use my card for any transactions in stores or at ATMs, and I urgently require access to my funds. I am in immediate need of a replacement card from them without any further delays.

I received my stimulus check on my H&R Block Emerald card, but I can't locate the card. Although I never registered the card on their website, they are now requesting the CVV number. I've tried calling customer support multiple times, but I keep getting disconnected due to high call volumes. I have two main concerns: Firstly, the difficulty in contacting customer service and uncertainty regarding when I'll be able to reach them. Secondly, if I report the card as lost, I'm unsure about what happens to the funds. Will they return to the IRS or be transferred to a new card they issue?

To whom it may concern, I encountered an issue with your online tax filing service. Despite not receiving a [redacted]-C for a car donation under $[redacted], I was unable to e-file as your system required it. When attempting to print a manual copy, the service only provided a non-mailable version marked with a "Do Not File" watermark. Even though I paid for e-filing, the process was incomplete. After trying to contact H&R Block to resolve the problem, the advice received was to omit the car donation. Eventually, I successfully e-filed through another provider without including the unnecessary [redacted]-C. I am requesting a full refund for the tax preparation fees for both State and Federal returns as your service not only prevented me from e-filing but also led to confusion and inconvenience. Sincerely, Lacy A. San Diego, CA

The IRS website shows my stimulus deposit went to my expired Emerald Card. I got a new one from H&R Block but it has a different account number. I can't reach customer service by phone, even after multiple attempts. The balance on my new card is still zero. Will my stimulus transfer to the new account?

My spouse and I filed our taxes jointly and received our refund on an Emerald Card. Unfortunately, my husband passed away on March 13 this year following a difficult situation of abuse that led me to leave. His family has prevented me from accessing my personal belongings, including the card. Despite knowing our Social Security numbers and having filed jointly, I cannot retrieve the last four digits of the card. H&R Block has not been cooperative in helping me cancel the existing card and get a new one. Although his sister claims she no longer has the card, I fear our stimulus payment might still be deposited there. I urgently need assistance in resolving this situation.

I have been trying to reach Emerald Card Services for five consecutive days, calling more than fifty times each day. Unfortunately, no one is picking up, and the calls keep disconnecting. I urgently need a new Emerald card, and it is frustrating that I can't request one online due to their phone system issues. The lack of assistance from both the local H&R Block office and the H&R Block 1-[redacted] number is disappointing. I also did not receive the promised $10 addition to my Emerald card as stated in the email from H&R Block regarding my stimulus payment. The poor customer service experience has left me feeling upset, and I am now reconsidering doing business with H&R Block in the future.

I am experiencing difficulty accessing my tax return through the online portal. Despite entering my name, SSN, and birthdate correctly, the system is failing to verify my identity. After numerous attempts over several days, I am still unable to proceed. Contacting support has been equally challenging. The H&R customer service line has been unresponsive, with long wait times and frequent call disconnections due to high call volume. This is frustrating, especially after paying a substantial fee for tax services. I urgently need access to my tax documents, so I would appreciate prompt assistance in resolving this issue.
