I experienced an issue with my Pixel 2 phone that crashed suddenly and required a factory reset, resulting in the loss of all my data necessary for my business. I contacted Google for a code to recover my account but was informed that they are conducting an investigation that might take 2-5 days. As a result, my business operations are at a standstill without access to the essential apps and contacts on my device. While I can still check emails on my laptop, I urgently need assistance to regain access to my account on my phone. Your help in resolving this matter promptly would be greatly appreciated.

I created a Google account for my Xbox when I was about 12 or 13 and also used it for my first Facebook, which got hacked. The hacker changed the password, and now I can't access my email. My main concern is regaining access to my Xbox account. I can't remember the details due to my young age back then, but I really just want to recover my account to play Xbox again. The old email associated with the account was [redacted] I hope to resolve this issue and restore access to my Xbox account.

My son created an email account at [redacted] to sign into his PlayStation game. Unfortunately, he didn't save any secondary verification details when setting it up quickly around December [redacted]. He used his real name, Briar Cromer, and his birthdate is September 11. I've invested a significant amount of money in his gaming account, but now the auto login isn't working, and he can't recall the password. We need access to the linked email to recover the gaming account, but it's been so long since he accessed his old email that we're stuck. I recently received a Google Voice number from Google that seems to have a troubling history associated with it. Online searches have revealed previous complaints, some suggesting criminal activities tied to the number before it was given to me. The negative reputation linked to this number is now affecting my business, causing confusion and mistrust among potential clients. I believe it's necessary to change my Google Voice number to avoid further damage, but I'm unsure how to proceed with Google or request a new number without incurring additional charges. Given the financial impact this has had on my business, I hope for a resolution that does not involve extra costs. Any guidance on how to address this situation would be greatly appreciated.

I have had a Gmail account for many years. Lately, I've been receiving emails from PayPal stating that an account was set up using my Gmail address. Initially, I thought it was a phishing attempt or a mistake, hoping it would be resolved. Despite forwarding the emails to [redacted] with no response, and reaching out to PayPal customer service receiving only generic advice, the issue persisted. After contacting PayPal directly, they confirmed that my Gmail address was indeed used by someone in the USA to create an account. They explained that Gmail may have reassigned the same email to different users. However, they couldn't remove the account due to the linked bank information of the other user. PayPal recommended reaching out to Google. My attempts to resolve this with Google proved challenging as they denied the possibility of email reassignment. A 3-way call attempt with PayPal was unsuccessful due to security protocols. I seek assistance in confirming that [redacted] belongs to me, Tracy Buchan in Scotland, not Angel Brazzille in the USA.

Google assigned the email addresses [redacted] and [redacted] to two different individuals, causing confusion and missing emails for both parties. The first user who created the email should possess both variations, while the second user should transition to a new address. A "transition" button could forward emails to the new address discreetly, preserving privacy. This solution is necessary to prevent further loss of important emails.

Yesterday, I attempted to contact Amazon by phone. When I clicked on their customer service number, a pop-up box prompted me to choose between calling or canceling. I selected call and spoke to a person with an Indian accent who claimed my account was hacked with unauthorized charges. To receive a refund, he insisted I buy three $[redacted] Google Gift Cards. He cited a bank requirement, stating a reimbursement couldn't be less than $[redacted] due to an account limit. After a lengthy argument and feeling unwell and distressed, I relented and purchased the cards. I scratched off the numbers and read them aloud as instructed. Upon being informed my refund was denied, a text message signed Amazon, Inc. with the phone number [redacted] was sent, but it went unanswered. When I called back the original number [redacted], I encountered the same individuals. They demanded I buy another gift card for an alleged refund of $[redacted]. Frustrated, I terminated the call. Researching the phone number revealed it belonged to Google AdWords, raising suspicions of Google's involvement in the scam. I have already reported this incident to Amazon, plan to inform the Attorney General, and seek guidance from the police. It is essential to raise awareness about this scam and address any potential company affiliations. I would appreciate an explanation regarding these troubling events.

I recently upgraded my phone and now I'm unable to access my Google account. Despite several attempts, I cannot remember the password that I changed nearly a year ago. When contacting different support lines, they all suggest using the account recovery page, which I've already tried. Although I can still log in from my old laptop, I can't update any information without the old password. Even when using my phone number for recovery, the 2-step verification process doesn't function properly. I've also attempted the email recovery option to no avail. At this point, I fear losing access to my account with valuable purchases and emails.

I recently got a new phone and am facing issues logging into my Google account. I have had this account for years, and it contains a lot of important information like previous purchases and emails. I changed my password nearly a year ago, and I can't seem to remember it now. Despite calling multiple help lines, I keep getting redirected to the account recovery page, which I have already tried without success. Surprisingly, I can still access the account from my old laptop but can't update any information without the old password. Even when attempting account recovery with my phone number, the two-step verification process fails to work. I even tried the email recovery option to no avail. All I really want is to reset my password and regain access to my account. I have sensitive information like credit/debit card details and purchase history to prove my ownership of the account.

I'm looking for help on retrieving accidentally deleted emails that were categorized as Updates and Promotions by Google. While cleaning up my email inbox, I lost some emails that were stored in specific Labels. For instance, my "Gingrich" Label contained important emails that were inadvertently deleted while clearing out unwanted Categories. I need guidance on how to prevent this while still utilizing Labels to preserve emails until I manually remove them. I prefer relying solely on Labels for organizing my emails and don't want Google's automatic categorization. The recent email loss situation indicates this feature is causing more harm than good. I appreciate any assistance in resolving this issue. Thank you.

I purchased the Malwarebytes App on 12/28 hoping it would fix my issue. Quickly realized it wouldn't help. Paid $12.38 for it. Same issue with the Avast App, paid $8.49, and also unsubscribed and uninstalled. Tim from Malwarebytes was helpful but couldn't find my purchases. Want a refund of $20.87. The phone number on my bank statement leads to a refund website, which I found confusing. Looking for assistance to get my refunds. Google has been helpful in the past, but now I need help with my refunds. I want my money back as Google processed the payment. Thank you for any help.

I recently purchased Malwarebytes and Avast Apps on 12/28. Unfortunately, they did not meet my expectations, so I promptly cancelled both subscriptions and uninstalled the apps. I attempted to obtain a refund as advised, but the process has been more challenging than expected. Despite being directed to the refund website multiple times, I find it unhelpful due to my limited technological skills in this area. To add frustration, the website prompted me to suggest what they should do next for me. For now, all I want is my refund of $20.87 returned promptly. If a company cannot uphold their product standards and policies, what use are they? Google used to be my trusted browser, but this experience has been disappointing. I demand my refund be processed without further delay. I am prepared to escalate this matter if necessary. I will also share my experience with my Uncle, an FBI agent specializing in scams and online hackers. Kindly take action to refund my money.

My daughter encountered an issue with a card saved on my phone that her child used to make game purchases. Google temporarily disabled my account for investigation. Since reactivation, I face an issue where I am unable to complete multiple transactions consecutively. In certain games, I need to buy multiple items, but I am restricted to one purchase at a time. I seek assistance on why this limitation persists even after the investigation period.

I am experiencing issues with Chrome on my Android device. Whenever the media volume is up, unwanted music plays, even during phone calls. I cannot delete history or save bookmarks. Chrome Beta did not solve the problem. I am frustrated that I cannot reach a real person for help. I have been a Google user for the past 10 years, but I am considering switching to Apple due to this ongoing problem. If I cannot speak to a knowledgeable person who can resolve these issues, I will be forced to leave Google. Please do not send generic troubleshooting emails as a solution. Many others are facing these problems too. Thank you.

I received a notification from your company about discontinuing Google Plus. I've always been focused on my Google Gmail and never intended to join Google Plus. However, I was forced to use it to access Gmail many years back. I am worried about losing my old emails. Can you assist with the following: 1.) Will my emails get deleted? 2.) If they will be deleted, how can I download all of them onto a hard drive to preserve them? 3.) What is the data limit for free usage of Gmail? I would appreciate your prompt response since the email mentioned the termination of Google Plus in March or April. Thank you, A. [redacted] [redacted]

I predominantly use Google as my search engine. Despite having disabled pop-ups on Google, I am constantly bombarded with pop-ups attempting to persuade me to switch to Google Chrome. The relentless frequency of these pop-ups is increasingly disruptive, leading me to contemplate using alternative search engines. I have attempted to disable the pop-ups, as I am not yet willing to transition to Chrome. The incessant nature of these pop-ups from Google Chrome only serves to decrease my inclination to make the switch. There's a concern that if I were to give in and switch, Google may continue to use this aggressive tactic for future promotions. The persistent distractions caused by these multiple daily pop-ups make researching with Google an unpleasant experience. If Google fails to respect my preferences and disregards my repeated declines, it may be time to seek a service that is more considerate and less forceful, but still available when I am prepared to make a change. My preference is clear - I do not want any pop-ups from Google Chrome.
