Subject: Issue with Donations I haven't received any responses to my emails throughout the day regarding a dispute over donations. I noticed that a $[redacted] tip was added to the "gofundme" donation, which was not authorized. The "Michael's Migraines" gofundme account has been canceled, and I have decided to close the entire account and decline any further donations. It seems there may have been a misunderstanding with a donor who was told they tipped gofundme $[redacted], added to their credit card without permission. They were also warned not to dispute the charge with their credit card company or risk delaying their refund. Best, Amy Gullia-DeGregorio

Subject: Urgent Issue with GoFundMe Donations I have been trying to resolve a donation dispute related to the "Michael's Migraines" GoFundMe account. Despite multiple emails throughout the day, I have not received any response from your team. An unauthorized $[redacted] tip was added to a donor's credit card, and I have decided to cancel the entire account to prevent further donations. It appears there may have been an error on your end, impacting donors and the integrity of the fundraising process. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and will be seeking legal advice to address this matter promptly. Best, Amy G.

A GoFundMe page has been created for Tim Jenkins' funeral, which I, Candace Prather, have already paid for in full to Lankwood Funeral Home on Clinton Blvd, Clinton MS on 10/3/[redacted]. His wife's sister is soliciting funds for the same funeral, using a picture of a young family. Tim Jenkins' family consists of grown children aged 17, 22, 22, 24, and 25; his oldest daughter is married with four children in Kentucky. His 45-year-old wife is capable of working. This situation is misleading and potentially illegal. I insist on the removal of this fundraiser, as there are individuals struggling to afford funerals. Although I was able to cover all expenses for my son's funeral, many with young children are not as fortunate. I am prepared to involve a lawyer if necessary to address this issue with Facebook, GoFundMe, Tim's wife, and her sister.

On September 24, I made a $[redacted] donation on the GoFundMe website to Beth W. for her sick baby, Victoria. However, after submitting the donation, a mandatory tip of 15% was automatically added, deducting an additional $75 from my account. Despite my attempts to avoid the tip by selecting grayed-out options, I was unsuccessful. I have since tried contacting the support team through the website and sending a total of eight emails, but have not received any response regarding my request for a refund of the $75 tip. I now realize that the tip is meant to be voluntary, and I am frustrated by the lack of assistance. I am seeking guidance on how to recover the $75 and may avoid using their platform for future donations.

I recently discovered that the GoFundMe account I contributed to for a child's funeral expenses was misused. Disturbingly, the funds were not utilized for the burial services, leading to the possibility of the child’s remains being exhumed due to lack of payment. The situation was further exacerbated by family members publicly discussing the matter on Facebook. While the account is now hidden following the revelation, the community had initially rallied together to support a mother who opted to purchase a BMW instead of using the donations for her son's funeral and interment.

I set up a GoFundMe account a week ago to raise funds for my cousin's hospital bills and funeral expenses. My sister is supposed to be withdrawing the money, but the process is getting complicated. We have provided all the necessary documents to receive the funds quickly. Unfortunately, my cousin passed away last week, and we have been facing difficulties accessing the $35,[redacted] raised. We urgently need the money to cover the funeral costs. Despite receiving generous support, we have been unable to withdraw any funds due to ongoing issues. We are in dire need of assistance and prompt action. Please respond to my situation today.

I am dealing with a difficult situation right now. Unfortunately, my son has passed away in Oregon while I live in Massachusetts. A friend of mine in Oregon set up a GoFundMe account to raise funds for my son's cremation and other arrangements. I have been named the executor of the account but I am unable to access the money as the email provided is not working. This is a distressing time for me, and I would appreciate any guidance on how to resolve this issue as soon as possible, especially with my son's current situation.

Hello, I am currently battling breast cancer and have set up a fundraiser on GoFundMe with the email [redacted] I have managed to raise $[redacted].00 so far. I noticed that GoFundMe has deducted almost $16.00 from the donations received, equating to around $4.00 for every $[redacted] raised. Some of the contributions are small, like a $10.00 donation and even a $5.00 donation, where the fee seems quite significant. I was under the impression that GoFundMe was a nonprofit organization. Considering my financial struggle due to my medical treatments, I kindly request the return of the $16.00. This amount could cover several meals, medications, or even transportation to my crucial appointments for chemo and other therapies. Can you please assist me in resolving this issue? Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, smendoza

I arranged my withdrawal account, but it seems to be withdrawing a smaller amount than what was intended, leaving the remainder inaccessible. The partial amount is scheduled to be deposited by October 16. However, I am unsure how to access the remaining funds promptly. We are urgently seeking donations for medical purposes and need access to the full amount as soon as possible. Your assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I created a GoFundMe for my autistic neighbor who needs a new bike. After donations came in, I got an email from GoFundMe stating withdrawals were on hold until I set up a beneficiary. I am managing the funds for him due to his disability, and he is informed about it. I provided all necessary information, including my bank account, and was informed that funds would be deposited in 2 to 5 days. However, it has been a week, and when I try to withdraw, the message states that the funds are still on hold.

I created a campaign to support families in Garbage City, Egypt, but after changing the settings to allow the beneficiary to receive funds directly, he expressed concern for his safety due to potential backlash for assisting Christians in the area. Despite deleting the campaign, his name still appears, leading to his continued distress. I have tried unsuccessfully to remove his name through GoFundMe's support. Their website mentions the ability to request removal of the campaign summary and notify Google for removal from search indexes. I urgently seek assistance in resolving this issue for the beneficiary's safety. Your prompt attention to this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I am currently viewing a GoFundMe page containing completely false information, and individuals are currently making donations to it. I personally know the individual behind the page, and that's how I can confirm that the information provided is inaccurate. I have attempted to report the page, but no action has been taken. This individual has a history of drug addiction and has experienced multiple drug overdoses in the presence of their children, who are showcased on the page. The funds being solicited are not intended for the stated purpose. It is crucial that this page is taken down immediately.

We encountered an issue with our initial withdrawal from GoFundMe due to a declined check by Chime bank for a significant amount of money. Chime returned the check to GoFundMe, and subsequent withdrawals were successful. Despite confirming our account details, we have been unsuccessful in retrieving our funds after multiple attempts with GoFundMe. We are concerned that this situation may constitute fraud if the money is not recovered promptly. Legal advice has been sought, and we are eager to converse with the appropriate individual at GoFundMe regarding this matter. If anyone knows who is overseeing our funds, please provide the contact information. Our GoFundMe was created for Jesse Miller's urgent dental surgery, which has been delayed due to these complications. Our supporters are understandably upset by the loss of their contributions.

I'm seeking advice on what to include in my fundraising campaign. Operating a dog business from my rented residence for fourteen years, I have a loyal customer base and offer services like training, overnight stays, and daycare. Unfortunately, my landlord plans to sell the house, leaving me with two options: finding a new rental property with ample yard space or purchasing my current home, requiring approximately $60,[redacted] for a down payment in addition to my own $30,[redacted]. Finding a rental with a yard in this area is challenging and would incur significant moving costs, higher rent, and necessary modifications. I'm considering starting a GoFundMe campaign to help with funding, but I'm struggling to set a clear goal and outline how the funds will be utilized. Any suggestions or advice on framing my campaign's objectives would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. - L.P.

My campaign was reported as fraud, but that's not the case. After a car accident involving two families, a GoFundMe was set up for the other family. I'm the sister of the surviving driver who is in poor medical condition and uninsured. I'm trying to help with medical bills. He deserves care regardless of others' opinions. If people wish to donate, they can. I don't feel the need to provide more details. I've been receiving harassing emails through the site.

I have been a victim of a staged accident with around $7,[redacted]-$8,[redacted] in damages. The other driver deliberately caused the accident by speeding up to 75 mph in a 35 mph zone and got me charged based on false claims made by his witness. I am a 66-year-old female struggling with health issues, cycling 5 miles each way to a food desert due to not having my car after the incident. I need assistance navigating this legal battle as I contest the citation and deal with the other party's history of criminal activities. I'm reaching out for help as I fight against this injustice impacting my life drastically. Your support in monitoring this situation and advocating on my behalf would be greatly appreciated.

I'm reaching out for assistance because we have funds in our GoFundMe account earmarked for a medical emergency. My wife is currently in Japan undergoing treatment for brain and liver tumors. However, despite our numerous requests, GoFundMe has not released the money to us. We have provided all the necessary information repeatedly but keep receiving generic excuses and additional requests. Unfortunately, we are unable to speak with anyone directly and feel frustrated by the lack of progress. Can someone please offer us some guidance or help in this matter? Thank you. - Michael M. / Kimber G.

I am concerned about an individual using your services in Laconia. It appears that he is misusing money, trying to obtain funds from my girlfriend under false pretenses. This person has misrepresented himself, claiming association with the fire and police department. I know this because I work as an EMT and firefighter in the area. If you could investigate this matter, it would be greatly appreciated. My name is Erin Malloy, and you can reach me at [redacted]. Thank you.

I reached out via email about this issue last month. Unfortunately, my ex-girlfriend, my daughter, and our unborn child were in an accident in August, resulting in the loss of our unborn child. We had set up a GoFundMe account, managed by Yesenia Gonzalez, to assist with the funeral costs. As of now, we have not received any of the funds. The individual in charge of the account was Yesenia Rodriguez from Williams, CA. I am Juan Cervantes, the father of the deceased child.
