Orlando Balloon Rides*Order *:************Purchase Date:*Wednesday, Apr **, *****Status:*Expires On Jul **, *****Expires:*Tuesday, Jul **, *****Qty: ***Order Total:*(Visa ending in ****)*$***.*****I purchased a Groupon for a hot air balloon ride for two for my girlfriend’s birthday and booked it for May **th, ****. We booked a room in Orlando to make sure to arrive on time due to having to be there by *:**. The entire experience was absolutely horrible unfortunately. First we arrived on time as instructed, only to be placed into an overcrowded van only to sit in a van and wait for the captain of our balloon that morning pull into the parking lot running late. Then we were driven to a field where our captain and fellow employee of the balloon company exited the van and again left us sitting in a cramped van for ** minutes with no explanation of what was happening or why we were just sitting there. Over that period of time my girlfriend became very claustrophobic and nauseas as we sitting the last row of the van. After ** minutes we finally pulled into the field where we were left in the van for another ** minutes before finally allowed to get out. Upon the crew filling the hot air balloon it was found that the balloon had TWO HOLES in the balloon and they had to cancel our ride. This WAS NOT weather related but a major safety issue as to why they were canceling our ride. At this time the captain (who was not a full time employee as I understand it) drove us back to their office. Along the way he stated he was done working with this particular company as he stated he had a better opportunity to make more money elsewhere that morning and then proceeded to tell us about safety issues with some of the captains they use and proceeded to show us a photo on his phone where one of the balloons that was hired for that company two weeks earlier had hit the roof of a house, showed an actual photo of this. The entire ride back to the office he had nothing positive to say and this just left us with an overall not easy feeling. Upon arriving back at the office we did reschedule but at this time my girlfriend does not only have no desire to take the ride, she had a fear of doing so that did not exist before due to the overall experience that morning. I would like a full refund or minimum credit for other Groupon purchase but this overall experience was unacceptable and ruined what should have been an amazing birthday experience.
