I purchased "H&R Block Homeowners/Investors Deluxe + State Software" a week ago and have been struggling to install it. When using the CD, after entering the activation code, the installation progress halts with a blank green box appearing. I also attempted the download option, but I can't locate the "exe" file. I've disabled Norton antivirus and my firewall, tried the msconfig trick, and used "select startup" without success. I have Windows 10 Home and installed the H&R Block [redacted] program on this computer last year, but I'm having issues with the [redacted] version. I didn't see the "Windows Installer" as mentioned. Can anyone provide guidance on what steps I might be missing?

My father's wallet was stolen, and he is not doing well. We ordered a new Emerald Card almost two weeks ago. Please help fix this for George Randall Durham, born on 1/24/[redacted], with Social Security number [redacted]-23-[redacted]. We need it mailed to 3701A Pauldin Rd due to his health. My disabled child and I are also listed on the card. Thank you for your assistance in ensuring our money is secure. The tax preparer should not have taken advantage of my father's vulnerability. MotionEvent aunts and I need access to our funds.

I used H&R Block's online service to file my taxes. However, I later discovered that my wife had already filed our taxes jointly with another service, and the IRS has accepted them. Though I paid the fee on the H&R Block website using my [redacted] account, I did not proceed with the final e-filing. Therefore, I have not utilized the services. My name is Rafael Estevez, and I am requesting a full refund of the $32 service charge. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

My husband was part-owner of a hunting camp purchased in the 1980s and provided lumber for its renovation from his personal business. The camp members formed a corporation and sold the camp for $30,[redacted]. Each of the 4 members received $7,[redacted]. We received a [redacted]-B that shows the $7,[redacted] in Box 1d without further details. How will this affect our taxes?

I am disappointed with the lack of communication from the office located at [redacted] West Chestnut St, Washington, PA [redacted]. When we called to confirm our appointment, we were not informed that our preparer had retired. Additionally, we were not given the option to choose a new preparer with more experience in tax preparation. It was unsettling to receive a letter informing us about this change after the fact. After being loyal clients of H&R Block for over a decade, this experience does not align with good customer service practices.

I bought the Deluxe and State CD but I'm having trouble activating it. I've followed all the troubleshooting steps you provided, but the disc just keeps clicking for up to five minutes or more. It's recognized by the computer's disc player and starts working, but then it stops and ejects itself. I've already spent around 8 hours trying to get it to work. I need assistance in figuring out what's causing this issue.

I used H&R Block for my [redacted] taxes and was happy, so I decided to use them again this year. However, I've run into issues this time. I live in California but work in different states, currently in Idaho. I traveled back to California to file my taxes at the National City location. My tax preparer, Carla Sanchez, was absent, and I needed my taxes done urgently. The office rescheduled me with another preparer. Upon my return, my tax preparer faced more issues with my taxes, requiring me to come back again. When I eventually got my taxes done, I was charged more than anticipated, with no prior notice. I am very displeased and no longer wish to proceed with H&R Block. I would like guidance on how to proceed regarding my taxes. For communication, please reach out to me via email at [redacted] Looking for a prompt response.

H&R Block deducted almost 50% of my tax refund, citing various fees for my work as an independent contractor. Despite my financial struggle, I was advised by them against reporting necessary deductions like medical expenses, claiming it would incur additional charges. They also refused to provide an advance payment for my bills. Feeling misled and frustrated, I seek assistance on how to include my deductions in the tax return filed by H&R Block. I want to file a complaint and avoid using their services in the future. Thank you, Struggling Single Woman

Dear H&R Block, I am Thi Hoai Dang, a student at Murray State University in Kentucky. I visited the H&R Block office on Chestnut Hills Shop Center and spoke with Mrs. Patsy Stallons, a senior tax specialist. I am currently in Vietnam and have tried to reach out to her via email regarding my tax refund without success. Could you please assist me in contacting the Murray, KY office to inquire about how to reach her or another representative? Thank you for your assistance.

I went to a local H&R Block branch this year due to receiving about $15k in casino winnings. Although I typically file my taxes online, this time I wanted professionals to handle it due to my complicated situation as an active duty military member who was in a combat zone in [redacted] and a full-time student. Before visiting the store, I estimated a refund of over $5k without accounting for the casino winnings. However, upon completion at the store, my refund was nearly $1k less than expected. The preparer seemed unsure throughout the process and even the manager approved the lower amount. I questioned the removal of my 1098t form from my school, which affected my status as a full-time student. Ultimately, I ended up paying $[redacted] for what felt like basic assistance in the tax preparation process. I am concerned about the accuracy of my return, especially after certain information was omitted. I would appreciate it if H&R Block could review my return. My tax service was at the H&R Block in Aviation Square, North Charleston, SC with contact number [redacted]. - Christopher R.

I initially downloaded the GA state tax software, but when I returned to access the forms, the page didn't show the software, leading me to think it wasn't downloaded. Consequently, I re-downloaded it and inputted my credit card information, resulting in a charge. I only require the GA state software, with one state program supposed to be free. However, now when I access the state site, it redirects me to the option to purchase the program without progressing further. My activation code is H7A8-Z243. Furthermore, I made an error on my Federal Return by selecting "overside this entry," which prevents me from e-filing. I am seeking assistance on how to rectify this to enable e-filing.

This is my first time filing as head of household, and I have a 27-year-old sister who lived with me as a full-time student and a 19-year-old sibling who was employed part-time. I supported them by paying rent and bills throughout the year. I am curious about how to claim them on my taxes and if it will impact my return. I have my W-2 forms ready, just waiting on my sister's tax documents from her school.

I have been a loyal customer of H&R Block for 16 years. Despite friends suggesting other options, I have always chosen to use your services. In the past, I have always received the maximum tax refund anticipation loan on my return, except for the first two years. This year, I felt disappointed when I received a significantly smaller loan compared to previous years. I paid over $[redacted] for H&R Block to file my taxes, but only received a $[redacted] tax anticipation refund, despite expecting a $10,[redacted]+ tax refund. Conversely, my girlfriend, who files her own taxes for free and receives a $3,[redacted]+ tax refund, got a $1,[redacted] tax anticipation refund. I could have filed my taxes for free online and received a similar refund without the hefty fee. This unexpected change has left me puzzled, as I have always counted on H&R Block for a reliable service. I am eager to understand the reasoning behind this discrepancy. Thank you, Todd Hornbeck

My state tax returns were repeatedly rejected. Despite contacting your support team multiple times, the issue was not resolved. After being assured that the problem was fixed, it persisted. Following further failure to address the problem, I reached out again, only to be told it was accepted without evidence. The tax office later informed me of a software-related issue. Despite promises to escalate the matter, I never received a follow-up within the given timeframe. Left without assistance, I completed my state taxes independently. Regrettably, I request a refund of $36.99 plus tax for the state tax service I was unable to utilize effectively through your software.

The desktop tax software contains a bug that is preventing me from filing my brother's taxes. Despite multiple conversations with the tax chat support and a tax professional who claimed to have escalated the issue to the software developers, the error persists. I was advised to wait for the February update, which I installed only to encounter the same problem after redoing the taxes. I am now requesting a refund as I am unwilling to wait for the March update. I believe a refund should also cover the cost of purchasing alternative software and the frustration I have experienced dealing with unresponsive chat support. I have remained patient and polite throughout this process, but I have reached my limit.

I visited to file my taxes and was informed I couldn't claim my girlfriend and her children as dependents because we aren't related. This info is incorrect as they could qualify as dependents. The tax preparer at H&R Block told me it wasn't possible due to our relationship, claiming there isn't an option for "girlfriend's kids" under dependents, only niece, nephew, etc. The preparer in Lemoore on Jan. 17, [redacted], didn't e-file my state taxes. Upon following up, I was repeatedly told to wait and call back, with no updates. After contacting someone else, it was revealed that my state e-file wasn't submitted until Feb. 14th or 15th due to an error by Roxanne. I was advised to visit the office, where the mistake was acknowledged, and the issue resolved.

The desktop tax software has a bug preventing me from filing my brother's taxes. Despite speaking to the tax chat team and a professional, the issue persists. I was instructed to wait for a February update, which I did, only to encounter the same error after redoing the taxes. We seek a refund rather than waiting for a March update. I already bought different software out of necessity and faced challenges dealing with unresponsive chat support. I've been patient and courteous throughout this ordeal. I demand a refund based on the difficulty and inconveniences I endured. I've resorted to using another tax software to complete my taxes hassle-free. Despite providing my tax return and W* to your professionals, the software remains flawed. I am adamant about receiving a refund for the unreliable service and flawed software.

On February 19, [redacted], I had a tax appointment at H&R Block on [redacted] N. Broadway in Chicago as a low-income senior. Due to mobility issues, I chose this location, just three blocks away. Arriving early for my 10 a.m. appointment, I was seen promptly, but waited two hours. The tax preparer was pleasant, although I found it excessive to be charged $[redacted] for listing my minimal income sources. Despite my simple taxes, I was made to feel unwelcome due to my financial situation, partially confirmed when my credit card was charged twice. Discovering the duplicate charge online, I am upset by the perceived judgment and overpricing. I hope for a resolution. Thank you. - S.C. Mullens, Chicago, IL [redacted].

I'm Dennis Bourgerie, residing at [redacted] North School Street, Box [redacted], Normal, IL 61[redacted], reachable at [redacted]. I purchased H&R Block Deluxe software for the [redacted] tax year on Feb. 20, [redacted], for $77. The software failed to download properly on our Windows 10 computer. I was provided two activation codes: 8e8rvu5t and putugn96, along with ticket [redacted], but the download did not proceed. Upon attempting to download, an alert indicated the file was contaminated with WIN32:MdeClass and quarantined as HRBlock_Deluxe+State-DL.exe. We have a history of using HR Block products over the years and request a physical disk for installation. Downloading various programs on our computer rarely results in issues and we are seeking assistance as we've invested in the software without successful installation.

I am frustrated that I haven't received my tax refunds yet and had my money taken by child support last year, leaving me with very little. I expect the HR Block team to do their job and provide me with answers promptly. If this issue is not resolved, I will not hesitate to voice my concerns to the IRS. I believe I am owed $5,[redacted].00 from my tax return.
