I recently purchased a standard edition of COD WWII from the Game Stop on Steinway in Astoria, Queens, NY. Typically, when you buy a season pass to go with the game, you are supposed to receive a digital edition with a code inside the case. However, I was sold the standard edition without the season pass code. I purchased the season pass for $59.99 and was informed that the code would be on the receipt since November [redacted] when COD WWII was released. After a year of trying to access my season pass by contacting both the retailer and Activision, I discovered that I should have been sold the digital deluxe edition with the pre-order pick-up, not the standard edition I received. I strongly believe I should be provided with a new code to finally redeem the season pass after being misled for a whole year. The confusion arose from being incorrectly informed that the code was on my receipt, when it was actually codes for bonus DLC maps and a chance to win a motorcycle. Despite going back and forth with support, Game Stop directed me to Activision, and now I find myself stuck in this frustrating cycle. This situation is unacceptable.

I visited your store last week to purchase a Nintendo Switch for my son, his first gaming console. The cashier assured me I had a 30-day return window, but when I returned yesterday, the manager mentioned I could only exchange the item for partial refund. I requested your 1-[redacted] number, but the manager seemed unsure and claimed they didn't have it. After finding the number online and starting to call, the manager offered a partial refund of $[redacted], mentioning they couldn't refund the full amount or the game that was barely used. I reluctantly accepted. It was frustrating to discover extra charges on my receipt, including a $15 magazine subscription I wasn't aware of. Feeling deceived, I expressed my intent to contact the corporate office. Had I known about the return policy, I would have chosen a different store for the purchase.

I purchased a digital gift certificate a few months ago for someone, but they said GameStop told them it was invalid. I have the order number and all my details but not the original email. I want to check if the gift certificate was used, where, and when. I've tried emailing support for months without a response, and when I call, I get disconnected. I'm frustrated as I've lost $60 with an unusable certificate. This needs to be resolved urgently.

I believe I experienced racial profiling at both Valdosta, GA GameStop locations while trying to trade in my Xbox One for a PS4. Upon entering, they immediately questioned if my system had bugs in it, then proceeded to check it for dust. Despite my discomfort, the employee wiped the counter before I could inspect. The second location had a similar reaction, insinuating the first store had contacted them about me. Feeling disrespected and unfairly treated, I found the situation embarrassing. This incident occurred on 9/30/[redacted] between 3-4 p.m.

I recently visited your store in Lawrenceburg, TN, and purchased a pre-owned PS4 for $[redacted]. I also bought a game card and a 2-year warranty as I was unfamiliar with gaming systems and bought it for my 8-year-old son. I was informed by a friend that I could have gotten a brand new one for the same price, which concerns me about your business practices. The store manager and employees at location [redacted] in Lawrenceburg, TN, were quite rude when addressing this issue. The manager instructed the employee, Chris, who sold me the system, to contact Brad at corporate, dismissing my concerns. I doubt anything will be done, as per what the employees indicated, but I believe it's unethical to deceive customers in this manner. Thank you, David Clevette

I recently discovered fraudulent activity on my GameStop credit card totaling $[redacted].94 in a different state. After contacting customer service, they assured me they would address the issue. However, when I attempted to make a purchase of over $[redacted] at the store, I was unexpectedly unable to use my credit card. Disappointed by the conflicting information, I reached out to customer service again but was met with unhelpful responses. Feeling frustrated and undervalued as a loyal Rewards member, I decided to cancel my credit card membership. I have been a faithful customer, regularly purchasing games and consoles from your store. Moving forward, I believe GameStop should enhance the security measures concerning customers' credit cards to prevent incidents like mine from reoccurring.

I bought a Nintendo DS on October 20, [redacted], along with insurance, but I cannot find my receipt. I need it for a warranty claim due to a broken screen. I also bought a pro card during the transaction and received points. I'm unsure if the receipt is linked to the card, but I really need a copy of the receipt. I hope GameStop can help by emailing me a copy of the receipt.

I purchased the Ultimate Edition of RDR2 at one of your stores. Inside the case, there were two codes - one for the Ultimate Edition content and one for the War Horse/Outlaw Survivor Kit. When I entered the code for the War Horse, it gave me Special Edition content instead. I have received all the bonus DLC except for the War Horse and Outlaw Survivor Kit. I contacted the store, but they said I need to reach out to Rockstar. After a 30-minute call with Rockstar, they mentioned it seems like I received the wrong code and couldn't help because I didn't buy the game directly from them. They advised me to resolve this through the retailer. I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide me with a working code for the War Horse and Outlaw Survivor Kit. Thank you.

I would like to bring to your attention the need for a major overhaul of your website. It is concerning that your executive management has not yet addressed ways to improve the customer experience holistically. Among the many necessary improvements, the most critical one is the usability of the website. Being one of the prominent online shopping companies in the country, it is disappointing that you do not provide customers with the option to save their progress while browsing items. This limitation results in frustration and leads users to abandon your site. Navigating back through numerous pages to find a specific point after scrolling down a long list of products is excessively cumbersome. This issue needs to be rectified to enhance user satisfaction and increase retention on your platform.

I bought Assassin's Creed Odyssey on October 8, [redacted], a newly released game for $60.00 plus tax. When I tried to exchange it at GameStop on East 14th Street in NY, I was told the opened game couldn't be exchanged due to the missing plastic wrap. Xbox games come in sturdy cases, and we can't check the disc's condition before buying them. Even pre-owned games from GameStop may not have their condition guaranteed. When I contacted GameStop's Customer Service, I encountered a rep named "Walden" who initially seemed helpful but later refused an exchange, citing store policies. I emphasized that I wanted an even exchange, not a refund. Despite finding GameStop's return policy online, the rep was uncooperative and disconnected the call when I asked to speak with a supervisor. Disappointed with the service and the trading offer made in-store, I hope for a fair resolution with GameStop's corporate office.

I recently bought a game, Need For Speed Payback Deluxe Edition, two weeks ago. I only got the chance to play it last Saturday due to my work schedule. Upon playing, I realized it wasn't the Deluxe Edition. I tried to exchange it for the correct version, but I was informed that once a game is traded in, it reverts back to the original copy. I was further told that since they no longer produce that version, I would need to buy it new. This situation made me curious about all the other games I've bought in the past, such as Killer Instinct Definitive, Mortal Kombat XL, and Call of Duty games. If this is the case, I would've chosen the original instead of the Deluxe Edition from the start. Though I don't have the receipt as it was misplaced during a move, I can provide my bank statement showing the purchase. I simply want the game I intended to buy or a refund. Thank you, Knakias Allen

On Saturday, November 17, [redacted], at around 4:57 pm, I visited the GameStop in the Galleria at Crystal Run on 1 North Galleria Dr., Middletown, NY [redacted]. When I tried to buy a video game, the two sales associates there completely ignored me. Despite being the next in line for assistance, they chatted amongst themselves as if I wasn't there until I had to get their attention by showing them the game. One of the associates was rude and made disrespectful remarks like "Give it to me! See me with my hand sticking out!" When I disapproved of his behavior, the situation escalated, and he became confrontational. The tension between the employee named Ishamel and me was uncomfortable. Even though I was right, the other female associate sided with him instead of trying to defuse the situation. It was a disappointing experience, and I feel the store's level of professionalism has declined over time. It's unfortunate that customers are treated disrespectfully, and I've decided to take my business elsewhere due to this recurring issue.

I contacted Gamestop a month ago. I received an automated response confirming receipt of my email and stating someone would respond promptly. However, I have not received any further communication. On October 15th, I placed an order for the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 bundle with a 1-year PlayStation Plus membership. There was an online deal offering a $10 discount on the PlayStation Plus membership with the purchase of Black Ops 4. My package arrived on October 17th, coinciding with my initial email. Upon opening the package, I found only the Black Ops 4 game with no accompanying packing slip or receipt. Checking my online account, I could not locate a PlayStation Plus code related to the order. Furthermore, there was no paper inside the package that might have contained the code. While I initially speculated if a physical card for the membership would arrive separately, given the absence of any update after a month, it seems unlikely.

On the 11th of November [redacted], I visited GameStop at [redacted] Fulton Street in Brooklyn, NY, to buy a PS4. When I tried to use my Samsung gift card on Samsung Pay during checkout, the cashier declined the transaction, stating they do not accept Samsung Pay. Despite explaining it was a gift card, he insisted. Reluctantly, I paid with my credit card and inquired about the return policy, but was met with unhelpful responses. I eventually bought the PS4, games, and accessories from Best Buy due to GameStop's outdated technology and poor customer service. I made a purchase at GameStop in Laurens, SC today. Corey was the store leader who served me. I did not receive a receipt for my $75 purchase. The pre-owned Fallout New Vegas game I bought was missing discs. When I returned to the store, they couldn't assist without a receipt. I was advised to contact the powerup rewards number for an email receipt, but I've been on hold for nearly 2 hours. To complicate matters, I believe I was charged for the Ultimate edition when I selected the standard edition. Corey also left the store right after my purchase, which seems peculiar. I am concerned that even if I receive the emailed receipt and show the empty case, the inventory discrepancy was dismissed by the associate. I would appreciate a resolution, either by receiving the missing discs or a refund. I purchased Call of Duty: Black Ops on Saturday, November 24, [redacted], at 7:05 p.m. at store location [redacted] Taylor Avenue, Towson, MD [redacted]. However, when I opened the case, I found a different game called Little Loopers instead of the one I bought. I returned to the store but was only given a number to contact corporate. I am frustrated that I wasn't provided with the customer service number directly. I visited a GameStop in a mall and saw an advertisement in the window for a Nintendo Switch bundle with Mario Kart and a $50 gift card. Upon purchasing it, I discovered there was no code for the game download as advertised. On November 25, [redacted], my experience at GameStop located at [redacted] N Lake Pleasant Parkway, Peoria, AZ [redacted] was highly unsatisfactory. I was promptly greeted upon entering, but struggled to find assistance from the staff afterward. There were three employees visible, two at the registers and one labeling games, yet none were available to help us on the floor. After waiting in line for 15 minutes, I felt disbelieved when I inquired about the availability of the game God of War and was accused of dishonesty by Nicole, Associate ID [redacted]. Her dismissive and impolite attitude was disheartening when asking about the Black Friday sale, and her handling of the situation left much to be desired. The promotional materials did not indicate any limitations on the sale, so it was confusing to encounter a lack of stock and unhelpful responses. I preordered the Fallout 76 Power Armor edition back in June. I received a notification that it was shipped on November 8, [redacted], with an expected delivery date of November 17, [redacted]. My credit card was charged, but I have yet to receive the item. The tracking number only shows "label created." I have tried to cancel the order, but it appears to be "closed" in their system. Despite sending 5 emails and making 3 phone calls (waiting on hold for a total of 2.5 hours), I have not received a response from customer service. The one time I did speak to someone on the phone, I was informed that the package was "lost," but the confirmation provided did not match anything in their system. I am frustrated as the representative could not resolve my issue even after requesting to speak with a supervisor. I am simply looking for either the item to be shipped or the order to be cancelled.

On 11/16/18, I bought the Playstation 4 Pro Red Dead Redemption 2 bundle. Before purchasing, I mentioned to the associate that I might wait for Black Friday to receive the free $50 gift card that was advertised. The associate told me that this specific bundle was not eligible, but on 11/23, I saw online that the same bundle did qualify for the gift card promotion. I contacted the store and explained the situation, but was informed that they couldn't assist me as all sales are final. I need assistance in resolving this issue, or else I may request a full refund and discontinue shopping at Gamestop in the future.
