The issue in GetHuman-sparrowm's own words
We checked in to the***********.**.***Travelodge by Wyndham Niagara Falls Bonaventure, ***** Lundy's Lane*Niagara Falls, ON L*H *H**************, *For our Double-Queen Room w* Winter Festival of Lights Family Package, at around *pm October **th, our scheduled booking. My family and I went up to our room after the normal check-in process where they handed us our room keys and the groupon package. *List of complaints leading to this refund request.**. When I booked the groupon ad they indicated that they were much closer to the falls than they were. The receptionist was not dressed professionally and the lighting in the lobby was too dim.**. On the way up to our room the lights for the out-door stairs were off and didn't turn on at all as my wife and I and our three children under five years old hiked in the dark to our third floor room with our bags. **. We entered the room and were met with an unclean smell.**. The metal door had several marks and dents in it.**. Seeing and smelling the room not looking clean I started attempting to inspect. However, only half the lights in the room were functional so I had to use my cell phone light to inspect.**. Due to the condition of the room so far we were concerned about bed bugs. Upon inspecting the bed closest to the door it looked new along with the box spring. However, when I inspected the bed furthest from the door, that mattress had many stains, there crumbs and possibly bug remnants underneath it, and under the box spring there was a floor and wall stain that seemed to never have been noticed.**. I then inspected the edge of the room where the walls meet the floor and found dust, crumbs, cracks and holes. **I then decided we were going to return the keys and coupons and ask for a refund. We went back down the stairs whose lights had since been turned on, repacked our car and drove to the lobby. I went in to do the return and the receptionist said that they could give me no return and that she was sorry we weren't satisfied with the room. She then offered us another room but I decided as there was nothing that I had seen or experienced about this hotel that would make me stay. I must say that the staff was kind and sincere. The cleanliness I would list in the three worst of my life.*They said that we could keep the coupons because they had no use for them, however after looking at them there were none we would use, and I did return all the coupons the following morning.**Because we now had no reservations we spent about $*** dollars for another hotel and we were not able to visit the Falls because it had become too late. These things all combined made for a late bed time for our ** month old and he had a rough night so in turn my night was rough as well.**I am requesting that Groupon refund the $**.**, seventy-five dollars and ninety-seven cents from our terrible Travelodge reservation and credit us with $*** two hundred dollars for the extra cost and inconvenience that we incurred because the homework* research on this Travelodge was not done to prove that they were the quality their Groupon offer claimed.**Sincerely,*Caleb Weinhardt *** Sent **.**.**
