Groupon was selling vouchers for time slots that were never available from venue* despite all the evidence Groupon support refused to do anything to make it right. They would not even give me credit with them for future use. No way will I even use them again.

I was trying to get Groupon to refund or credit the $***.** they charged me for a coupon they sold me which is not valid at IFLY ... On July **th. I joined Groupon and purchased a coupon for IFLY in Austin for **:** Sat. July *rd. For a birthday gift. I received an e-mail and voucher from Groupon confirming the purchase . I then purchased a coupon from Groupon for the same venue (IFLY) for Aug. *th. * and again received an e-mail and voucher from Groupon confirming the purchase. * An hour later I called IFLY to confirm that they had reserved the time and dates . They Informed me that they did have proof for the voucher for Aug. *th. but had no trace of the voucher for Aug. *rd. from Groupon. * I checked my bank account and verified that I was charged by Groupon for both purchases. * In good faith so that my daughters birthday was great I purchased another package they Groupon for Aug. *rd at a different time slot and that transaction went thru immediately ( which proves IFLY’s system valid ) . * For the past two weeks via several emails and phone calls to Groupon customer service I been trying to get a refund for the worthless voucher . Even the several emails from Groupon’s management supervisory team insists that the fault is with IFLY. IFLY informs us that Groupon was selling coupons for time slots that were never available* and that I am not the only one affected. * Groupon refuses to do anything and I’m out $***:**. I do believe that i’ve been ripped off and out of luck.
That the confirmation voucher is for a time and date which was never available at IFLY , and is still not valid.* They refuse to acknowledge the error is theirs not the IFLY system.
They could refund the $***:** ** Plan B : a valid voucher for credit from Groupon I could use for other deals?
I am a new customer * this was my first exposure to Groupon. * I paid the money , it is real money and valid anywhere.
I’ve tried everything including visiting IFLY and working with the staff there to resolve e this. They did everything they could and have even checked back with me via phone. Eventually they were able to discover that several costumers have been dealing with this issue as well . It all boils down to the fact that Groupon was selling vouchers for time slots that were never available .
