The issue in GetHuman-npvojtik's own words
I'm using H&R Block Deluxe * Efile * State. I'm filing a federal return and a Wisconsin state return. Everything else is fine, but I'm running into an issue with heath insurance. From January to May of ****, I was covered under my father's marketplace insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois), because he was self-employed. He was hired to a new job and got employer-sponsored health insurance coverage, which also covered me. I was under this cover from June until the end of August. In September, I started a new job myself and was covered by my company's policy. **I am filing as an independent because my AGI is above **** (which the IRS told my mother is the cutoff at which point I cannot be claimed as a dependent). When I go to the Taxes * Health Care Coverage * Type of Coverage section of the interview, I am asked what kinds of coverage I had in ****. I chose "Health insurance through an employer" and "A plan purchased through HealthCare.gov or a state marketplace", because both of these things are true.**On the next page, Premium Tax Credit -- Unique Situations, there is a question that reads "Did anyone in your household share a marketplace policy with someone who is not in your household?" Since I am an independent and I was covered under the policy bought by my father (who is not in my household), I said yes. Now the software asks me to complete Form ****. I'm not sure how to complete this form, and I don't know what to put here since I didn't pay for the insurance myself and my parents are already claiming the insurance on their own tax return. It looks like I need to fill out items **-** and **-** on From ****, but I don't know how to proceed. What should I do here?
