I own a **** Ford Edge. The warranty is nearing it’s end and I took it in due to the glove compartment panel being discolored. While the dealer was very helpful, Ford denied that the claim was warranty related. They said it was likely due to cleaning it with something abrasive, which was not the case. Had that been true, wouldn’t the entire dash be discolored or do they suspect all I ever clean is the glove compartment panel? Ridiculous. Anyway, I wanted to pass along that after my wife and I have purchased our last three vehicles from Ford (Ranger, Mustang, Edge), we will not even consider a Ford for our next new vehicle purchase, unless Ford honors their warranty. A warranty should cover defects in workmanship. We will find another manufacturer that will honor their warranty!!
