We recently purchased a Groupon for * nights B&B at 'The Paddocks' order number *****-******-********When we got this shed of a dump, there was no one to check us for quite some time. The outside of the hotel is disgusting, there are broken signboards, rubbish everywhere and heavy plant machinery driving around, dumping rubbish. It was so loud and filthy. **We hoped the inside of the hotel would be a little better but not only was it scrubby and unwelcoming, it was also freezing cold. The manager was rude and unhelpful, we complained about the cold room and the mattress in the first room as it was about * inches thick and when you sat on the bed it went through to the wood underneath, the *nd room he showed us had a view of the rubbish dump, it was also freezing with a lumpy disgusting mattress and a bathrooms so grubby and small I wouldn't bath my dog in it. We were made to pay the £** weekend supplement before we were allowed to see the rooms. Then he showed us the last room he said he had on offer 'a king room', this was the coldest room of the lot, with carpets that didn't fit and the 'king room' was in actual fact twin beds shoved together with a grubby foam topper on it, not even with a cover on.**We were so tired and distressed by this time and had been refused a refund, that we tried to stay, we asked for a heater as we were sat in this awful place with our coats on, the manager had skulked away by this time, leaving a mere adolescent to deal with this **** whole on her own. She eventually brought us a heater after several times of asking, which was broken and in the end we could not bear it. I was in tears and so upset with having paid for a break for us after looking after a sick family member for months. **I was so hurt and angry and could not got any satisfaction from the staff. We ended up having to pay for another hotel and it ruined our weekend. The hotel is abysmal, the decor is shocking, the carpets were stained, the bar area has bare plywood walls and the whole pace is like and ice block. Groupon you need to do your homework, you may be offering cheap breaks, but it's not cheap if the hotels you offer are so horrendous that you can't bare it and there is no there to help.**We stayed in a hotel just down the road which was actually the same price, same star rating but so much better, lean, warm and functional. Decor aside, the hotel should at least be warm enough to stay, we could see our own breath in The Paddocks room.**We want a full refund and we will be going to trading standards if we do not get one.**Disgusting.**Thanks you**Michele Doran-Payne
