Withdrawal Concerns and Beneficiary Change Needed I am encountering issues with changing the beneficiary for a fundraiser I manage. Originally, Robin Berli was set up to receive the funds, but she is now hesitant to provide her social security number for Paypal. Tom Gillespie, the intended recipient, is willing to receive the withdrawals. As the fundraiser organizer, I need to address this promptly as we are approaching the 30-day mark. I need guidance on how to proceed to switch the beneficiary to Tom Gillespie to avoid any disruptions to the fundraiser's momentum. Your assistance in resolving this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you. -Shelly Linebaugh

I initiated and managed a GoFundMe campaign for a friend in Egypt dedicated to rescuing cats and facilitating their adoption into loving homes. Despite receiving contributions, my account was unexpectedly disabled by GoFundMe. Regrettably, I am unable to access my account or respond to the numerous emails I have received concerning this issue. To compound matters, WePay has informed me that two donors have requested refunds, resulting in them debiting funds directly from my personal checking account without explanation. This has left me in a precarious financial situation, especially given the current circumstances where I am unable to work due to the pandemic. The funds that were withdrawn were not from the donations collected, as those were already disbursed to support the cat rescue mission. I urgently seek assistance from someone who can resolve this matter promptly and ensure the funds are returned to my checking account. Sincerely, Kathleen McCabe

I had a GoFundMe account for my ex-husband's Embrel medication about 4-5 years ago. It has a zero balance, and no funds were ever deposited. I didn't realize I needed to close or delete the account. It was under the name Janet (Jan) Gilkeson, with the email [redacted] Fast forward to [redacted], I now own a licensed medical transport and pet sitting company in The Villages, FL, where we are raising money for healthcare workers and first responders. On my Facebook page "Jan Ring for Howdy Doodle Pet Services," I opened a new GoFundMe account with $[redacted] in donations to buy food for them. I recently downloaded the GoFundMe app and saw my old account with no funds. I need help sorting this out so I can access the money to purchase food for our healthcare heroes. The old account was mistakenly spelled as "JAM" instead of Jan. Thank you. Janet M Young Email: [redacted]

Last week, sadly, my American friend passed away in Mexico. The morgue requested $[redacted] for cremation. A woman claiming to be his niece (the daughter of his estranged sister) reached out on Facebook to raise funds for expenses. My friend did not want a funeral or his remains returned to the US. The deceased's sister contacted the lawyer handling the matter and demanded money in exchange for sharing the social security number and banking details of the deceased. I overheard her plotting how to access his April SSDI payment in a call earlier this week.

Hello, We did not violate any terms or conditions. This campaign is organized by the Women's First Division Football and they will not hold any raffles on our website. I sent an email seeking more information on the donations within the website, which I currently lack. Kindly advise on the steps needed to reactivate this campaign, as there are many individuals willing to contribute to this noble cause. The link provided is similar to our campaign, which aims to support efforts against COVID-19, following the example of other campaigns. This matter is urgent. I have included my phone number for easier contact (+34 [redacted] [redacted] [redacted]). Please respond promptly as I require the campaign to be active. Awaiting your prompt reply. Thank you in advance.

Hello, I'm Raymond P. I'm trying to create a GoFundMe for my stepmother, Elaine P. Unfortunately, my dad, Raymond P. Sr., has contracted COVID-19 and is in critical condition in the ICU. Due to this, my stepmom needs financial support for living expenses as my dad was the main income provider. I'm having trouble setting up the fundraiser as it keeps prompting me to contact a GoFundMe representative for assistance. Your help is appreciated.

I set up a GoFundMe campaign for my small business. I can view the page in the preview and have received the auto-generated 'You're Live' email from GoFundMe. However, when trying to search by zip code or business name, the campaign does not appear. I followed the instructions to link it with my Facebook account as advised on the site, even though GoFundMe doesn't mention this step in their directions. I checked all the boxes but the campaign is still not showing up. Assistance needed!

I created a GoFundMe account for my friend, who tragically lost her baby. Initially, I named her as the sole beneficiary, but I later discovered she lacks a tax ID or valid CA license number. Despite her clicking on the "Accept Money" and "Verify Email" buttons from GoFundMe, she couldn't finalize her bank account setup due to missing information. I'm now looking to switch the beneficiary to myself so I can retrieve the funds and find an alternative way to support her. How should I proceed with this change?

Hello, I set up a GoFundMe and tried to initiate withdrawals. Initially, I got an email saying the money was being sent, but it got rejected. I double-checked my bank details, even uploaded my birth certificate, but the issue persists. Can someone help me understand why the money is bouncing back even though the information should be correct? Thank you for any assistance.

Hello, I'm having trouble adding my banking information on GoFundMe to transfer the donations to my bank account for a project in Tanzania. The system keeps rejecting my details, particularly the location of my bank. I am based in Germany and use Sparda-Bank Südwest eG with branches in Mainz and Pirmasens. Despite trying various combinations, I cannot get it to accept. I'm concerned about the warnings that the funds might be returned to the donors if I don't resolve this by April 21st. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Louisa P.

Hello, I wanted to share a campaign started by a friend to assist with my cancer journey. However, when making a donation on the GoFundMe page, there is a small box below the donation amount for tipping GoFundMe. Unfortunately, a friend, L.P., donated $[redacted] on 02/29/20, but her bank statement showed a $[redacted] charge due to this additional tip being automatically added without her realizing. She is seeking a refund of the unintentional $[redacted] charge. Could you please provide a verifiable contact to assist in getting this amount refunded to her bank card? Thank you, C.M.O.

I set up the account to help my friend's family cover his funeral expenses. Unfortunately, the family reported the account, suspecting it to be fraudulent because I didn't inform them beforehand. After discussing the situation, we agreed that the account is legitimate and they now want to access the funds. I responded to GoFundMe to explain, but my account was suspended without acknowledgment of my email. To address this, I would like to transfer ownership of the campaign to the family so they can receive the donations directly. I hope to resolve this matter promptly. Thank you.

Hello, my direct deposit for withdrawals has been set up for weeks for my fundraiser to my personal debit card. I have received withdrawals in the past, but I was expecting a $[redacted]+ donation to be withdrawn. However, on the overview yesterday, it showed the last withdrawal as $[redacted] and some change, but it hasn't appeared in my bank account yet. I did not receive any emails about refunds or deposits. Today, I checked again at 11 am, and it showed the last withdrawal as $[redacted], which I did not receive, and the next withdrawal as $[redacted].35. Checking my account, there was still nothing. Later today, the next withdrawal changed to $0, and the last withdrawal was $[redacted].35. I did not receive these amounts or any emails. I have re-entered my direct deposit information and re-set it up. I thought it would be best to inform you so you can assist me and explain what is happening. Thank you.

I have been attempting to locate a contact number. I recently made a generous donation of £[redacted] to your organization. I was unaware that a 10% tip was automatically added to the total. Typically, charity websites have a section for claiming tax benefits where I assumed this amount was going. Upon reviewing my pending transactions, I noticed the automatic 10% tip equating to £[redacted], which I am unable to afford. I have given all I can to support the NHS and Covid victims, and I am sorry I cannot manage such a large tip. Please arrange a refund. The email used for the donation was nighatawan@gmail. I hope you understand my situation; being on furlough, this donation was from my savings, and I will struggle if not refunded. Kindly advise on the necessary steps for the refund process. Thank you. Ms A.

I accidentally deactivated my campaign due to confusion. I misunderstood a notification prompting me to set up the campaign, which led me to create what I thought was a new account but turned out to be the same one. I encountered two links, one showing no donations and the other with donations, which added to my confusion. Lacking computer skills, I mistakenly believed I needed to delete the second account. Now, my campaign has just begun, and I am seeking assistance to reactivate my account.

Hello, my name is Luc T., and I am 56 years old. I am Canadian and a bit desperate. I am wondering if I could use GoFundMe to raise $15,[redacted] USD for a back surgery at the Bonati Spine Institute in Tampa Bay. The surgery would remove 3 of the 4 herniated discs in my lower back, as I am currently struggling with sitting, sleeping, and standing without constantly moving due to the pain. Despite trying various stretches and training programs, I cannot find a comfortable position. Unfortunately, Canada does not offer this advanced technology, and I have no family support as I live alone. I am unsure what to do next and feeling disheartened after a training accident 20 years ago led to worsening back issues. Could anyone offer assistance or advice? Thank you for taking the time to read my message. Goodbye.

Subject: Urgent: Issue with GoFundMe Campaign Hello, I organized a donation campaign to support vulnerable people in Afghanistan during Ramadan. Unfortunately, my GoFundMe campaign was removed as it involved sending funds to a country not supported by the payment processors. I am facing challenges with refunding donors as they expect the donations to reach the intended cause. Despite living in the UK, I am committed to helping Afghan families affected by COVID-19 during Ramadan. Your assistance in resolving this situation promptly would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards, J.A.

I set up a fundraiser on GoFundMe through a charity page for my nonprofit. Initially, both the register and donate options were functioning well, and people could register successfully. However, the register option has suddenly stopped working. After entering their details, users are seeing an error message: “Something went wrong. Please verify that your information is correct and try again. [[redacted]].” We have reached out to GoFundMe via email but have not received a response yet. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to find any solutions online to fix this issue. We have double-checked all the information on our end, ensuring there are no caps on registration and that the end date is correct. There have been no changes since we started the page. It's crucial for our organization to resolve this problem promptly, especially now when this funding is essential, and potential supporters are being turned away while trying to register.

Six weeks ago, my identical twin sister and I launched a GoFundMe for my serious medical condition. The account was set up by my sister using [redacted] and later, my email [redacted] was added to the fundraising team. On April 24th, a friend informed me that donations had been paused on our GoFundMe page. They kindly offered support and shared their own health struggles. Two days later, another contact from Instagram expressed a desire to donate after facing difficulties with the page. I am now in need of accessing the funds for medical services and equipment, totaling close to $4,[redacted]. Can I proceed with using the donations for this purpose? I urgently need to purchase a medical device by April 30th. If this issue has been resolved, kindly contact me via email or at [redacted] (cell) or [redacted] (home). The last donation on the page was 12 days ago. Thank you.

We made an additional account after our first campaign for medical supplies to gather support for food supplies. This account was blocked until reviewed by GoFundMe, which we did receive confirmation for. Despite this, we were still unable to publish the page. After waiting and attempting various solutions without success, we edited our original campaign to continue fundraising. The account was once again blocked, possibly due to supporting a charity in Turkey. After being unlocked, we are still facing issues withdrawing funds. We currently have over $[redacted] in the GoFundMe account that we are unable to access. We would appreciate further assistance with this matter.
