I have a question regarding a sensitive matter. Following the passing of my friend, some extended family members set up a GoFundMe account to help with funeral expenses. However, they are now refusing to release the funds to the rightful next of kin, claiming they intend to keep the money. Can this account be frozen and the funds redirected to the next of kin as intended for the funeral costs? Despite the next of kin being aware of the account creation, ongoing family disagreements have led to this issue. The funds were originally meant to cover funeral costs, but the family members in possession of the money are withholding it. What steps can be taken in this situation?

I initiated a refund request, but it couldn't be processed due to the missing URL as the campaign wasn't found. The campaign in question, created by Michael Valva to potentially fund his son's funeral, is now deemed fraudulent. I urge for a full refund as this case involving the accused killer of Thomas Valva, is gaining national attention. Relevant news articles, court records, and information can be easily found online to support my claim.

I set up a campaign for my husband who is in the ICU, but I've been overwhelmed with being at the hospital with him. The funds from the campaign were crucial for me to cover expenses while I focus on his care. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware that I needed to verify emails and make withdrawals promptly. Hello, my name is Tristan Walter. I am reaching out regarding the GoFundMe account that was set up by my late brother Jordan's best friend, Jay Anderson, after my brother's passing on December 25, [redacted]. Initially, the account raised slightly over $[redacted]. Unfortunately, due to some confusion, I mistakenly believed I had already withdrawn the funds when I received a payment from the military around the same time. It turns out I never actually withdrew the money from the GoFundMe account. I am currently facing some complications while attempting to process the withdrawal. I keep receiving daily emails asking me to set up withdrawals by Feb 12 from GoFundMe. I have provided all the necessary details, including my bank statement, as requested. Despite sending several emails, I have not received any replies. I urgently need access to these funds to pay my bills. I was advised to contact Lesleigh from support and have sent three emails, but still no response. My son had a GoFundMe page to raise funds for a medical conference. He is a full-time college student and works as a pararescue/E.R. tech. The page was active for a few weeks when he received an email stating they were investigating him. Subsequently, they closed his account and refunded the donors without providing an explanation, which is concerning and unprofessional. My son is diligent and trustworthy! I previously emailed without clarity on my issue. Unfortunately, the response assumed my problem was simple without reading my full inquiry. I am encountering difficulties verifying my email and changing my password on the system. When initially creating the account via Facebook, I was not prompted to set a password. Now, I am unable to verify my email as it requests a non-existent password. I am also unable to reset the password without the original one. I require assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you.

I have uploaded my front and back driver's license a week ago, along with adding my bank account and routing number, but the money has not been deposited yet. I listed my prepaid NetSpend Visa account to receive funds, but it seems unable to receive money from GoFundMe or Stripe. Typically, rejected funds are sent back, and I am asked to provide another account. However, as of the 14th, I have not received any notification or request. When I contacted NetSpend, they verified they could not accept the funds and no transactions are showing, indicating the funds were neither received nor rejected.

I noticed a message on my event page saying my account was under review and suspended. I got an email advising me to update the event, which I did. Now, I'm waiting for the funds to be deposited. I recently received an email from GoFundMe outlining the process regarding withdrawals from my campaign. They mentioned placing a temporary hold on withdrawals for review but assured me that the campaign is still active. To ensure smooth withdrawals, they requested specific information to be included in the campaign story. I made the changes as requested but it's been longer than the promised timeframe of one business day for review. I am unsure if they will hold the funds until the campaign is over. As it's an individual account with no other parties involved, I seek clarity on how to proceed to have the funds deposited into my bank account.

We have encountered a pause in the campaign, and we are actively resolving the situation. I am unsure if the issue stemmed from allowing the beneficiary to log in using my email to make updates, as when she copied and pasted from her Facebook page, her name changed and her photo appeared. Additionally, I sent a link for her to collect funds which linked to her Facebook page, leading her to delete her beneficiary account. Urgently needing to resume the campaign as we are receiving messages from people attempting to donate. Another potential issue may have occurred when the fraud button was pressed by one of her upset dementia clients who believed she was neglecting her during these trying times. I am experiencing difficulty withdrawing funds from a GoFundMe campaign in which I am the beneficiary. Despite attempting various solutions such as updating my bank information and posting updates, I have not received any communication regarding why the funds have not been transferred to my bank account. The organizer has also not received any emails and is unable to access the campaign due to having sent me an invite. How can I determine if there is a hold on the campaign or another issue preventing the funds from being transferred? I have been attempting to address this issue since February, continually receiving emails promising a response within 48 hours that never materialize. I have removed my campaign from your site, deleted the photos, and taken down my GoFundMe page. Unfortunately, my attempts to fundraise for legal support for the death of my child were unsuccessful. I am deeply troubled by the fact that pictures of my deceased son are still circulating online through GoFundMe pages despite my requests for their removal. It is distressing to see these images still being used without my consent, and I urge you to take them down immediately. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will have no choice but to pursue legal action for the exploitation of a minor, violation of parental grief, infringement on copyrights, and harassment. I am a grieving mother seeking justice for my child, and I will not hesitate to take this further if necessary.

I am concerned about my sister, who created an unnecessary GoFundMe page for our father's funeral expenses. Despite the costs being covered, she is using our dad's passing to solicit funds for personal gain. I took to Facebook to address the issue, but she blocked me and is now spreading false accusations about me, including claims of abuse. She has a history of mental health struggles and is currently isolated at home with police monitoring her well-being. I have involved my attorney in this matter. I am a representative of the Go Fund Me campaign for the Russell Farm Market & Garden Centre Ltd, with Vanessa Bournazel as our point of contact. Since March 4th, we have encountered difficulties retrieving our funds. Despite submitting all requested forms and documents, including the article of incorporation establishing Vanessa as a director of the company, we have not received any assistance in resolving this matter. Vanessa has made numerous attempts to seek clarification and resolution, but the funds have still not been released.
