I purchased a Nintendo Switch last night with the promotion to get a $** estore card. The card was not in the box, I contacted the store I purchased it from and was told that there was nothing they could do to contact Nintendo directly. After sitting on hold for over an hour with Nintendo, they told me it was technically a Gamestop promotion so the store would be responsible for the $** card. I drove back to the store, the Manager again told me there was nothing he could do without doing a full return and waiting for a new system to be delivered or recommended that I just return the system and go across the street and buy it from Walmart.... This has been terribly frustrating all for a $** ecard to buy a game from the Nintendo store so my children can play the system as well... I spent over $*** yesterday in the store and have to deal with a manager who was getting irritated with me for wanting the $** card that is promised in your ad, as well as on the system packaging. The only alternative that was given to me was to purchase a $*** memory card, back up my system and return to the store a *rd time when a new shipment comes in and do a full return and swap out the system for a new one. When all that would need to be done is for the store to activate a $** ecard that is currently sitting next to the counter and hand it wo me and say “sorry for the hassle sir, we will figure put the mistake on our end”.... If I have to return the system in order to rectify the situation I absolutely will take your employees suggestion and just purchase the replacement from Walmart instead.
