I am extremely frustrated with your company. I purchased a new card from you on June 12th, activated it, and bought a gift for my father. When I tried to check my balance, it said my social security number was invalid. When I attempted to log into my account on your website, it claimed all my information was incorrect, including the wrong number. After trying to reach out through your Facebook page and not receiving a call as your company claimed, I am now considering filing a complaint with the BBB if this matter is not resolved. I demand that this issue be fixed promptly; otherwise, I will have no choice but to take further action. I will not tolerate a company taking my hard-earned money and not providing the services I paid for. Rest assured, I will persist until this problem is rectified.

Throughout my recent experience with Green Dot, a series of issues have emerged, deterring me from considering another purchase of a Green Dot card. Initially, I faced a 24-hour delay in activating my card due to allegedly exceeding the attempts limit, which seems unreasonable. Additionally, even after this waiting period, the card did not activate promptly. Upon activation, all attempted transactions using the card, including through PayPal, were declined. Despite verifying all details on both the card and PayPal, the issue persisted. When attempting to contact customer service, I encountered challenges in verifying my identity with the last four digits of my SSN deemed invalid, preventing me from seeking support. Regrettably, the card continues to be declined across all platforms where it has been utilized.

I have noticed several unauthorized charges on my Green Dot Debit Card. There are two $15 charges from FreedomPop, three unauthorized charges from a website called free shipping.com, and an overcharge by DEALS Department Store for $60.59 when the merchandise cost $6.59, resulting in a $54 overcharge. While I don't have the transactions in front of me currently, could you please send me a copy of all my transactions from 02/01/[redacted] to 06/01/[redacted]? I suspect there may be unauthorized transactions from Fast and Friendly Convenient Store as well. I am investigating potential theft by a family member and need to verify all transactions during that time frame.

I recently found out that my account was blocked due to suspicious activity. After submitting a copy of my ID, I was informed that I needed to send both the front and back copies. Despite doing this, my account remained blocked. Customer service assured me it would be resolved within two business days. However, after several attempts, my account is still locked. When I attempted to contact customer service, I was met with an automated message and no assistance. The funds in my account are crucial as I have expenses and two young children to support. I purchased a card for my 10-year-old son to use online. Upon activation through the automated system, we were charged an $8 monthly fee. Additionally, we were informed that the card could only be used once and a personalized card was not an option. I am frustrated by being charged a monthly fee without any benefits and the lack of assistance from the call center supervisors at Green Dot. I have been a customer for years, but the service is subpar. I am seeking a detailed explanation for the $8 charge and the inability to obtain a card. The customer service experience was disappointing as they did not offer solutions, only limitations. Communicating with them was extremely difficult. I recently purchased a gold reloadable card with $10 on it and activated it by calling the number on the front. Shortly after activation, monthly payments began. When I inquired about the due dates and amounts of the payments, following the automated instructions with my card number, I was informed that the card has a negative $6 balance and can no longer be used. I am confused as to how there is a negative balance when I had only spent the initial $10, bringing the balance to $0. I'm unsure about the existence of the monthly payments if the card is unusable. Additionally, I am concerned about whether Green Dot has access to my personal information such as my name, card number, or social security number. Thank you.

I am Brenda Hampton. I am trying to get assistance with my accounts. I have two accounts, the first card ending in [redacted]. I need help replacing the second card as I never received it to activate it. I'm unsure of the last 4 digits on the second card, but there is a balance I need access to. I expected to receive my job check on my card, but the funds are not showing up. I've been informed they can't help me until the money is sent back, and my card balance remains at zero. I am disappointed with Green Dot's lack of assistance. During my call, the representative tried to sell me rebates instead of transferring me to customer service. He insisted on getting a card number for rebates, even though I explained my financial situation. I declined and requested customer service contact details, but the number I received was for toll-free listings. I am frustrated as I urgently need the money on my card. I will not recommend Green Dot due to this experience.

Hello, my name is Monique R. and I have a Wal-Mart MoneyCard through Green Dot Bank. I contacted them to cancel my card and order a new one due to some disputed charges. I received an email requesting a copy of my ID or driver's license for identity confirmation. When trying to upload it online, the site does not recognize my 16-digit card number. Calling customer service only resulted in an automated message stating my card is frozen and to upload my ID without further assistance available. I am unable to speak to a representative and have $[redacted] on my card that I urgently need help with.

I purchased a $20 card on Wednesday, 06/26/[redacted], at 5:56 PM CST from Walgreens in Spanish Fort, Alabama, totaling $23.95 with tax. However, when I tried to register the card online, it said "Card is invalid" after one attempt. I then tried registering over the phone, but got the same error message. Even contacting customer support using the number on the back of the card didn’t work. I am concerned and would appreciate assistance as I feel like I am being scammed out of $20. I would like help accessing the card or receiving a refund either via Paypal or charged to another credit card. Thank you.

Hello, I purchased one of your prepaid money cards at Walmart to pay an online bill. While registering the card on June 21, [redacted], the automated system prompted me with steps to follow but did not prompt me to create a username and PIN for login purposes. Instead, it asked for card and SSN numbers to verify my identity, only to respond that it was unable to do so and that the card was for temporary use only. After using up my balance of $[redacted], the card would be useless. I have tried multiple times to pay my online bill without success and have been unable to reach a customer representative. I recently ordered a GreenDot Gold Visa debit card with the Green Dot logo in the upper left corner. It arrived a few days ago, and when I called the registration number at [redacted], I entered all my information. However, at the end of the session, it said my information couldn't be verified and asked me to destroy the card. Now I am unable to reach anyone to understand what is happening.

I purchased a Walmart Money Card, also known as Green Dot, a month ago to shop for my 14-year-old son. Unfortunately, when trying to register the card, my son mistakenly entered [redacted]89 as the Social Security number instead of notifying me about the requirement. I later learned online that the SSN is needed due to anti-terrorism laws. Despite waiting for two weeks for the personalized card and not receiving it, my attempts to contact Customer Service through email and phone have been futile. The automated responses only state that they cannot verify the provided information and refuse to issue a personalized card. It's frustrating that the card, with a significant balance, can only be used for in-person transactions and not for ATM, cash, online, or phone transactions as originally intended. The lack of transparency and unhelpful customer service make it seem like a scam. If the issue isn't resolved by July 1, I will escalate it to the authorities and other reporting agencies due to this poor experience.

My card was blocked, and I promptly submitted all the required documents to your team. However, after a week of trying to reach your corporate office, they misinterpreted the award letter and claimed my information did not match. This led to them holding my $[redacted] deposit from June 8th. Despite instructing Social Security to fax a letter requesting the return of the deposit a week ago, the money has yet to be refunded. It has been almost 4 weeks since the deposit was initially held, and I am frustrated by the delay. I am seeking clarification on why the process is taking so long and would like a definite date for the refund. Everyone has followed your instructions, and the extended delay is now a legal concern. Hello, I'm experiencing issues with the activation process of my GreenDot Card that I purchased at Walgreens. I am urgently requesting a call back! My phone service is not recognizing my information correctly, preventing me from activating my card and accessing my funds. I have been unable to reach anyone for assistance, which is extremely frustrating. I just want to load money onto my card without it disappearing. The lack of support or the ability to speak to a live agent is unacceptable. I am in a time-sensitive situation and cannot afford to continue purchasing new cards due to this issue. I recently bought a VISA card from GreenDot to make an online purchase but encountered issues adding funds due to fees and requirements. Despite trying to load money to cover the fees, my attempts were unsuccessful. I confirmed my activated card has a $30 balance by calling. I recently activated a Wal-Mart Money Card almost two weeks ago. I transferred money to it last Friday and was informed that it would take 2 to 3 business days for the funds to show up. When the money appeared, there was a block placed on my account on Monday. I contacted customer service and was asked to send verification documents. I promptly submitted my ID (front and back), a screenshot of my account displaying my name, address, and the money transfer details, along with a separate email containing the transfer confirmation to my Wal-Mart Money Card. Despite this, my account is still under review. My family is facing difficulties due to this issue, and I have received conflicting information from various representatives. I urgently need this matter resolved as it has been ongoing since last Friday. Without the assistance of my sister, my family would be at risk of homelessness. I have been in contact with customer service representatives over the past three days, but I have yet to receive the necessary assistance to remove the block on my account. Your immediate attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated.
