We purchased a range (Model * JM***DFBB) * years ago. * weeks ago I used the self cleaning feature for the first time. When it finished the oven door would not open. We looked up what to do online...did it...it didnt work! Today I finally got a service technician out here and found out that I will need to replace the whole electronics board and will have to wait another * weeks to get it fixed. I am amazed that GE is aware of this problem and has not come up with a fix and that now it will cost me $***.** to use the ** selling feature of the range plus over a month of not being able to use my range. I, of course, will never be able to use this feature again. I paid $****.** for this range and expected a better product. The only resolution I can see is a reimbursement of the cost to use this self clean feature.
