I got a Green Dot MasterCard a month ago with $[redacted]. I've had trouble using it to pay bills, withdrawing cash from ATMs, and completing transactions at stores. I contacted customer service after many attempts and got disconnected and treated poorly. The representative mentioned changing the PIN on the app, but when I tried, it directed me to log in on the website. I'm frustrated as it has been almost two months, and I still haven't received my new registered card. I just want to access my funds and pay my bills.

I am Kathryn Gordon, but due to memory loss, I am struggling to remember my Greendot account password, email, and associated phone number. I rely on this account for my income and it's frustrating not being able to access it. I appreciate any help in recovering my password. I have tried numerous times to reach a live person for assistance without success. If I can receive my password from my old account, I will greatly appreciate it. I have already ordered a new card and I am a loyal customer of Greendot. Restoring my access will allow me to continue using your services. I sincerely thank you for your understanding and support. Kat.

I purchased a Green Dot card at Family Dollar, adding money onto it. When I tried to activate it by calling the number on the back (which could only be done online), I set up an account. They told me to use a temporary card in the meantime but provided me with a card number, expiration date, and CVV, as well as a direct deposit account number and routing number without my request. Now, I'm left with no money on the card and unable to use it. Family Dollar remembers my purchase, but the manager said I need to contact Green Dot for help. Unfortunately, the phone number provided for Green Dot has not been helpful. I am dissatisfied and would like a refund.

I have been attempting to reach a GreenDot customer service representative for weeks without success. I purchased a GreenDot reloadable card at a Walgreens in New Orleans while abroad and loaded $[redacted] onto it for security due to a theft incident. However, I was unable to activate the card without a SSN as a British citizen vacationing. The manager at the Walgreens assisted me in registering the card using their details. Despite having money left on the card, I am unable to access it as my PIN has been blocked since returning to the UK. I am seeking assistance to unlock my PIN and retrieve my funds. I can provide the manager's information for verification. Please contact me at the email provided as I am frustrated with the lack of response and functionality of the card. I hope to resolve this matter promptly. Thank you. - Liam H.

My card broke in half, and I need a replacement with the same card number and account information. All my bills are paid through this card, and my direct deposit is linked to it. It would be challenging for me to update all my information and transfer my benefits to a new card with different details.

I encountered erroneous charges on my GreenDot account but luckily had insufficient funds when the charges attempted to go through. Despite calling customer service for assistance, I struggled to explain my situation due to language barriers on their end. After multiple failed attempts to resolve the issue over the phone, I faced frustrating experiences and eventually lost access to my account and accumulated cash back rewards. I have filed a complaint with consumer affairs and am seeking assistance from GreenDot's corporate office to address the mishandling of my account. I am disappointed by the lack of understanding from the customer service representative and the resulting cancellation of my account, causing me to lose $[redacted]. I am determined to find a resolution to this email and situation.

I recently activated a Green Dot card, but I have been unable to use it. When I visited Wal-Mart, they directed me to customer service, where I was told my account with the number ending in [redacted] was closed. My expiration date is 09/19. I am puzzled as to why this closure occurred and am concerned about the status of the funds on the card. I am not tech-savvy and have had trouble reaching Green Dot online. If the issue cannot be resolved promptly, I kindly request a refund of my initial deposits.

There seems to have been a misunderstanding regarding my recent phone bill payment. I paid my phone bill on February 11, [redacted], using my Green Dot card ending in [redacted] to Verizon Wireless for phone number [redacted]. However, my phone service has been disconnected due to an error. I have tried to contact Green Dot customer service, but the automated system is not allowing me to speak with a representative. I need assistance in rectifying this issue so that my phone service can be restored promptly. I have no concerns about the amount of the payment, I simply wish to have my phone activated again as the payment was valid. Thank you for your help in resolving this matter with Verizon Wireless so that my phone service can be reinstated for the number [redacted].

I am currently out of town with my wife, two states away, and trying to access my online account. However, I have forgotten both my username and password since it's been a long time since I last logged in. The system is asking for my social security number and card number, but the issue is that my cards are at home, which is two states away. I can provide the social security number, but I don't have access to the card number without the physical card. I need to transfer funds and manage my account while away, but the system is not offering any alternatives. When I try to call for help, the automated system does not allow me to speak to a live person, insisting on a card number. I am frustrated as I am unable to resolve this issue on my own. If possible, please reach out to me at [redacted] to assist. Thank you. - M.S.

I purchased two MoneyPaks on 2/26/[redacted] but encountered issues with loading them as they had invalid numbers. Despite seeking help, no one could resolve the problem, and when I requested a refund, it was apparently issued to a James Martinez without my consent. I did not authorize anyone to use my cards, especially in Miami where they were bought. Although I bought three cards, I only got a refund for one. I would like a refund of $[redacted].00. Can you please help me with this situation, or should I consider taking legal action against MoneyPak/Green Dot?

My name is Michael Fox. Recently, I purchased two prepaid debit cards from your company. Despite being informed that I couldn't activate the cards by calling the [redacted]-[redacted] number, I decided to give it a try. To my disappointment, the accounts of others turned out to be true. I attempted to activate my cards by entering the card number and security code as instructed, but to no avail after spending about 40 to 45 minutes. It dawned on me that I was grappling with a company that seemed indifferent to the activation issue. On visiting the website to register the cards, I encountered more roadblocks as I couldn't input the necessary details to activate them. Even after attempting other Green Dot-owned sites, I faced the same unproductive outcome. This experience has left me questioning my decision to continue doing business with your company. While I understand that issues can arise, I find this level of service unacceptable. - Mike Fox

Dear Support Team, I am writing to request that you unsubscribe me from using your website since my experiences with Green Dot have been disappointing. I have encountered issues using the card, particularly with being able to make purchases online but not at gas stations. Despite having sufficient funds available, my card has been declined at the pump multiple times for no valid reason. After contacting your staff, I was told the declines were due to "suspicious activity" even though there was none. I tried resolving the matter with customer service, only to be told to wait an hour before being able to use the card again. This left me in a difficult situation where I ran out of gas and had to wait unnecessarily. I want to express my frustration and inform you that I will not be utilizing Green Dot services in the future and will not be recommending your company to others. Thank you, [Initials] #poorservice #stranded

Last Friday, I bought a greendot reloadable prepaid Visa card and loaded $[redacted].00 to pay my car payment. To activate the card, I called a [redacted] number. During the call, after the initial steps were completed, I was transferred to a live customer service representative. While verifying the card, the representative misspelled my first name causing the system to reject it. She then mentioned personal identity verification, switched the call, and got disconnected. An automated service then took over, offering no solutions to verify my information. Despite trying the service numbers provided, I couldn't get back in touch with anyone to complete the verification process. This whole experience with the phone card service has been disappointing, as it caused more problems than resolutions, especially with an urgent bill to pay. I urgently need assistance to resolve this issue today.

I recently purchased a Green Dot card and successfully registered it. Soon after, a new card with my name printed on it arrived along with a paper containing direct deposit information, including my name, address, bank routing number, and account number. My son transferred money to the provided bank and routing information, but unfortunately, I have not been able to see the amount reflected in my account yet. The money appeared as pending for 24 hours, but there has been no change since. My son sent me screenshots showing the confirmation number [redacted]83 for the $[redacted] transfer.

I purchased a MoneyPak at Dollar General in Burkesville, Kentucky with the number [redacted][redacted]. When I tried to load it online, I was unable to. Despite attempting to register it under a different name, it still didn't work. After speaking with both the manager Brittany and the store manager Duane Jones at Dollar General, they refused to refund my money. I have reached out to the corporate office and I am currently waiting for a response. I have the MoneyPak information and the debit card ready, and I would like the $85 I paid to be transferred. If transferring isn't feasible, I request a refund directly from the store instead of a check, as the money did not reach the card. Thank you, Mark Lucisano

I encountered issues registering online for payment and was directed to customer service. Although I tried to register by phone, the automated system had trouble understanding my information. After navigating this, I provided a phone verification code and was transferred to a representative with whom communication was challenging due to language barriers and a strong accent. Despite my attempts to clarify my details, there was uncertainty in the information provided. Upon being sent back to the automated system, I was informed my information couldn't be verified, hindering my ability to reload the card or retrieve cash. I believe my longstanding connections and accurate details should have facilitated verification, and I seek assistance from a native English speaker for accurate processing. Having used the same email professionally for a decade and having a history in both Georgia and now California, I find it frustrating to consider purchasing a new card and starting anew. I rely on this for my upcoming job's cash transactions and require prompt resolution via email.

I purchased another Visa Green Dot card to add funds to my fiance's account but encountered an issue when trying to use it online. The site mentioned I had too many cards on file and wouldn’t let me register it. I loaded $[redacted] initially, and now I'm uncertain about the current balance or any deductions made. The situation is causing me stress, and I urge prompt assistance to resolve this matter. I prefer speaking to a person over dealing with automated services. Without a resolution within 24 hours, I will escalate this matter further. It's frustrating not being able to access my funds for essential purchases like milk and bread.

I have spent two weeks in discussion with your customer service representatives over the phone. The company mistakenly sent my credit card to the wrong address and has not allowed me to speak with a representative who has an American accent, making communication difficult due to my hearing impairment. I was instructed to email a copy of my ID and a utility bill to correct the mailing address for my card, but I am unable to do so as my identification was stolen during a break-in. The company claims my significant tax refund was sent to the incorrect address provided by the IRS, but I have received other IRS mail at my current address. Unfortunately, I have faced disconnections and poor service. Despite requesting it, my card has not been blocked, leaving me without access to funds crucial for securing a new apartment. I am deeply unhappy with the service and am considering escalating the issue to the Better Business Bureau and seeking legal advice.

I purchased a starter kit on 3/31/19 and was unaware it would be a temporary card. Working as a travel Nurse in Reno, Nevada, I lack access to my Miami, FL address. Despite sending in required documents, my card remains BLOCKED. It was briefly unblocked but then blocked again, with no explanation. While shown as active on their end, both app and card indicate otherwise. I work out of state in an extended stay hotel; however, customer service fails to comprehend my situation. Their insistence on a bill or statement for my temporary address at a hotel is impractical. I prefer closing this account and not splitting my paycheck with this bank despite having deposited $[redacted] from it initially. Asking for urgent assistance to resolve this dilemma.

I encountered an issue with my Walmart prepaid card (Green Dot) where $[redacted].52 was mistakenly deducted from my account. Despite my dispute, it was denied. The problem escalated when they sent a replacement card to an outdated address and refused to send it to my current address. Consequently, they closed my account with a remaining balance of $[redacted].07. Instead of transferring these funds to my new card opened with the correct address, they insisted on issuing a refund check. I complied with their request for verification by emailing my updated address documentation on March 19, [redacted] to [redacted] Unfortunately, I have yet to receive my refund. I am eager to have the money from the card ending in [redacted] refunded or transferred to my new card, backed by the verification that confirms my change of address.
