I was trying to talk with someone about our issue. ... We purchased a **** Ford Ecoboost new in the fall of ****. Great vehicle until last weekend of January ****. Extended warranty, ** month wrap around still had *.* years on it. *st trip to our dealer ******. Problems were: not starting and even after it would start, it cut off while driving. in shop until ******, replaced a control module. Same thing happened again, back to shop ******* until *******. Replaced "trunk".Third time, same issue and sudden unexplained changes in speedometer, other gremlins. Back to shop ****** to ******. They replaced the Body control module. Yeah, we had our wonderful truck back! Began to think of finally being able to go camping . NOT!! ******* would not start again., returned to dealer again. This was the *th time! We loved our truck, it was paid off. We are retired and had planned to tow the travel trailer during the late winter and spring on several trips. We could no longer trust that Ford could fix our truck. In fact , the service department had not put in a service request this *th time. we were told it could take months, with no guarantee. After discussing this , we decided to talk with a salesman about a new truck. We are loyal Ford customers for ** years. They just happened to have a truck with most of the same specifications on the lot , which came in that am. Old truck vin*FTEWIEG*FFC*****. On that day, we were told that the problem may not be covered by our warranty, not true. We were told the deal on the new truck was only good for that truck. We loved our color(ruby red). The trade in value of the truck was not optimized. We did finally decide to accept the deal and signed papers for the new truck. Vin *FTEWIE**KFB****. Picked it up on *******. This was done out of frustration and great disappointment. The poster in the service department states "of course we can service it. We built it." Just added to my dismay. It was not a happy time. We have a new truck and a new big payment each month. We do not really know what we want. Of course I wish you could have fixed out truck. **Pam and Mike French
This has been especially frustrating because we loved our truck for * *** years and it was paid off with * *** years left on extended warrantly and it stopped us from our retirement travels for months.
Mainly wan to talk with someone with knowledge and perhaps get additional monetary assistance on the trade in or further discount on payment of new truck
We have been Ford customers for ** years
