I am experiencing a frustrating situation with Google that is similar to my issues with Amazon. I am upset because it feels like these companies are trying to control everything like they are Gods. Recently, without my consent, Google deleted one of my programs which was a game I enjoyed. When trying to install a new program, I didn't realize that space was needed, and the game was the one that got deleted. This has cost me $[redacted], hours of playtime, supplies, and brought me a lot of joy. As a 70-year-old in a retirement home, this game was my primary source of entertainment. I feel Google acts as if they have ultimate power, and it's frustrating. I also encountered limitations with Amazon's tablet due to its operating system being too restricted. It feels like these tech giants think they are all-powerful, causing inconvenience and disappointment for users like me.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from the national insurance team stating there were suspicious activities using my NI number. They alleged that multiple bank accounts were opened in Wales, Columbia, and Russia under my name, which was very alarming. The caller asked for personal information like my address, workplace, and bank but did not ask for specific bank details. They threatened me and later a supposed police inspector instructed me to purchase £[redacted] worth of Google Play gift cards from Tesco extra near Borehamwood. Unfortunately, I fell victim to this scam and now find myself in a difficult situation as they drained all my money. They want me to buy more gift cards, but I have the receipts and gift cards. I seek assistance in retrieving my funds and reporting this incident. I have contacted Action Fraud Police and was given a case number. Please help me in this matter. Thank you.

This is my third attempt to address some unauthorized charges on my checking account for The Epoch Times subscription. On the following dates, the debits occurred: - 6/15/21: $17.07 - 5/17/21: $1.06 - 5/14/21: $82.19 Total: $[redacted].32 After contacting The Epoch Times, they denied receiving these funds from Google Play-Pay. Despite paying an initial fee of $45 in August [redacted] and expecting a renewal on June 27, [redacted], The Epoch Times claims no record of payments from Google Play-Pay. Google Play/Pay, where is my $[redacted].32? A prompt clarification would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. M. Stinson

I am trying to reach Google for assistance. The phone number provided ([redacted]) is currently unable to offer support due to Covid-19. I recently updated my billing information with a new debit card and submitted my ID as requested. However, I received an email stating that the information provided does not match their records, possibly due to a different debit card on file. I spoke with a representative yesterday, but now I cannot reach anyone and the number is not working for me. I need guidance on how to proceed without the ability to speak directly with Google.

I am having trouble redeeming my Google Play gift cards. Each time I try to redeem them, I receive an error message stating they can only be redeemed in the country they were purchased in. I have been living in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada all my life, using the same account for quite some time. I have already reached out via email through the Google Play app but have not received a response yet. The case number is 0-[redacted][redacted], which I submitted last night. I also attached a snapshot of the gift cards I am trying to redeem. I purchased another gift card today for $25, but it is also being rejected. This situation is confusing and frustrating as I missed out on a special offer last night. It's concerning as the total value of both gift cards is $40, and I am unable to use them. Please address this issue promptly. If needed, you can reach me at my home phone number 1-[redacted]. Thank you, Angela Shrutwa.

Hello, I am sorry to reach out with a big issue I encountered. On June 14, [redacted], I purchased €35 worth of Google Play gift cards for in-game purchases on Roblox. The payment went through smoothly. However, the next day, when I tried to redeem another gift card for the game, I received an error message stating that the transaction couldn't be completed because the gift card can only be used in the country of purchase. My account was set to Germany for the gift card to work, and now I am unable to use it. I have reached out to Roblox support, and they mentioned it's not an issue with their game. Could this be due to Google Play's payment restrictions? I am really worried about not being able to make in-game purchases without this feature. Kindly assist me in resolving this matter. Thank you.

Hello, I recently downloaded a free app called Picture This. Upon opening, I discovered it offers a 7-day free trial followed by a €30 yearly charge. Although I'm only on day 2 of the trial, I cannot find a way in the app to cancel and prevent the upcoming charge, as it's not listed in Google Play subscriptions yet. Many users have faced issues where Picture This still charged them via Google Play despite canceling the subscription. I have contacted Picture This through Facebook to cancel the trial and await confirmation. I wish to ensure I won't be charged and revoke authorization for any payments to Picture This from my account. I look forward to your prompt response. Thank you, Nicole.

I noticed some unauthorized transactions on my bank statement last night, involving charges from Google Play that I did not authorize beyond the two £9.99 payments for Roblox on my daughter's account. As a single parent on benefits and dealing with various health issues, I find it distressing that my daughter was able to incur these charges without my knowledge. I have already removed my bank details from lastminute.com due to an additional unknown charge. Since April, there have been numerous unexpected transactions on Google Play, which I was not aware of until I checked my bank statement recently. I am requesting a refund for all unauthorized charges, as my daughter, who is only 7, was unwittingly making these purchases. I have contacted my bank, and they advised me to reach out to you for assistance. I would appreciate it if you could investigate these transactions and process refunds for the charges beyond the two £9.99 payments for Roblox, as my daughter will no longer be allowed to use the app if this issue is not resolved promptly.

Could you please confirm if granting full access to Polaris Office is correct? The app now requires 'Allow access to all files' due to changes in Google policy starting from Android OS 11. This access is necessary for functions like inserting pictures in documents and managing files across folders. Without this permission, users may face difficulty accessing documents from multiple folders. Despite the notice wording, this change is solely to support Android OS 11 and doesn't request additional access compared to before. Rest assured, Polaris Office does not delete user files and only checks file status in the background for support reasons. While this permission may seem sensitive, please understand it's part of ensuring the app's safety, as validated by Google's review process for 'All files access'.

I would like a refund for this ineffective card. The individual had me on speakerphone as I drove to the store to purchase a $50 card to resolve my Google password issue, this was supposed to also resolve my Facebook password problem since they are linked. However, after obtaining the pin numbers from the card, he requested 2 more cards, which I refused. I insisted on a refund since he hadn't used the initial $50 card yet. Despite my inquiries during the process, he attempted to shift blame onto me. I simply want my money returned. After unsuccessfully locating where the initial $50 was used, I discovered a friend who uses similar cards for games. I have been searching for nearly a week to locate the $50, as Google's payment balance indicates it is already linked to another account. I have checked all my Google and Gmail accounts.

I have recently noticed a concerning issue regarding duplicate charges in my in-app purchases for one of the games I play. Each time I make a purchase, I am seeing multiple charges from various companies, even though the developer confirms only one transaction on their end. This has been going on for over two years, with almost every purchase being affected. I have meticulously documented these instances with a spreadsheet and screenshots of my bank statements as evidence of these repeated charges. I am eager to provide these details for investigation by the appropriate parties. You can reach me at [redacted] or [redacted]. Your prompt attention to this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello, my account [redacted] has been deactivated because I allowed a friend to use it while I couldn't due to time constraints. The issue arose because we are located far from each other; I reside in Austria, and he is in England. I cannot reactivate the account because I now have a new phone number and cannot receive the verification code on my old number. I urgently need my account back as it contains important information. I require assistance in reactivating my account since I am unable to do it myself.

In April, my doctor installed the MyFitnessPal app on my phone without informing me about any charges. I later discovered I was billed $19.99 in June and July despite being assured by Verizon that the charges would stop after May. I tried contacting Google Play Store and Verizon, but was unable to reach anyone for assistance. I uninstalled the app in May as advised by Verizon. As a senior citizen on a fixed income, this unexpected charge is a burden. Good customer service seems to have disappeared, with the blame often put on Covid-19. I urge companies to consider the challenges faced by senior customers. Please remove the unauthorized $19.99 charge from my account.

I urgently need to discuss a matter with you regarding over $[redacted] in Google Play charges this month that I need refunded. Today alone, over $[redacted] was charged, excluding the legitimate purchases I made. There have been multiple excessive charges in rapid succession, likely due to my brother using my account on his device. I've addressed the issue on my end, but some of the charges are my responsibility, mostly totaling $10 or less. Unfortunately, my credit card has been maxed out, and I can't afford nor did I authorize these exorbitant charges. There are numerous charges, among them a $50 charge, 13 charges of $31.89 each totaling $[redacted].57, 4 charges of $21.26 each totaling $85.04, and 2 consecutive $10.62 charges that seem to be legitimate but were duplicated. Since June 28th to July 1st, there have been over $[redacted] in charges. I haven't disputed any charges before these dates. Kindly contact me to assist in resolving this pressing issue as I am in distress about the situation. I have already secured my account with updated information. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. Best, Kristina C.

I have been trying to make a payment through my Google Play account, but it has been unsuccessful multiple times. The card ending in [redacted] is no longer valid. I have checked my account [redacted] for subscriptions and cannot find any trace of a £4.39 charge for an app or service I might be subscribed to. I am uncertain about the exact nature of this charge, so I would appreciate it if you could help me locate my account and bank details to identify the source of the charge. I am requesting for the repeated payment attempts to be stopped, as each decline is negatively affecting my statements. You can reach me at [redacted] or [redacted] regarding this matter. Thank you for your assistance. Best regards, My-Linh Tran

On the 3rd of August, I received an email from someone posing as a former colleague from work. They requested 3 x £[redacted] Google Play vouchers, which I bought and shared the codes thinking it was legitimate. After contacting my workplace, it became apparent the email was a scam. I promptly reported the incident to the bank and was advised to file a report with Action Fraud. I am seeking a refund of the £[redacted] spent on the vouchers. The hacker accessed my Google Play account and the vouchers are no longer visible since they used the codes after I scratched the cards.

On July 12, five unauthorized apps were subscribed to without my knowledge or permission, resulting in a total charge of $[redacted].25 on July 15. Upon receiving an alert on the 12th for a suspicious login from a Galaxy S8+ that we do not own, we promptly changed our password as advised by the security alert. It was only on June 19 that we discovered these unauthorized charges. Having canceled the subscriptions immediately and initially suspecting our visiting grandchildren as the culprits, further investigation revealed that these charges were actually fraudulent activities from Russian developers through Google Play. Despite submitting refund requests, including a call attempt to 1-[redacted], which was unsuccessful due to COVID-19 restrictions, my refund requests have been unfulfilled. With one claim showing as "Completed" with a refund amount of $00.00 for each app, I urgently seek resolution as retired individuals on a fixed income. Kindly review my account activity to confirm the unauthorized charges. Your prompt assistance in this matter is sincerely appreciated. Thank you, Cheri Brigance.

On July 12, five unauthorized apps were subscribed to without my, or my family's, consent. On July 15, these apps charged a total of $[redacted].25 to my account. We received an alert on the 12th about a suspicious login from a device we do not own. We changed our password as suggested by the security alert. The charges for these unauthorized apps were only noticed on June 19th. I have cancelled the subscriptions and requested a refund, suspecting initially it was our visiting grandchildren who made the charges. However, after investigating, it was revealed that these were fraudulent charges from Russian developers via Google Play. Our grandchildren were not present on the dates of these transactions. I have made multiple refund requests and tried calling 1-[redacted], but due to COVID-19, I have been unable to reach anyone. I am granting permission to check my account to verify the situation. The charges in question are as follows: -Building tools, PRO! - July 12th $0.00, July 15th $10.22 -Coffee ProStarter - July 12th $0.00, July 15th $49.55 -Computer Manual - July 12th $0.00, July 15th $[redacted].45 -Fisherman Guide - July 12th $0.00, July 15th $[redacted].16 -Metal Miner - July 12th $0.00, July 15th $[redacted].87 Total charges: $[redacted].25 Despite multiple refund requests, one claim was marked as "Completed" with a refund of $00.00 for each app. I have tried to contact Google through various channels with no success. I urge someone to review my account activity. Any help is appreciated, as this loss of $[redacted].25 is significant for us as retirees on a fixed income. Thank you for your assistance.

I noticed unauthorized charges of $4.27 per week for the VIP Subscription Weekly (TRIVIA STAR - Free Trivia Games Offline App) on my credit card statement under Google Platinum play. The charges started on April 8th and continued through July. The transaction ID is GPA.3[redacted]-3[redacted]6..3. The purchase was made from Platinum Player LLC, Nicholas Talarico at [redacted] Bush St, Suite [redacted], San Francisco, CA [redacted], United States. Despite following the online instructions for a refund and calling the provided number, which directed me back to the website, I was unable to obtain a refund. As a result, I have cancelled my card to prevent further charges. I did not authorize these weekly fees and would like a refund for the 3 months of charges, totaling $51.24 from the 12 transactions of $4.27 each. I request a prompt refund of the amount.

Today, I received an email notifying me of a payment for a subscription I cancelled on August 8th. While dealing with the refund process, I reviewed my account claims and found an unfamiliar charge of $[redacted] from May, which was denied with no refund to me. I have faced recurring issues with Google regarding unauthorized purchases. Despite cancelling the subscription, the $[redacted] claim was rejected, highlighting Google's poor customer service. As a mother of three managing limited finances, I have taken steps to prevent unauthorized purchases by my children on Google apps. However, Google's reported security breach for almost a year raises concerns. I expect reasonable responses when disputing unauthorized purchases. I will now switch to the Samsung App store and voice my grievances against Google Play's negligence towards such matters. The lack of customer support contact is inconvenient. I plan to reach out to the Better Business Bureau and consumer relations to address this issue and urge Google to refund the unauthorized charges promptly.
