I bought a washer on July **, **** from Home Depot in Richfield, UT. On June **, ****, it failed to drain the water from the tub. I set up an appointment through GE appliances to have someone locally come and check on the machine. Appliance Alliance is the company that sent a repairman out to my house. He ***essed the machine and determined the drain pump to not be working. He had the part already in his truck so he went ahead and replaced it. Great! Until today, when he called to say that GE wouldn’t pay the claim because my machine is not under warranty. I only bought it on July **rd, ****. Less than a year ago. I would like my warranty to be set to start the day I received the machine, not the day it was sent to Home Depot. How do I do this? I would also like my claim from Appliance Alliance to be paid as the machine should be under warranty.
I trust that GE Consumer Relations will make this right and come up with a resolution that is fair.
