Please see the timeline of events below to get my oven fixed. By the time a technician comes out it will be ** weeks, and no sign of urgency to try and expedite anything or come up with a plan b:**August **th*Told by engineer that new part should be with us Aug *****th and he would be back out to us on **th*August **th*Called to see where engineer was coming and told he would be with us next day (Aug **th)*August **th** hours later received a call saying part was not due until Sept *nd. This was first time we knew there were * parts. Little*no communication between departments*September *rd*Told the part had shipped to us and should be with us by Tuesday. Double checked that it had shipped as the shipping date was the *nd September which was the due date previously given. Was assured it had shipped*September **th*Told the part had not shipped to us and was still on backorder. Was given tracking number to give visibility - tracking number given was for the part already delivered a month ago!*September **th*Person I spoke to spoke to shipping dept who apparently can see better data than she could, and they gave her a date of September **th. Suggested I speak to my Home Warranty company to see if they could source the part quicker from somewhere else**Calls to American Homeshield to see if we can get from elsewhere. AHS say they have informed GE that such requests have to come from them. Result - not they can't*won't get it quicker*September **th*In stock. Will ship Sept **th and takes *-* business days. If not here on the *th, escalate to consumer relations. Been waiting for almost * weeks and it takes * days to ship from the warehouse and then a week or more to get it to me!
