On March **th at *:** America Air Duct came to clean air ducts. Had computer problems purchasing Groupon but had gotten far enough to secure the phone number, so called.*They said they would accept Groupon price. When tech got in house, hooked up machine in the kitchen, showed me how dirty vent was, he said it would cost more and quoted a little over $***.**, but they gave a two year warranty and would come back during the third year for half price if there was a problem. He took a ***** driver and ladder, saying he would check other rooms to be sure they were getting clean and for me to stay with the machine and big hose in the kitchen to be sure it 'held'. I asked if he wasn't going to take the machine to the other vents and clean each one like the companies that had done the cleaning before had done. He said all vents were connected and the one in the kitchen was the 'master' and would pull all the dust. Further, his company had a new machine and this system could pull from all vents since they were all connected. When he returned and began to pull down and take the machine out, he gave me the final figure of well over $***, BUT if I paid cash he could reduce some. I asked to see inside the other vents. He said he had replaced all the covers after he checked and didn't have time. I asked if he had cleaned the two return vents. He asked how often I replaced the filters and then said they should be clean, but it would cost more if he set the machine back up and cleaned them. I paid him the lowest amount I could which was still over $***. Now here are the problems I see: ** The ducts were NOT cleaned, I had them checked.** I was overcharged.** I have called many, many times and never gotten an answer at the ***.***.**** posted number, just a 'mailbox is full'.**** the MAIN reason over and above all those listed is that the Master bedroom and bath vents are clearly super clogged. This area is cold, cold in the winter *I had to purchase a large expensive electric fireplace to heat the room so I could crawl in bed under multiple blankets, and at least ** PLUS degrees hotter in the summer. At night now I am forced to turn the A*C ** degrees cooler, keep * fans and * large air purifiers running **** just to be able to walk into that area. *I've tried almost * months to get satisfaction on my own to no avail. The fact they refuse to talk to me is more than fishy. What can be done? I am sorely disappointed. Please help.
