I placed an order on Friday evening *******. When it came time to confirm purchase and choose payment method I saw that the credit card * you had on file was no longer active. I clicked edit and supplied new information, clicked save and waited for confirmation of my purchase. Instead of a confirmation I received a message that my purchase failed due to a problem with my card. I went back to the payment screen and the old payment information was still present. I found a phone number for Groupon International and called that number. My hope was they could connect me with someone stateside. Gentleman with whom I spoke took all my info and said payment didn't go through because of a security issue. I would be charged $*.** to change info, which would be refunded once my purchase was confirmed. That might take ** hours, so I should check next day. I did as he said and said and old info was still on file. I am now terrified my info is in the hands of an unscrupulous person who now has all the info for my current account. Also, I have received another message from Groupon showing a purchase for * more seats that failed. I hate not being able to talk with someone who can assure me this situation can be remedied. I have been a loyal Groupon customer since it's inception. I am ** years old and not particularly computer savvy. This situation has made me ill the entire weekend. What has happened to my old Groupon, when I could reach customer support live **** and they could take care of any mistake I made? PLEASE, PLEASE HELP. Just incase someone needs to speak with me my contact is ***-***-****.

I can't tell someone else how to fix the problem. I had a nervous breakdown trying to get a hold of some one at Groupon. I checked today and found out my old credit card was finally canceled and it allowed me to enter a new card and make my intended purchase. However, I still do not know whether the person who told me they were Groupon New Yok, and to whom I gave my new number, was creditable or not and therefore whether that information is safe or not. I guess I will have to sit on it and wait it out. Still also, don't know why Groupon did not allow me to edit out card and register new one during my first attempt on Thursday.
