Trying to get the regional ... I recently had a problem with my **** ford Explorer in which I couldn't start the vehicle, a warning message displayed "key not recognized" and then the panic alarm went off on its own and would not shut off. At this point I called ford Roadside assistance for a tow, no problem the towing service came and unhooked the battery to shut off the alarm again no problem. The tow operator brought it to the local Ford dealership the problem started, the service department head called me and rudely to me that they couldn't reproduce the problem and charged me $** to hook the battery back up which In turn I reminded him of the warranty the service department head to me that is was do to having extra items hooked up (a radar detector and a camera). At this point I informed him that nowhere in the owners manual does not state that you can't hook up accessories and got a response from him saying "not my problem" I called Ford and asked for the regional service manager and told the customer service representative of the problem then I was assigned a incident number and was told I would hear from him in **hrs. No call, I called ford back and was told I would be contacted by Friday May **th. **** as of today's date May **th I am still waiting. The original date of this incident was May *th, ****.
