I got my green dot card stolen and had to cancel the card immediately well that was feb ** and they charged me * dollars for a replacement card..ok whatever fine. They said it would take up to ** business days to receive my card in the mail well I called them again a week ago since it's been over that time frame and still hasn't came in the mail yet. They said they can expedite a new card for $** (Even though I shouldn't have to pay sh*t since they "lost" or never even sent out my new card) So I said fine. Expedite it nlw please.*They said it could take up to * business days since it takes * business days to make the card after putting in the order. They charged me $** and its been * business days already!! It's ridiculous!! This is the Green Dot Unlimited Debit Card, I should add. And I called yesterday (March **) & they said they can't find my ticket for the order of my new card for expedited delivery that I said was supposed to be put in & was confirmed over the phone that it was put in. And I was charged $** for it. So they meaninglessly apologized & said all they can do is send out another card for expedited delivery with FedEx and waive the $** fee this time and it would come on Weds the **th. That's * f*cking days!! What kind of expedited delivery is that b.s.?!! And to put the cherry on top, my $*,*** stimulus check just got deposited into my account but I can't even access my own money without activating the new card. It won't let me transfer my money or anything. Last week, I even tried Western Unioning myself by a bank transfer (routing & account number) to another one of my debit cards (even though that would take * or * business days) & it was declined by my bank it said. I asked them how I can access my money in any way like what are the options I have & they said nothing. I can only access my money by activating my replacement card & there's no other way to get my money besides waiting for my card in the mail. This is absolutely ridiculous and pure bull sh*t!! Im sick of this f*ck sh*t!!!! I should've had my card a week ago!! I've ordered a new card three times in the passed ** days!! SMFH. Once I do get my card, if i ever do, i will definitely withdrawal all of my money and close the account and NEVER use it again and will most definitely write a bad and honest review everywhere I can to warn everyone of this **** poor excuse of a "bank". I'm honestly thinking about pursuing legal matters about this n possibly suing Green Dot. How can a bank hold someone's own money hostage and refuse to give them access to their own money unless they activate a new card and also never send them their new card like its some game!!?! Ughhh. I HATE AND DESPISE GREEN DOT BANK MORE THAN ANYTHING IN THIS WORLD & strongly regret ever getting an account with them.
