Hello,**I want to express an idea for Grub Hub. As I work in the food and beverage industry, Uber Eats is a pain in the *** to the server that has to take every order. When we are slammed and ** orders at a time come in that we have to take care of, it takes time from us giving the proper attention to the customer that is out to enjoy themselves as well as actually tips us. As I’m sure this company is aware that servers and bartenders do NOT make minimum wage and it is customary to tip at least **% dine in and **% on take out. Not only do we bag the food and take time away from our guests but we also have to prepare items such as soups, salads, drinks and sometimes different apps. This isn’t only for the current restaurant I’m at but for almost every restaurant that servers and bartenders alike work at. Now as we have to help get these items prepared, often we get yelled at by customers for not doing our job to satisfy them. I cannot honestly count how many times I’ve been treated like dirt and missed out on a tip because of to go orders. I’ve had people call and complain to me and yell at me and call me racial slurs because of things I cannot control on the app. I have drivers rude to me because I cannot get them their order right away as they shove their phone in my face, rudely asking for an order as I have a full restaurant and bar. Tipping customers come first and foremost in our eyes. **Now for my point, may I suggest tipping out the person in charge of taking the orders at the restaurant. A gratuity added to the order that the customer has to pay seems fair for us. **If a petition is required for this, I will be glad to get one started and this spread in the service industry.
