I need technical support for a 2-year-old unit, Model PTC153GOAXXXBA, with Serial #[redacted]. The issue started when trying to reset the cooling and heating limits following the owner's manual. After this, the unit's touchpad stopped responding. The red light is on at the off button, but the controls for heat, cool, and fan do not work. I've done the following: 1. Verified power by the red light on the off switch. 2. Checked Diagnostic status report mode, showing no active failures/lockouts, displaying "---". 3. Manually reset the master switch by turning it off under the control panel for 5 seconds, then holding the heat and cool buttons while turning the switch back on. Local repair services couldn't assist with this issue and programming. Your support is appreciated. -David Wray from Durango, CO

Hello, I would appreciate any suggestions. I recently had a new Goodman air conditioner with serial number [redacted] installed one week ago. I noticed a strange air pressure noise coming from the right side of the air handler a few days after installation, especially after the AC stops. The noise resembles a clarinet playing, starting at mid-range and escalating to a high pitch. This musical whistle lasts for 2-3 minutes each time, more noticeable at night, disturbing my family's sleep. My technician came last Friday, heard the sound, and was baffled. He recorded it for further analysis. If you provide your email, I can share the sound file. Any advice you can offer for me to pass on to my technician would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, David

My parents' Goodman 5-year-old AC unit has had issues since day one of purchase. It has cost us $[redacted] in out-of-pocket repairs on top of the initial $[redacted] price. The unit requires Freon yearly, leaving us without AC for days in the hot Florida summers. With my parents' health issues, this situation is seriously concerning. The company who installed it refuses to fix it anymore and never informed my 80-year-old parents about the warranty. Our previous unit in NY lasted over 10 years with no problems. We were not informed about the warranty during the purchase, and now we are stuck with a huge bill. It's been a nightmare, and I have been told the unit might be defective. My neighbor also had issues with their Goodman unit. I am seeking advice on who is accountable for defective units as it seems nobody is willing to assist. The Florida heat is unbearable, and my parents urgently need help. Please advise me on how to address this issue.

I hired Four Seasons Mechanical Services to install my new Goodman heat pump, but the job was incomplete. The system did not work initially and later fell apart due to poor installation with only aluminum tape holding parts together. I discovered the issue by chance in the attic. Despite reaching out to Gary (Charlie) Keyser, he missed appointments and stopped responding to calls and texts. This experience is frustrating, especially after paying extra for the system during a materials shortage and having strangers in my home for days without a functional HVAC system.

I had a unit installed less than 2 years ago, and the coil is already defective. After ordering a replacement from the local store, I was informed it's on backorder until the end of November or December. I called as a consumer and was asked for a PO. After a few days, I provided it, and miraculously, the item was suddenly in stock and promised for the next delivery truck to the nearest Goodman. Three days later, when I called for an expected delivery time, no one could provide an exact date. After pressing for details, they finally confirmed it was authorized and would be on its way tomorrow, possibly arriving next week, which is a delay of 7 days. It's disappointing they didn't offer other options initially. In the future, they could suggest getting approval for a new air handler or overnighting a part, especially to avoid the sweltering Florida heat. I cannot recommend this company based on this experience.

Having issues with my Goodman GMES[redacted]CX furnace experiencing an intermittent failure to ignite and going into lockout. I've already changed the gas valve and board, verified the flue and ground, and checked all connections, but I'm still having the problem. It doesn't seem to be related to the gas valve or board. I suspect it might be a faulty 12-pin connector or possibly an over-temp limit issue causing the fault. Recently, I resolved a no-heat call by removing and reattaching the door, but I am unsure when the problem will reoccur. Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated.

The heater lights up initially when the thermostat is at 70 degrees, but once it drops below that, it won't relight without being reset. The blower speed was changed from the lowest setting to the second as recommended by a Goodman technician, but this didn't fix the issue. The heater is around 1 year old and worked fine until the problem started a week to 10 days ago. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

I recently bought a 3-ton Goodman gas pack, and after just 10 months, the compressor failed. The service technician replaced the compressor under warranty but charged me for shipping, labor, and freon totaling $[redacted]. Now, after 2 months, the air stopped cooling, and the technician found low freon due to a possible leak, maybe in the coils. I'm frustrated with these recurring issues on a new unit that I expected to last at least 5 years trouble-free. I need assistance as I cannot afford these unexpected expenses. If anyone can offer guidance, I would greatly appreciate it. - Darryl G.

I purchased a Goodman furnace and air conditioner back in [redacted]. Recently, I discovered that the air conditioner's condenser needs to be replaced according to the technician. It seems that many [redacted] models are experiencing issues with the condenser. Luckily, the part is still under warranty, but I will have to cover the installation costs and I was informed that the part is back ordered. I am disappointed because Goodman units typically last 10-15 years. I had to pay $[redacted].25 for the technician's diagnosis, and now I face additional expenses for installation. It is frustrating to be without air conditioning for the rest of the summer. Is there any possibility that Goodman would assist with covering the installation costs considering the widespread issue with the faulty compressors in this particular year's model? Sincerely, M. Dennehy

I have a Goodman DSCZ160481AF heat pump system installed in my home, approximately 4 years old. For three years, I have been encountering issues with the heat pump not activating. Last winter, the initial contractor made 6 service calls. Initially, they suspected a faulty control panel, so they replaced it. However, the problem persisted, and it was discovered that a sensor at the bottom of the unit was loose on a pipe. The sensor was reattached, which temporarily resolved the issue. Despite multiple revisits and reattachments of the sensor, the problem persisted. Today, the contractor made their third visit in the last three weeks and managed to restart the heat pump, but admitted they are unsure about the root cause of the intermittent operation. I am concerned about their ability to diagnose the problem and am considering reaching out to a factory technician for further assistance.

We recently received a package from Goodman Manufacturing, but the packing slip doesn't mention the PO# we issued. I am looking for the specific PO# we provided. The Goodman Manufacturing pick ticket lists PO#S[redacted] / Order# [redacted] for (2) Circuit Assemblies. I would like to know the name of the individual from our company who placed the order and also obtain a copy of the specific PO we issued. Thank you.
