I had * Frankie and Benny vouchers to use which were due to expire tonight. I had received a reminder from groupon to use them in the week. I contacted Groupon customer services by telephone at around *.**pm tonight to see if the validity could be extended but I was told I had to use them by midnight or I would lose them. I made a journey with my husband, daughter and her partner to Frank & Bennys in Trentham so that we could use the vouchers before they expired. After having our meal I showed the vouchers to the cashier who scanned the bar codes then told me the vouchers codes weren’t valid. After numerous times of trying and sitting in a restaurant full of people I had no other choice but to purchase * more vouchers at a cost of £**.**. Apart from costing me money I didn’t want to be paying out this money really. It was so embarrassing and humiliating. It also cost us an extra £**.** for extra charges on top plus drinks which had I not needed to use the vouchers I would have not spent any money at all tonight. I am really unhappy and angry that what I thought was going to be a cheap night out for us all ended up being expensive. I want a refund for the * vouchers that were available and due to expire tonight. I made a special effort to go out and use these vouchers, after speaking with your customer services dept prior to going out I was told that if I didn’t use them I would lose them. Obviously something has gone terribly wrong and I want a refund for the * Frank & Bennys vouchers. I had no alternative but to purchase * more vouchers as the restaurant could not process my vouchers. I await your urgent response on this matter. A very dissatisfied customer. *Mrs D Scott
