The issue in GetHuman-luckylio's own words
I tried submitting an order for * products via Groupon's web site last night and received an error that I needed to enter a shipping address even though the site recognized my shipping address and offered a change in format, which I accepted. I tried to place the order from my laptop, from my phone's browser, and I even downloaded the Groupon app and tried that - which instead of an address error, told me I needed to select a service date (but I am trying to purchase products so that makes no sense). I tried contacting customer service via chat last night but they were not available. When I tried to place the order again this morning, I got the same error so I tried chat again. I then had the most drawn-out and unhelpful chat I've ever experienced. The customer service person had me troubleshoot on my end and send screenshots. I tried everything per instruction but the order would still not go through. The person then offered to place the order for me but said they were unable to order both products together so I would have to pay shipping on both instead of the free shipping I would get if I was able to place the order online. On top of this, had I been able to place the order last night, I would have been able to use a promo code for **% off, and the customer service person was insistent it was not possible to provide any further discount because the promo code was expired. So basically, at the end of an almost hour-long chat, the only suggestion was for me to purchase the products individually through customer service with no discount and no free shipping, which means I would be paying substantially more that if I was able to purchase them online, which I couldn't do because of some sort of technical problems with Groupon. This is one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had, and I am shocked because I have never experienced any sort of issue with Groupon in the past. In fact, I've even had positive and helpful interactions with Groupon's customer service before. All I really want as a resolution is assistance in making my intended purchases with a price matching that of when I tried to place the order last night, which included free shipping and a **% discount.
