I purchased an afternoon tea for myself & friend, we were meeting in Birmingham for the day, coming from different part of the country., I booked Goupon, cafe rouge, and upgraded to Prosecco afternoon tea for £**. I have to say the staff were lovely, but we were told we could only have the Prosecco and no tea or coffee. I felt completely embarrassed, surely the tea or coffee would of been included originally for £** & we upgraded to have a glass of Prosecco additionally, not instead of. the waiter went to speak to the manager to see if we were allowed & came back to say we could have a flat white, wonderful. however when the afternoon tea arrived it was not as described or illustrated, we only received small slice of carrot cake, and something like bun loaf, no lemon cake or red velvet. the sandwiches were delicious, however we had one small scone each which i could hardly bite into, we ate what we could and left.. very disappointed. the waiter said 'we always have trouble with Groupon, !! I thought you should be aware of this, on checking my order it does say you get an 'additional' glass of prosecco. and lists the cakes you should get, i do have photographs to show this..*thank you very much for taking the time to read this.. My order number is.. XG*C*X*V.
