Dear Footlocker,**My name is Darien Singletary, Assistant Manager at store *****. I’m writing this letter to inform you I enjoy*love working for the company. Due to one’s personal opinions about me, I was terminated on October **, **** as a result of a minor issue I was falsely accused of doing. On October *, ****, I was verbally assaulted and made to feel very uncomfortable after being told by my store manager I’m obsessed with him and want a taste of him in front of other employees. I couldn’t work in the store that day, I had to leave. This wasn’t his first time talking to me this way. As a male I’ve been harassed, verbally assaulted*abused, and manipulated into thinking there’s no one I can go to about the issue‘s that have occurred in my store with the store manager. I’ve cried out for help to other store managers about it, They told me to contact human resources and I do but I’ve never received a response although I leave voicemails. I’ve tried contacting FEP multiple times and I’ve received nothing. It’s already tough when your a male having to complain about another male harassing you or even trying to figure out how to put it in words that someone is trying to manipulate you and when it doesn’t go as planned, feels the need to make you suffer whatever kind of way he feels necessary until he is satisfied. Which was getting me out the store. I never had to deal with a person that acts this way towards me, and I truly don’t understand why I was terminated. Again, I truly enjoy working for the company and I do my job well. I want to continue working for the company. I haven’t done anything wrong. Can someone please contact me regarding this issue. I was handed the bottom half of a ripped termination letter, but the top half contained the contact information I needed to attempt to resolve this issue. My store manager would not give it to me and instead balled it up as if it was trash. I’ve attached a picture of the half sheet of paper I received.
