By refusing delivery on Monday, ** hrs. after it's arrival, I was trying to ensure that the food I spent quite a bit of money to have shipped was as fresh & good as possible. I feel I had ever right to expect the BEST, acted in a reasonable manner. ... I ordered Muffuletta's from Central Grocery in New Orleans, (My order * was: Order ******** Mar **, ****). It was not delivered Friday morning as scheduled due to issues with the UPS branch in Carlsbad. It was going to be rescheduled for delivery on Monday evening but I explained I would refuse to accept delivery at that time & my reasons why. The tracking number was: *Z*R**************. UPS agents that I spoke with from their office in Georgia accepted liabilities at that time. I have filed a claim by email, and submitted a complaint as well through UPS online resources. I have given them all information available to me to assist them in resolving the matter. If there is any additional steps you require from me in having this matter resolved by the complete replacement of my original order, with no additional cost or charges for me to pay, in the quickest way possible for the Muffuletta's to reach me, please advise me ASAP. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
The delay in receiving my order is frustrating because I have been craving a Muffuletta for months, & after discovering it was possible to have one shipped, I had to wait an additional * weeks in order to afford it. I have a difficult time with eating. Either nothing appeals to me, or I am so nauseous or sick I am unable to eat. I have colon cancer & chose not to have surgery or any chemical therapies & was given at most * years to live. I was diagnosed in **** & I am still breathing. My health is much worse than back then, & I feel my time slipping away, so my patients is not the best, but waiting from last Monday, when I places the order till Friday, when it should have arrived was almost unbearable. Now, I have moved past hunger, disappointment & anger & moved into depression.
I just want UPS to do what they said they would, & for you work with them without my having to explain, make demands, argue or get involved any further. I have taken ever effort, did everything I could contemplate being necessary or required from me to expedite the process of getting the food in front of me. If you would PLEASE do the same, it would be much appreciated.
I will most likely not be a very good customer because first of all since being put on hospice & having to live on disability & Medicaid the cost of your service is almost prohibitively affordable for me. Secondly, I will not be alive much longer to make purchases. But, I have told many friends who are still in the workforce or have jobs about my extravagant splurge. They are curious as to how it goes...
I've done everything I could think might be required or necessary on my behalf.
