My name is Georgianna Groen. Used to be Bloom. My service shop is Prime Chevrolet of Hyannis, MA, formerly called Beard Chevrolet. Look up my name and that dealership and you will find my history. It's long. **I am the owner of a **** Chevy Sonic that has been through * transmissions in under **,*** miles. Both have been fixed under the factory warranties, but both times I had to rent cars at my own expense for long periods while I waited for my car to be diagnosed.**The first tranny died in April of this year. I have been reimbursed for the car rental back then. This communication is about the most recent tranny death, on ***** of this year, for which I've had to shell out a total of $***.** in rental car fees, for two reasons.**The first reason is the * days I had to wait before the problem was diagnosed. The necessary car rental came to $***.**. I trust that the new manager over there, named Frank, has submitted the rental receipt I gave him to the proper recipients at GM so that I will be reimbursed promptly. This communication is simply my attempt to follow up and make sure that was done.**The second reason is the car I had to rent AFTER my car was fixed. I had driven my fixed car home and it had promptly died. I had to have it towed right back to the dealership (using up the last of my Triple A tow allowances for the year). **My car was there over the weekend of *****. I went inconveniently carless for the whole weekend, and on Monday ***** at noon my team guy named Paul called me to say my car was fixed. He said the reason it died right after the new tranny was dropped in and driven home was because someone in the tranny dept had not put something back in right or had not screwed something tight enough, or somesuch.**The trouble is, I had a long-standing trip to make to NY on Monday morning at *. Something I could not postpone. So I had to go out and rent another car. I had to be in NY till Thursday morning. That rental cost me $***.**. Paul called me to say my car was fixed * hours after I left for NY. I want to be reimbursed for that rental, too. I'm out over $*** because of someone's *****-up in a tranny dept. and a trip I could not postpone. I think you can see what I mean.**In sum, I want a total reimbursement of $***.** in car rental fees. One of the original Avis receipts is already at the dealership with Frank* I need the ok from GM to bring in the other one.**It is outrageous to go through * trannies in under **,*** miles. It is outrageous to have my car die as soon as I drive it home...just because someone made a little error while dropping in the new tranny. It is outrageous that I was forced to rent yet ANOTHER car for * days because I had to leave for my trip and was hours down the road before I was told that my car, which once again shouldn't have been broken, was fixed.
